42" Hampton Bay Littleton Ceiling Fan (SMC Made)

  • This fan is located in the bedroom at my cousin's rental house (she's staying down there in Corvallis for only 2 years in medical school). It's in White finish with reversible White/Bleached Oak Blades. It uses an SMC 131mm motor. Made around the mid-2000s. Blade pitch from the factory is usually 11. Uses a 3 speed pullchain and it's electrically reversible. Has an integrated schoolhouse light kit, but the globe was replaced at some point by the original owners. It also is a hugger mount fan. This fan has a bad humming and bearing noise, but the bearing noise wasn't made on downdraft in this video.

      Yeah the old Littletons that have vents on the motor are much better than the SMC made and the newer ones.

      @@AdinPanthersFanHobby exactly in fact my dad one time had a Littleton at his shop but the motor quitted on him so it got replaced with a Westinghouse Crusader

    In speaking of these Littletons they have a 11 degree blade pitch

    I like the oldest SMC ones better, but as for the newer ones, I prefer Air Cool made.

    131MM motor is bad
