I had the honor of helping out this kind family bring back to life their 1968 Charger barn find! It's been sitting for quite some time, but we're going to do our absolute best to put this Charger back on the road where it belongs. Think it'll run and drive after many years?

I cannot tell you how much this meant to uncle Larry. Even tonight while we were watching the videos he was laughing and getting emotional. The love he has for Joyce, and the gratitude he has for Dylan and Jacob was so very visible.

Yoga underneath the dash, man I felt that. 60's vintage mechanicing is the story of my youth. You kids have it so easy with all those electric tools, I love it. This is one of the kindest things I have ever seen on You Tube. You always restore my faith in the future Dylan. Carry on!

It's nice to see someone who loves a car enough to keep it, but store it properly so it doesn't rot to pieces. Too many folks hold onto things but don't have the ability to store or care for them and so they rot outside until they're worthless. If you want it, keep it well, but if you can't then move it along to someone who can!
Its amazing to see people that have owned a car that long and hear the stories and memories that come with it.
This has got to be the best revival yet. A 68 Charger, which I once owned one myself. A history of one owner family keeping it in the family, is over the top.
Man those body lines are beautiful! So sad that they don't make stuff like this anymore. Great job yall on helping them!

This is so freakin awesome Dylan, luv it when u guys team up. Luv me a 68 charger 💯!!! Surprised at how solid it is and how it fired right up! My best friend who sadly passed in 2015 in his early 50's had a 68 charger. His dad's friend bought it new then they bought it in like 70 or 71. They used it as a family car until it was parked. My friend restored it with his dad and his dad gave it to him. It was spanish gold with white interior, a 383 and a 727 trans. Right b4 he passed it was put into a storage unit. It was moved back 2 his dads house and put in the garage. As far as I know it's still there. I loved that car and wish there was some way I could get it!!! A very heartwarming story Dylan, awesome of you guys to help the family out! Awesome that the young gal wants to learn about the classics!!!
I learned a lot from watching this video. I just became an owner of a 1968 Charger that I plan on getting restored and I don't know much about old cars so this was very helpful. Thanks!

Dylan, this is exactly why I enjoy your videos. Youve shown great patience and the ideals of what a mechanic should be. To see someone actually taking the time to explain the basics to a young person, in a very concise way, so even the most jaded of us can remember what it is we're supposed to do. Too many times we get caught up in the hour rates and the overall work, we forget what we should strive for. Thank you for being a good example of a Christian.
You hit that right on the head. Worked at a place that didn't do that and was a real mess. This gives me hope even though I am totally burned out on the world of work in this nation.

This gentleman bought the Charger when he was 25. I know the 55 intervening years seems to have sped by faster than that 318 could push this beast. But, in another sense literally a lifetime.

Man just like the Camaro this Charger has a amazing story and wholesome history with its battle scars. I don't know how to put it any other way than your you're doing God's work for these people and the cars much love dude.👍
I was happy to find out recently, though rare as it is, my Dad's favorite model car he ever owned and the one I remember fondly the most enjoying with him as I was a kid, although it was exclusively Australian built in the 70s, was shipped in small numbers here in the UK where I now live and if I am ever lucky enough to own a home of my own, I will make it my mission to track one down to restore for myself in honor of him.
1968 1 owner true survivor charger is not heard of anymore.

awesome episode! i think the 1968 specifically is by far the best looking Charger, and the best looking Mopar ever made, in my humble opinion
I love that the car is still going to be in the family, and that such a young girl is interested in learning about it, and how different things work, the ins and outs of general maintenance and how easy it can be to work on your own old car.
And you could see the joy in the original owners eyes at getting to see his old baby coming back to life.
