OK- this one BLOWS yesterday's light show out of the Water, or in this case the Air. 😮😯😲😳🤯🤯. So many colors & modes. Since this a bnf I can see why there isn't a switch on your radio, so what they (( should Have done )) is supply a remote that allows ground control. I mean really you have to land EVERY time you want to change color & pattern. That was a really BIG boo boo in design, unless you missed the remote in the box Nate. That was one Really FANTASTIC light the night show. I also see that you had runway lights tonight, so you could have used those yesterday. Abby you were absolutely right the lights reflecting off the grass was great. Great flying Nate & video was EXCELLENT as always Abby. ⚓⚓👍💜👍💚👍💛💛for Amelia 💛💛👍⚓⚓.

I got one at my first Flite Fest in 2019. I have flown it at dusk many times! I even flew it at FF '21 with about 20 others! No ailerons, but very good handling. I prefer the SZD=54 for thermal flying, but can't beat the lights on the Night Radian!
I did exactly what you all were discussing. Since the Night Radion wasn't available I bought a conscendo and installed the lights on it that are available for the night radion. I just wrapped the lights over onto the top of the wings. Much faster than the radion that I bought when it was available.
I would ❤️ a conscendo with built in lights and flaps. Especially flaps.

This plane is visually stunning at evening. You're right, Nate. They should have had the option for light control via the radio. Also, one of lighting options should have included true scale aircraft lighting (red on left, green on right).

Man Nate, you convinced me to buy this glider! I ordered this and the Conscendo Evo! I just purchased both, since I couldn't decide which one to get. This for lazy night flying, day time thermal catching, and the Conscendo for everything else! I have batteries ready to go!

Lot of us Radian guys put a rubber band around that canopy. They do tend to come off in flight, especially during recovery from mistakes! Thanks for showing the upgraded night Radian...I may have to buy Radian #3, mine is a basic Radian with lights added, but this is way cooler.

OK, that is awesome. It would take a LONG time to build the same thing in balsa and Monokote, let alone the programming for the lights. Around 200 bucks out of the box VS hundreds of hours of labor. Sometimes the new is better than the old. Yes, I am old, and I have to admit, this thing is awesome. Thanks for posting this. Best LED lights indeed!

Hi guys - I realize this is an older video but I just bought one and ordered the WingNut Tech Mod for it. The windy (15mph gusting) early morning maiden was challenging but she did well. Looking forward to trying it during the golden hour on a calm evening. It did look pretty cool on a dark overcast sky with the lights on in daylight though. (It was gloomy) Blessings...

There are two different aftermarket thingies so you can switch your lights from your transmitter and change colors all that stuff one has a barometer in it one has orientation lights on its wingtips

You should be able to put the lights on a switch like you can put the ultrix on the bind button to change the light patterns in the air

I love the idea of the cool night lights on this but I feel that maybe the 1.5m Conscendo Evolution might suit my needs more (first glider, interested in slope soaring, higher wind tolerance maybe(?), robust to put in the back of the car without dismantling).

One of the leds in one wing broke. It was a pain to replace it but it was possible.
Bougt a 10 pack of then think I think it was from ebay.
And you can buy this kind of led stripes from many different places and put on what you want. Some even got remote for changing the colours.

I have the night radian and if there was a choice I'd buy it without the light just because the controls are in the way and I've only used it once because it can't be seen during the day. It's cool to look at in the evening but I don't ever get the chance to fly late.

I think this would be better for most people if it was smaller, say a a 1M scale (umx Timber size). I think most people would love a late evening backyard flyer with some awesome lighting lighting like this. But I can’t imagine many people going out to the large flying field late at night; too hard to time right and kinda odd to be out in parks/fields that late. However if it was half this size, I could see myself and others quickly grabbing it to do some backyard flying in the late evenings.

they now have a module for the Radian that you can get from E Flight that you can install to change lights in the air. Much better than changing and changing and landing for each time,

I like it but it is almost to much. If I had one I'd probably find maybe 5 or 6 patterns that particularly appealed to me and stick with those. Now I'm not sure whether I'd vote for this or the Timber as best Night Flite video.
