Hey Dr could u please tell does the macula get supply from a different artery or is it because of thinning of macula and underlying choroidal vessels shining through gives it a red appearance ?

Hey ! It is because the blood supply to the fovea comes from the choriodal vessels

Hello my eyes are blurred in the center and based on what you are saying, I believe I have the symptoms. I have type blood cholesterol and borderline diabetes. My mother passed away with a thrombotic disease. I believe these doctors misdiagnosing my problem. They keep saying I have best disease or retinal dystrophy. Who can I talk to to get a second opinion?

The clot contains about 4% cholesterol so high cholesterol is not really the risk factor. High calcium is what creates the hard plaques.
