John Wesson 19 terrorists died on 9/11. The joke is that you assume he is talking about the innocents that died, until he says they lost "19 of their best guys", when you realize he's actually talking about the terrorists.

It straight up made me cry and laugh with dried tears on my face. Great movie
I walked out of the theatre, and two women in their midtwenties behind, and I quote, "I laughed, I cried, it was wonderful." And yes, I too teared up, and laughed out loud, many times throughout the movie.

That is such a sharp suit, kumail looking more and more like a pakistani denzel. Man, that show is stacked with superstars. Feels like theyr ushering a new breed of really smart comedy post- community (which was meta centric and genre bending). Every actor just steals the show in that one.

His comedy is so good, it takes your mind off things.
Colbert didn't give much back..did he? I hate when hosts do that. They get uncomfortable with a quick witted guest and just switch off.. Unfortunate. Ellen is kind a similar that way. Kimmel is good in that respect he laughs along with guests vibe.
Which is why I always say, Conan is the king of interviewers in this regard.

pretty sure it won't release in half the places. Look at what's in cinemas right now. There's POC, Wonderwoman, there's gonna be spiderman. Theatres aren't gonna kick those movies out to make room for the big sick regardless of the reception. You'd maybe be able to catch the movie in an expensive theatre.
+awesome420ication That's not very accurate info, are you from India? There are literally 30 movies in almost 3-4 languages being shown in theatres all round metro cities currently. Depends on the city as well, Bombay has a very active movie going crowd so there's room for all kinds of films. Plus 'The Big Sick' is listed in the Book My Show website as coming soon on 30th June. A film like this has the market here considering it has Anupam kher and it's bout an American Pakistani guy, so even though it might not be in theaters for long, it'll definitely release for a limited period.
Is it just me or was Stephen really standoffish and kinda seemed like he wasn't feeling the interview. Like he wasn't really trying to converse and it kinda seem like Kumail was carrying the conversation. Just me? Okay :/

This movie was such a surprise - Ray Romano is really surprising - It's crazy that this is a true story -- it's funny, awkward, touching and just very real.
