Like Big Smoke said: "I got caught up in a money, power..."
Basically, Sam Houser is caught up in the money with his boss, Strauss Zelnick.

Remembering when what Rockstar did (20 years ago) had an impact and influence on the gaming industry. Perhaps today this role is in the hands of FromSoftware, which has had a strong influence on several titles, in addition to being active in new releases. In the last 10 years, when talking about Rockstar's great achievements, most of the time it's about their ability to generate profits. Which EA also knows how to do well, but that doesn't say much about creation or innovation.

Exactly. If it wasn't for gta online then we would've got plenty of games right now

Tbh, am keeping my expectation so low for this greedy company. Rockstar Games were so good in the 2000s era releasing games after games every year. I pretty much liked all of Rockstar Games cause they were so so good to play. For eg: GTA 3, VC, SanAndreas, VCS, LCS, Advance, Chinatown Wars, GTA IV & Episodes Of Liberty City and so many other great games like Bully, The Warriors, Manhunt, Midnight Club series, Max Payne series, Red Dead Revolver, L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption etc.
As I told you, all of those games were a masterpieces. Their single player has so much depth and quality and it took them always less than a year to make those games.
As gaming progresses, the greed progresses much faster than gaming.
GTA 5 came and everyone loved it and as usual, they earned a lot more money than their past games. But after gta online came, i didn't like it but in 2014, i haven't even saw any new single player games releasing but i did keep my expectation a bit high cause they promised that they would release DLCs like the GTA IV. But yeh, after that Red Dead Redemption 2 came. I quiet loved it. The story was a masterpiece but I still didn't like that they never continued making any more single player games after GTA V Online.
I blame GTA Online for the fall of Rockstar Games. If GTA online wouldn't have existed, we would've got plenty of good games every year.
For me I don't give a crap about 1000+ details. I just wanna enjoy the good story mode and roam around the city like other games.
Sadly, Rockstar Games has been worse than EA. EA atleast makes good remake/remaster games and charge accordingly to the quality of it. Their games like Star Wars Jedi Survivor was also good.
Other video games are making video games every year and Rockstar Games is still stuck on 2013 thinking that people are gonna like their crappy milky utter garbage gta online which have been nothing more than a greed.
Even worse is the gta definitive edition half baked port and the removal of the classic gta games from other store has been removed.
And what made my mind blown out is the $50 scam of the Red Dead Redemption coming to PS4 & Xbox. I have been waiting for Red Dead Redemption pc port for so long but somehow they just keep disappointing.
Mark my words, Rockstar Games will only be way worse after that and even more greedier. Well, gta 6 will come and people will praise it, but it's gonna get even way worse after they release GTA 6 Online.

7:23 Hey... btw... if you buy a shark card, that money cannot be transferred into chips. Only money earned through online can be turned into chips

Sadly huge numbers will continue to throw money at GTAO and will be purchasing GTA6 so they can throw even more money into the next GTAO. Why bother with other games, other IPs, support for older (and better) games, customer loyalty and respect, when just one game (well, just an online element of one game) pulls in close to a billion dollars per year.

I dont know about RDR2 because I didn't finish the full game but GTAV did not feel complete and sounds like a cop out to feed more garbage into GTAO for people to buy because R* is just that greedy if anything the current legacy of GTAO should've been completed long ago.
