    This is the second time I have to warn you about your back. Buy or at least lease a hydraulic lift for heavy loads like batteries. You will strain your back muscles or develop disc prolapse if you keep lifting them manually. It is even bad that the lifting technique is not optimal and puts a lot of stress on your back. You are a fine installer and it would be bad if back pain stops you from producing these nice videos. Clean install as usual.

    Very nice, thanks for sharing! One thing I would've done differently would've been to leave some space between the battery and the gutter/inverter. Since that battery was hung on a cleat, everything above it will have to be completely undone if for any reason that battery needs to be removed/replaced.

    • @SolarEngineering
      @SolarEngineering  Před 21 dnem

      we still need some kind of conduit between the battery and the gutter box to protect the wires. and yes, replace the battery will be challenging

    Nice job ! I'll never understand putting equipment like that outside . I know it's rated for it but it just seems like it would have last longer out of the weather .

    • @SolarEngineering

      sometimes city restricts indoor installation, so there is not much choice for equipment location.

    • @fullyelectric
      @fullyelectric Před 23 dny

      Some locations requires outdoor mounted equipment, however the equipment should still be protected from direct sun light and all other elements, however that is a manufacture recommendation not required to pass inspection, so i hope in the future it will be required to pass inspection to protect the gear from the elements directly.

  • @fullyelectric
    @fullyelectric Před 23 dny +1

    @SolarEngineering do you remember the model panels used for the dual poll and emergency grid shutoff ? Also to pass inspection was all the labels placed on the panels? Also what type silicon sealant use?

    • @SolarEngineering
      @SolarEngineering  Před 23 dny

      Single throw AC Disconnect: Siemens GNF324
      Double throw: DTGNF224NR
      ChemLink M1
      and yes labels added to pass inspection.

    sir can this work well?
    power goes into the inverter then pull the power cable into the mcb on the far right then into the main source a
    Lvd goes to the 48v relay to trigger the relay
    Then the AC inverter goes to the relay via hole no
    Pull the cable from the MCB AC inverter output to the contractor so that the load doesn't pass through the relay then enters it into the ATS source B

    Not sure if you or the customer is aware (also not to be rude). That single battery can't supply enough DC amperage to utilize the full potential of the Sol-ark 15k.?
    Also in the manner that you wired it, an additional jumper wire tying both DC sides together is needed, per the install manual.?! Hope all is well 🙏.

    • @SolarEngineering
      @SolarEngineering  Před 21 dnem +1

      Customer is aware of the power limitation for the battery. One battery port is rated for 200A and battery can output 200A as well. If another battery will be installed, then we need to utilize 2 ports (install battery busbars or run another set of wires)
      reference from Sol-Ark manual:
      1.3 Connection Requirements -> 1. AC / DC Connection Requirements
      thank you for the feedback

    Why not move the vents so the maximum number of panels can be properly installed. For such an exprnsive imstallation, wouldn't it be the right thing to do?
