- Too many men let alcohol control their lives, losing sight of their greater potential. If you find that drinking is more of a compulsion than a choice, it’s time to take a step back. Consider the future you are sacrificing at the altar of temporary escape. Every sip is a moment stolen from your healthier, stronger self - the person you could become. Start by setting a simple goal. Reduce your intake day by day, and replace drinking with a healthier, productive activity. Your future self, the one who has achieved what you are truly capable of, will thank you for this decision. Remember, the journey to recovery begins with the recognition that you are worthy of a better, more fulfilling life.

So how to replace that neural network of drinking alcohol, for long enough that it withers, with what, or how and for how long?
The most simple way is exercise, set a goal in fitness. Go hard, keep your mind busy and build from there. Meditation and NSDR also increases baseline Dopamine levels, which are heavily diminished due to acohol consumption. Humans can build new neural pathways (according to the newest research).
