Use food safe mineral oil for wood bowl. Laura Caldwell buys a lot of wood & talks about food safe oil all the time
A little goes a long way: just don't leave the wood "tacky"...ya know?
Food safe mineral oil is what you use on wooden objects that touch food. Do not use edible type oils ( olive, coconut, vegetable, canola, peanut, etc. becomes rancid over time and can cause food poisoning.
You probably know this, but you have a huge following and not everyone knows this. I only learned this 2 years ago from another reseller.
Ganesh is Hindu bur many Buddhists love him too. He removes obstacles from your life. I never put tape around stoppers! I have that liquid rubber stuff and I dip them until they fit tightly. It comes in clear.
Not cool of them to shine the light on you. Glad you checked those loosers. Your awesome. Thanks for the great videos. Love how you mix it up with great unexpected videos every now and then.
Have you ever wondered about pieces at GW, whose home was cleaned out and everything just donated after their passing? So sad....
Seen people take to the dump..so GW way better alternative
All the time.
Every day.
I think of it all the time but, it's okay all the pieces are going to a loving home.
100%!
Love the Mother and child Winter scene.
Me also
For dull wooden food serving items, rub with mineral oil.
Morning Joycelyn it’s 3 o’clock am ,I’m up my dog is poorly she got me up bless her so I’m watching you I usually watch around 6 thank you lv Ann uk ❤️❤️🇬🇧
I'm Irish,I don't particulary like eating green things but potatoes.....I love those ugly spuds😀🤪
Black Sheep brewery is from Yorkshire England. They make great beer.
I wish you had picked up that red lantern snow globe,I would have loved too had it. I had a collection that my grandma started me with, small plastic snow globe every Christmas, and they went all the way up too a cantaloupe size. Someone stole my money,I got evicted and lost everything. Since it's December I've been thinking about those little glass globes of joy. Miss Audrey
I miss Andrew singing Ring my Bell!! 😂 😂
Me too
Me 4
Me FIVE 😝
I am a reseller and super fan of the Crazy Lamp Lady and a few other CZcams Reseller channels. I also live in northern Montgomery County, Maryland, not too far from the Frederick County GW retail stores. A thing I have started doing when I visit these stores, is to see if I can spot items from your videos that you “left on the shelf.” I admit that I get a little bit excited when I spot one of these items.😀
Me too!!😂
They make a wire and clothespin set up for display artwork, so you can rotate through them as needed.
@2:10...pasta maker, not pastry maker. I have one, they're marvelous!
I went to a party once where folks were asked to bring a favorite sauce for pasta, then AT the party we made & cooked the pasta.
Foodies have great parties!
It was food, and a P word. Kinda made me smile
Wow Black Sheep Brewery is in Masham North Yorkshire UK, it's a very quaint, beautiful area, spent so much time in Masham as my mum lived at the next tiny village of Fearby. The brewery itself is a tourist stop.
Love those antique pictures with good lessons for the kiddos.
My father was born in Indonesia. Love to see the candlesticks for sale.
I was born in 1966 and mom had all 4 toilet paper girls prints on my bedroom wall.
I was born in 66 too!!
Oh my gosh, I just posted a similar comment! I had them in my bedroom too.
Don't replace the handle on the candies basket, it's original. I have some of the coordinating pieces just the same.
02:10 I think there are a grand total of 12 of those pasta rollers floating around the USA. Everyone buys it, maybe uses it once, and then donates it to a thrift or sells it at a yard sale. Use one once you'll know why. They just keep floating around from thrift store to thrift store.
I live mine
That is true. It seems like such a romantic rustic machine to have but it is hard to get it to cooperate. Off to the store to humbly buy some fresh made pasta😆
I use mine often. Both sets of my grandparents were from Italy. Homemade pasta is so much better!
Ugh teenagers! I was a bad one and I am NOT looking forward to my daughter getting there.
Valentine's Day is the next big holiday after Christmas (February 14th). You should have grabbed the frog with the heart.
Lots of great items today. Loved those potato, vegetable pictures, and green decanter. Thank you
Gotta love that Wooden bowl! And that green decanter! Gosh what a great shop! Loved every purchase!
Great shopping day! Can’t wait to see items on EBay !
That bag of shells and whatnot you bought for the single item: I would ask at checkout to pay the full bag price for that item and just leave behind the rest if they’ll take it. Less stuff floating around the shop that isn’t worth selling and needs something done with it.
Jocelyn you should of reported the young fellows shinning the light on your eyes to there supervisor, very disrespectful of them.
I know you were joking when you said 'obviously it's a unicorn', but I just want to say how much I appreciate when resellers and other CZcamsrs describe what they're talking about, because I can't always watch the videos, but I do listen as I'm at work sewing. So, thank you very much. 😊
Some of the Kitty's Critters go for good money. Might want to look at comps. Thanks for another great video!
I was hoping you would be at Shillington Goodwill. I stopped by Friday and it was worse than a pig pen. All the carts were smashed together and could not get them apart. Trash in all the carts and covering the floor with trash in the cart area. There were 8 restocked who just dumped everything on the shelves. Needless to stay I will not go back there. I absolutely love Jubilee in Wernersville.
Love watching you every night.
It was a shame that that beautiful Portugal dish/plate was chipped,it was really pretty.
I hope Hank is feeling better again. Did you found out what it was?
You have to show us Juliette’s artwork framed.🙏🏻🙏🏻😁
So great that you find such great finds at GW, the GWs in Maine are awful, I have been a picker/ junker for 20 years and have never found anything there. So glad that there are folks out there that do! Thanks for all the great videos!!
What a great Walk-through. You found some great treasures. Please Stay Safe, Happy And Healthy. Have A Wonderful Day
I love listening to your shopping monologs. Your voice is so soothing. :)
I agree :), The mother and child picture was very sweet.
I picked up a Fontanini Holy Family in box at Goodwill this week for 2.49!
Did she pick it up?
You, know sometimes she says a maker, and I don’t know how to spell it. I wonder what was that she said? So thanks for mentioning it.
Ohhh.... wish you picked up that Edinburgh etching. It was lovely.
I wanted that! I have a painting of a street scene in York, England that looks very similar. I’ve had mine 30+ years.
We are in the middle of a blizzard in Indiana so I'm watching your videos. I haven't seen any of your videos in about a year. I forget how much I liked them. So thanks and keep it up. I subscribed so I shouldn't miss anymore of them.
I am wondering what the Vet said about Hank. Love all of your videos!
I think there was an update in last night's video - it popped up on the screen rather than spoken - and he was doing good now.
@@cblaney3931 I know she said he was doing better. But not what the vet had said about him. Thanks!
@@Lisa-pn1ic Sometimes we don't need to know all the details :)
@@cblaney3931I agree with that statement in general about the family, but we dog lovers want to expand our knowledge of dogs.
That pottery with the 3 pouches would be great with herbs in the kitchen
Wow loads of great finds today
Love love love your videos. Thank you! The pasta maker was complete.
Food safe mineral oil will work well on the wooden bowl.
Holy moly - what a great GW!
Great finds today! ❤
I used to use a pasta machine for my polymer clay. I think it’s still somewhere in my craft room. Never wanted to make actual pasta! LOL
Hi I think you’re awesome, just thought I would let you know not to polish the wood feed it with wood oil brings the beauty of the wood back xx❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧
I was happy you picked up the teak bowl, I sold one like it several months ago and would buy another if I could find one.
Jocelyn at 12:58 there was a Bay Pottery Multi Chambered Vase to the right of where you put that Made in Portugal Planter back on the shelf. I’ve sold a few of those. They do well for me…I’m sure they would do exceptionally well for you. Their color glazes are very pretty and they have unique shapes. And, I think, they are very well made. Bay Pottery is made in Virginia. I’m bettin’ you already know about them. 😃❤
I wanted that vase!
Was that the same vase she picked up earlier in the video and put it back? If so, I was wondering what that was.
@@vickiet4500 I just rewatched the video…Yes, that is the vase she picked up at the beginning of the video. Lol! I don’t know how I missed that. Thank you for pointing that out. 😁
3:28 yes, I was surprised she put it back... I don't know what a gravity incense thing is, but still was a beautiful vase! 😊 Couldn't see a price, I think the mark was on the back.
@@Suzanna-chez-moi Aren’t gravity incense things something like a small mountain shaped ceramic piece where you put a cone incense on top and light it …the smoke travels downward like a waterfall and settles into pools of smoke as it travels downward. They are really neat to watch. Like to have one myself.
Happy to see you again
Hi- the frog figurine in frame 5:09 Kitty's Critters was a good find. Some of those can be worth decent money. Always enjoy your videos 😀
You should get the little display case for Andrew to display his stuff. That’s a good price on that
I think she should have got that pine one Santa and taken it to a white elephant 😂 would be hilarious!!
I miss the booth restocking videos! Love watching you daily.
Tonight is a booth video. 😂
Side note about “Blessings In A Backpack”……great program conceived by Missy Hammerstrom from Lexington, KY. She noticed that elementary aged children were coming to school on Monday’s hungry, because over the weekend there was insufficient food and nourishment available to them at home. This program is nation wide now and sends kids home with a backpack of food to get them thru the weekend. It may be available in your town. Check it out, tis’ the season! ❤
How fantastic! I didn’t know of that program.
@@brendatomlinson if I hadn’t worked in an elementary school for 8 years, I wouldn’t have either! I am in NE Florida.
Yay! It is a Jocelyn video!!
@LauraCaldwell uses mineral oil to brighten up her wood collection. She actually had a video specific for this purpose
Mineral oil will safely and nicely polish that great wooden bowl!
Wonderful framed art finds! That was such luck…and a good eye!😊
I have found that more people are holding onto their items since money is tighter. I am in De are others out there seeing the same?
Yes, same here in Cal
I was expecting people to de-clutter pre-holiday but the shelves are skimpy in central Alabama
Always gets a lot after the holidays so maybe it will get better at least that’s how it works here.
Yep, sometimes the cork cover on the stopper breaks off, and then there is too much room in the opening.
I have two of those that I have had for twenty years they are wonderful . Beautiful on the walls of my kitchen.
That 1970's bowl is great. I love all of the artwork. Thanks for letting us tag along.☺
Candies is made by YONA in Japan in the 1950's They made an entire line of this red/white stripe.
The Yona ones are more round, I think- The "Country Club" line? Pretty sure this "candies" one is a Davar (Japan) piece.
19:12 black wall sconces were from the 1970’s and sold with milk glass shades. We had them for yrs. They went with the house when my mother sold the house.
LOVE THIS
18.50 those are pieces from a victorian style african violet stand.
The carved wooden figurine is Ganesh, a Hindu God. He is the "remover of obstacles"!
Funny you mentioned Fontanini... I am sitting here listing 4 pieces I found in the GW Bins still in the boxes :)
That pasta roller is expensive and I would have thought it would have at the least doubled your money.
I am new to watching your videos and I’m ❤your sharing your knowledge also love the family videos 😊😊😊😊😊
You can use beeswax on that wooden bowl. It works great on any wooden item. I used it on my 50 plus rocking chair, it look’s beautiful.-Loretta
I just went to Goodwill.30.00 for a off brand name dress with snags on the front, very expensive everything by us. Small bags of toys $8.00
Hello new friend . The little silver looking basket need a glass dish and littke spoon. Its for jam. Thanks molly in idaho.
Lovely floral bowl!
My granddaughter is going to an art camp this summer here in Philly. She will be 7 and loves to create.
I finally found an affordable pair of red, handpainted Swedish candlesticks for Christmas.
Etsy had many listing but pricey!
Good evening, sweet beautiful Jocelyn.
I would love to see Juliette in an art class. Of course, she could learn a lot of techniques here on CZcams. She needs some floating medium to use with acrilic paints (the small bottles of paint in the craft section at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's, or Walmart) and some small canvases to learn on.
I absolutely love that you foster and encourage her creativity. I can imagine her declaring art as her major when she's ready for college.
Enjoy your day
In the Xmas section, at about 17:30 there is a Possible Dreams Santa from Clothique. They are very collectible and sell for good money.
Mineral oil is great to bring back wood. What tends to dry out in the oil renovations It
I use a little olive oil on wood bowls. It works beautifully
hi i liked the big lemon bowl
You are the Taylor Swift of thrifting. Love your videos 🤩💞
Miro! Score! One of my fav artists!
Don't replace the handle..that one is original always the best
Funny story… I live in the Mississippi Delta… my husband is a rice farmer… we have loads of bumper stickers that read… “EAT RICE POTATOES MAKE YOUR BUTT BIG” 😂🤣😝🥴❤
🤣
😂
I’m not even halfway through - I had four of the toilet paper girls on my wall as a little girl! Wow, blast from the past.
Mother and child pic is a keeper xx
Joselyn, teenage boys can just be goofy sometimes . About the wooden bowl; the very best wood refreshing with oil, is on line by Tiffany of Thrfting Vegas. A few minutes would be worth your time. ❤️
You should have talked to their manager not cool to do that to people.
Jocelyn how is Hank doing?
Yes, how is Hank? Concerned about him. Love our fur babies!!!
I found a floral Villeroy & Boch tile trivet a week ago.
I need that framed piece mentioning vegetables and potatoes for my grandchild. Potatoes are her spirit food lol
Hi Neya!
there is a wood oil that is non toxic. You can also try mineral oil
Thank you for not going as heavy on Christmas as some youtubers!
Villeroy Botanica is my pattern. I have been trying to buy a few bowls to replace ones my son broke. Everyone wants $25 per bowl and I bought them at the outlet in Luxembourg for so much less. Gahhh. 😂
The four first Villeroy and Boch are common the other two are rare, the line is discontinued but not rare in Europe
Food grade white mineral oil is great for wooden items. Wipe on and wipe off it's that easy.
At 3:30 - the vase is a vtg mcm Bay Pottery piece.
