- So we decided to take this awesome new super sport machine from Triumph to Brooklands, to see how it matched up to another piece of iconic British engineering, Concorde!!

This bike is absolutely unbelieviable on track (and road) and mines on order!. Thanks to those geniuses at Hinckley my dreams have come true...
damn, i usually dont really go for triumphs but thats definitely one of the prettiest bikes ive ever seen
I absolutely love Triumph! Thank you so much for the review!
This is my first bike, apart from a 125 i had for few weeks before doing my test and it was fine, won't take long to get used to. Easy to chuck around corners and quick when you need it. I would change the suspention settings to comfort on the road tho cuz can be pretty bumpy.
I went from a Yammie R125 to a Daytona (see my profile pic) which was my dream bike.... best friggin decision ever made. After 2 years riding the Tona, I'm now looking at getting an RC8R.
Wise decisions mate.
Hey Bro ! Long time no hear ?? Excellent video as always, I think your garage of favorite bikes is now over flowing :-) Ride safe my friend !
Gorgeous bike..... Great commentary Luke
Nice review. Bike looks amazing in white!
These rarely come up for sale on ebay. I mean the 2011 or pre 2011 models.
Rare as rocking horse doings.
absolutely gorgeous bike
absolutely astonishingly awesome :)
hey i like your videos man there all i watch for reviews. i was wondering im fairly new to bikes but i have been looking at this or the ducati streetfighter which one would be a good bike to start out on? i know they say start out small but i dont want to waste a few grand on something ill "grow out of" in a few months. im taller guy 6'3 bout same height as you. which ot the bikes would you prefer for me?
Thanks for that very convincing review
Sweeeet beautiful bike Looks very Ducatiish. Slick vid luke.
AWESOME Show! This is the best looking Triumph ever built! I'm not a huge fan but it's one of the best looking Supersports out there!
@motorcycleluke I'm obsessed with this 675R but I'm not sure it's great for a first time buyer. What do you suggest for a first bike?
The naked one is called the Street Tripple (and doesn't have a fairing), it's unlikely that anyone will get them mixed up.... just saying
@motorcycleluke so would you say this or the regular daytona 675 would be a bad bike to start out with? I ask because im planning on getting a motorcycle in the near future, and this, quite honestly is my dream bike but i dont wanna start out on something thats going to kill me. However i don't wanna start on something too small either. (was considering a ninja 250 to start with, but idk)
Officially the fastest talking presenter/reviewer on youtube:)
done my first wheelie ever today on my 675r and it was a big one. probably wont do anymore as i only have 3rd party cover tho. this bike is awesome. ps im tallish (6'1, and my back is fine)
@mfrippin2 I do like bikes to be fair, and its hard to fault many of them, if you consider what they are designed for, but trust me, I have simply been riding some very good bikes, some up coming, that while still capable, that didn't grab me will be uploaded in the next couple of days ;-)
Beautiful... and that's just Luke... hahaha, j/k. The 675R is a stunning looking bike.
That would be bloody awesome hey!!! :)
which bike is good on city roads. daytona or street tripple??
@rosander08 carefull with the Streetfighter if your new to big bikes, even experienced riders can get thrown from that one, go for the Triumph 675
i heard that first time rider with no previous experience before is not allowed to ride bikes abov 125cc in UK. is it correct? cheers
PLEASE TRIUMPH MAKE THE DAYTONA 1000R or 10098R WITH THE SAME CYLINDERS :)
LET'S THUMBS UP!! ;)
Wooo Luke!
@danip46 wouldn't it be a Daytona 1050?
Subscribed!
@chaseybears Cheers bro!
@Perkii6 im aware of that thats why i need an opinion. Thank you i shall consider the kawasaki then. Thanks a lot.
@nick87nd Its a bit hardcore to be fair fella - in fact, I would suggest something less racy for your first bike, see the comments above! The R is very stiff, and unforgiving, which is great when your experienced, but not so great when your learning!!
what is the one at 0:07 ?
Luke where can i go to learn how to ride my bike better i want to be able to take corners better ect
I agreement with you ..
Why are brembo breaks better than Nissin???
Is it really THAT different for a normal (non-track day) rider???
@DJaysParadise You mean the daytona 675 mate? Yeah, this is the R, so its the 675R to all of us :-) Sorry simply dropped the daytona bit cos everyone knows its one! :-)
@rosander08
Neighter of those bikes are good for you, and the daytona 675 is the most uncomfortable bike out of all the super sports. Go get a 500cc bike or a 650. You wont out grow them for years. There is a difference between out growing a bike and getting used to the power delivery.
And when you buy a used 250 for a dirt cheap price, you resell it in a matter of 2 weeks once listed for what you paid or more. They are very easy bikes to get rid of.
Best starter bike is the sv650 for all of you first timers that want a lil more than a ninja250 but nothing too much at first. The Daytona I would not recommend for a first bike.
Sounds like Jeremy Clarkson who would preach British products till his last word.
@mfrippin2 Thats just aint true, most bikes are pretty decent these days, but he does point out faults or specific areas of a bike that he doesnt take too. This guy is an out an out biker...knows what hes talking about!
i get what you mean , because the Japanese bikes are 1000cc inline 4s and the ducati is a 1200cc L twin and the triumph could be a 1100cc inline 3 and have everything that is good about the 675 but just make it a bigger engine
they will
This is just a suggestion but why don't you check out some of your local colleges to see if they offer lessons over the summer. By me you can take lessons over the summer at the community college and they provide the bike and everything for free. You just have to buy gloves and a helmet. This way you don't end up dumping a grand on a bike you'll out grow in a couple months.
ugh... this bike is so beautiful it hurts
The newer models are even more beautiful
@rosander08
I see you're American so you don't have 400s there. In theory you can start out on anything and if you live in Florida for example, where the roads are all straight then it probably doesnt matter too much if you only plan to ride on the road. However, if you'd like to REALLY learn how to ride PROPERLY, do trackdays later on, or live near good twisties, get a Suzuki SV650. Its much roomier than any 600 or 1000 anyway, and is a great starter bike. Also u can look at Ninja 250
@Kratos2591 675R nearly the same as the normal Daytona, differences suspension, brembo brakes, carbon parts and colour scheme. Any sport bike especally one with over 100bhp at the back wheel and will reach 0-60 within 3-4 seconds is no toy are a good bike to start with. the honda would be better for 12-18month, just to get used to riding on the road etc.
No, but it does have a steering damper. I know because I own one :)
@nick87nd get a ninja 250 ride around for a year then when you feel comfortable get the 675R
the front of it looks like a kawa 636
@rosander08 Agree with Creaturecore - those are pretty insane bikes to start with!!!
You wont grow out of any bike thats 400cc or above, they will still do 0-60 in stupid time and 150mph!
Trust me - if you dont start small you will be a worse rider, i started on 125ccs for 3 years, then went up to a zxr400 before i went mental!
Best decisions ever made in my life were 1) buying my Daytona675 and 2) marrying a wonderful husband...
Long on talk short on walk.
this is true
It is called DAYTONA 675R... theres also a naked with 675cc so name it fully dude
perhaps a Daytona 1050...given Triumph's current engine lineup. lol
Has ever told you look like James May and Gordon Ramsay's lovechild? :D
damn dude stop slapping the tank.
Bro, THIS IS NOT A STARTER BIKE!
when you can get your knee down on a ninja 250 (or some other small bike), only then you have the right skills to buy a heavier sports bike.
Go get some Advanced Rider training at RoSPA. they will teach you how to corner quickly and more importantly safely.
Dont learn track cornering techniques for road use, it'll kill you eventually
ive got a 2011 zx6r,i had a test on a 675 apart from the great sound of the triple engine,the zx6 is a far better bike
@iBeatTheBeast KTM RC8 akrapovic
0:13 cyclist got owned!
i think MCN needs to look at your videos ... they could learn something about a proper video review..
nicely done..
every knows exactly what a 675R is. when was the last time you called a Subaru STI by its full name? Hey guys I just got a brand new 2012 subaru impreza wrx sti? lol
in all these frigging reviews the never mention the honda cbr 600 rr obviously looks like the honda is better than this bike and the others mentioned cause the cbr dont pull at 6 7 rpm it pulls at 2
to bad this thing hurts your back like hell, if your tall never get this bike
get the slowest bike you can afford and take it from there
Dude, wash your hair.
if you want more than a 600 buy a gsxr750 simple..
what a utter load of crap, any smoe can spend 10minutes on a bike and get knee down on a roundabout, it in no way reflects your ability to ride a more powerful machine.
it's rubbish.
