- Feels like it's been forever since our last 'lovestream', but I feel like I'm starting my comeback finally!
Lots of new developments since last time -- able to eat again gradually, started my new drug trial, walking better (after briefly being in a wheelchair), gaining a little weight...more stuff, too!

What a blessing, for me. At 73 yrs/old I'm in the twilight of life. Cancer and heart disease are having their way with me. It's easy to feel the darkness, but guys like Dr Dan help me to stay focused on the light. I hope you'll never have to comprehend why that's important. Thank you for sharing this part of your journey.

Watching my wife die certainly made me rethink my life. I retired early and now spend my days doing what I love. Not a day wasted.

As someone with Stage IV colon cancer, you put into words what I've struggled to explain. Everyone says I'm dying and my answer to them is, "We all are, but I'm here today!"

It's the truth we all are dieing from the moment we birth. What matters is, to live with Jesus in His Kingdom
Yeah, we're ALL on the same journey, just at different points along the way, like your attitude.
The moment we come into this world, we start decaying (aka getting old).
Jennifer, my dad was diagnosed 12 years ago with stage IV cancer and today he alive and well. You got this!
Maybe you are skinny but I want you to know that you are mountain of a man. You have giant spirit! Keep fighting Dan. You are inspiration to us.
You’re refusal to give in literally keeps you alive - to be as positive as you are is your key to this fight
You can’t really say that. People that don’t survive cancer haven’t “given up”. It’s not a failing in their part. Some afflictions are not survivable
@@dollymando think so too. But also think at some point when one feels so weak and tired one might as well think: "Death... so be it, I can't fight anymore."
Been at that point and luckyly survived. (not with cancer).
Not everyone is communicating this.
Then letting go is very important too, in order to be at peace with yourself and rest of life and death in order to peacefully die.
Words no one likes to hear...
It's the Lord's will who keeps you alive, I never give in to any sickness or whatever though I always tell God to get me thru the trials of this life he is the one has the final say.
Dan, you’re amazing. Immunotherapy is going to work for you. It is. From the very first time I heard you say you were considering it I absolutely knew you would be healed. Not just extending your life. Healing you of this cancer. A few years from now you’re going to be running on the beach with your dog playing frisbee catch and remembering these hard days and enjoying every minute of your second chance. The treatment that works for you will work for thousands of us trying to hang in there long enough for a cure. Thanks for taking the lead. We appreciate you!

Dan I want you to know how you have impacted my life! I'm pain free (knee and back) for the first time in years and I'm walking 5k a day which is really helping my asthma but most importantly, my mental health.
I've told so many people about you and your wonderful back course. My daughter has MS but is also a marathon runner ( she ran the London marathon 2 weeks ago!) she is now working through your back course whilst training for an ultra marathon in October.
I send you positive thoughts and pray for you all the time. You are such an inspiration! I lost my colon to cancer in 2009 and then had cervical cancer in 2015 so I understand a little of what you are going through xxx

Dan, I beat cachexia from stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. The answer for me was a diet high in protein. I was eating 3-4 eggs a day after my chemo and before my targeted therapy took affect. I ate a lot of fish, chicken, soups. Your Mom's chicken soup sounds perfect...way to go "Mom". Hope she makes plenty of it for you. I drank the really high protein Ensure, too. Get some sun a couple times a day, take a good multivitamin and get some extra Vitamin C into you. I use the inexpensive Vitamin C drops in the big green bag from the big A company online. I take a couple in the am and a couple in the pm and they really help with increasing my energy level. Don't worry...it takes time. It may be a couple months after your surgery before you start feeling normal again so hang in there. Praying for you and so happy that you are obviously feeling better and getting stronger. Enjoy those enchiladas and tamales when you can get someone to bring them to you! HUGS from Alabama!

I’ve been praying for you. My husband had an aunt who had end stage colon cancer and the lord healed her. That was 30 years ago. God is able.
Of course he is able . But that doesn’t necessarily mean he will .
Oh Dr. Dan. Just seeing your stream helped me a lot today. Mentally, these few months have been the worst I’ve ever been. What a gift to see you. I have to believe you will wreck this cancer because the world and you absolutely deserve each other. I’m happy to hear the panda message made it through before the unfortunate internet issues. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with stage 4 lung cancer that spread to my bones, liver, . . .
I was also operate and 1/3 of my left lung was removed. I went from 210 lbs down to 133 lbs. After all that I desided to stop all the treatments (some trial treatments).
I turn all my energy to improve my diet
Will you share your diet? Is it drastically different than your past diet?
You are such an inspiration, handling this terrible ordeal with such grace! May God bless and heal you! Thank you for sharing!

I’ve been checking on your channel for updates and keeping you in my prayers ❤ my sister is battling stage 4 colorectal cancer and her latest scan showed tumor growth so she’s back to her tough chemo and a chemo pump at home for 48 hours! She just had another scan yesterday and will get the results next Wednesday. Cancer SUCKS!!!!

I’m watching you a little late, but it’s so good to see you here. Your upbeat attitude is inspiring. I was checking often to see if you were reporting in, so you’ve definitely been on my mind, as I know the same goes for the others going along with you. Enjoying food again is huge! Since you’re experiencing few or no side effects, you’ll be able to enjoy life more. I hope to see regular updates now that you’re feeling better, but not to the detriment of your improvements.
