Your brother with the hiking romance 🤣
A lovely, most lovely, experience, indeed! And clear as daylight and sunshine shows us how a real enjoyment literally pushes one to walk along and climb mountains!
Really love the vid! Amazing views, you make me wanna go and do this hike!
Aweosme video! These videography in this looks absolutely incredible!
What a stunning video! That scenery was breathtaking. I've just googled this hike and really want to do it ❤
Awesome stuff mate, just back from the Alps ourselves it’s just magnificent and weather was perfect 👌👍🏔
What a great video of a great experience. I don't hike but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Thank you!
Awesome!!!
Awesome videos! Going this September, so it is great seeing your experience
I loved this video. Brought tears staring at the beauty of the mountains!
This was so nice to see! I did the hike this August (over ten days though) and it was incredible. It made me smile seeing all these spots again. Breathtaking scenery and met some amazing people too
David your enthusiasm is infectious! We are booked for TMB next year! Laugavegur Trail next month. So looking forward to both! Thanks for sharing your video
Your videos are great! I went hiking in France last year for 2 weeks, and those mountain shelters were amazing. Too bad that I didn't take video until the last day...I somehow just remember to take photos but not videos. After seeing your inspiring videos, I think I will go to France again :)
Lovely video - your relentless enthusiasm and optimism was a joy to watch. I’m planning this for 2025 to celebrate my 50th 🎉
What a great adventure. I will be joining my sister and niece this year on a 6 day hike from Chamonix to Courmayeur in August. Your video just excites me all the more for this trip. Thank you.
Brilliant vid. Appreciate the effort
What an amazing video that's so enjoyable to watch!! I just love your exuberance and joy! I'll be in those mountains late June this year and I can't wait. I'll definitely stay on the main trail:)
Great video!makes my heart sore! Want to go soon!
Great video David Bought Back some lovely memories when I walked it a few years ago with some friends . Glad you showed the ladder section .
The ladders were mental!! I had to rush through them, but had a brill time💪 Thanks for the support Pierre! I’m happy you enjoyed it 😁
This is wonderful David, I’m hoping to do this for my birthday next year 🤗 thanks for sharing x
Thanks for the support!!! 💪🥳🥳
Congrats on a beautiful trip David! Felt like I was there with you guys, great film!
Thanks Robin! I appreciate you constant support!!!💪💪💪💪
Super. We plan to take this trail this summer. Your video is super inspiring. Thank you so much!
Thanks Vincent!! I’m glad you enjoyed 😁🎉
Wicked . I've watched 3 minutes and I'm engrossed already.👌
Great video Dave Mac!
Thanks mate :)
Stunning. Can’t wait to go and do it myself. Wonderfull video!
You’ve got to check it out!!🥳🥳
Great video, stunning captures of the trek! I'm planning to go on next year, and the video is really helpful. I also checked the other video on the trip (what to pack, what not to pack), thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the support!! 💪💪
Lovely stuff!
Cheers Charlie!!!
This is brilliant upload bud, outstanding piece of cinematography! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🎥
Thank you!!! 🥳🥳🎥🎥🎥
Great video, you would certainly be fun to hike with. My daughter (24) and me, her mom (64) will be hiking this in Sept 2024, ours is a 10 day hike and so excited for it. Thank you for taking us along on your journey!
Beautiful! This summer I would like to do the Tour of Monte Rosa and the lesser known Tour des Combins.
Great film man! I think what made this different from most of the TMB videos I’ve watched is you can genuinely feel the joy you guys are experiencing! Good stuff man! Heading over mid September and couldn’t be more excited
Thank you for your kind words amigo! Checkout the new Toubkal film too, I think you’ll like that for the same reasons as well 😁
Great video very inspiring
Fond memories
Love your videos mate, just booked up the mont blanc climb with adventure base roll on September 2023
Thanks for the support mate! Best of luck with it, I’m hoping to get out for another big trek this summer 💪
That was excellent, just great attitude and positivity, a suggestion maybe tag some of the main features so those of us who haven't done the TMB can follow where you are?
Legends
I'm going in July! I can't wait to do this. working on getting in better shape
Amazing hike David. I left you a like. Greetings from Switzerland, Benjamin
Thank you mate! Appreciate that
Awesome shots! What was your favorite refuge and your favorite portion of the trail?
I climbed Mont Blanc on Sep 23rd of this year. Your videos are great! It reminds me of the city of Chamonix and the mountains.
I'm cheering you from Japan! 🇯🇵
Thank you for the support!! Its very cool that my videos have made it all the way to Japan! Thank you :)
I was surprised to see many Japanese on the trail. Nice to see you come all the way!
@@NVIK5
For Japanese hikers, the Europa Alps and the long trails of the United States are longing and popular places !!
May I suggest to you filming at 30 or 60fps as opposed to 25fps? If so the picture does not jump so crazy when panning the camera. We use 60 or 120Hz laptop or TV screens which do not harmonize with 24, 25 or 50fps videos.
Glad the cows at the Refugio Elisabetta didn't eat you 🤣🤣🤣
Hahahaha imagine!!! 😂
Epic adventure dude! And awesome blog!
I'm keen to know how you navigated the route, do adventure base give you some pre planned download?
Adventure Base planned it all! :) It was lusssh!
Beautiful videography and excellent commentary!!Curious what month were you guys trekking?
September 😁😁
Somehow missed this one..what an adventure. It's been on my bucket list for years. You need to get out and do more of this stuff please, not the roundabout stuff.
Thanks SimonK! Mate I’d love to be in the Alps every week but that’s not really possible, so the stealths are here to stay! Otherwise it’ll be one video a year 😭 but that being said - dw the UK mountain trips are coming back soon 💪
First of all, an amazing and inspiring video bro!!!!
Really makes me want to do the trek.
By the way, what camera are you using?
Sony A7sii on this amigo 😁😁
Great Video David! Thanks for taking us with you. Do you have a list of the refuges you stayed or where you stopped? All the best. TCK Outdoor
Thanks for the support mate! I’m afraid I booked it all with Adventurebase.com so I didn’t handle any of that 💪 sorry I can’t help!!
Any advice on finding trekking groups to do this with I'm a solo travellers and would love to meet people AND do this amazing hike🥰
We are doing it late June, 2024….my question is did you post your route and where you stayed? Would haves loved captions on what col that was and what Refugio that was!
Hi mate .. quick on your trip looked amazing fair play.. I’m thinking to do it this summer which route plan did you follow and did you pre book all the refuse? Thanks Stacey
Hi Stacy! It was all booked and planned through adventure base and we went in September 😁
Can I ask how you got from Geneva Airport to Chamonix? When and where do you book the transfer? Cheers
What an epic hike. I could see Joe getting worse and worse. I'm glad he made the sensible choice. Better to stop short than end up with a mountain rescue. I hope he has recovered or recovering. Was it just too much for his knees or has he torn some cartilage. Looking at how he was walking I'm thinking the latter. Brilliant vlog, hope you are both recovering.
He made the wise choice! No both all good and fully recovered now, it was just inflammation after so many days trekking! I was suffering too but not as bad- you got to know when to call it a day! 💪 Thanks for the support mate 👊
@@DavidPMcEntee good to hear.
I saw a hiker like that when I did the TMB and it was due to an inflamed IT band. We advised him to max out his pain meds and finish each day by finding a tennis ball sized rock and rolling his hip over it. FYI, it is extremely painful to do but it will release the tension in the tendon and you'll feel better in the long run. He developed the pain day 2 while climbing Col de le Croix du Bonhomme. We didn't speak to him until day 5 and he was ultimately able to finish the hike.
What month did you do this? Which tour company do you recommend?
Watching this one for the second time in a week, love it mate, really nice to watch 🙂. Do you mainly use your GoPro or your phone? Or basically, when do you use which one?
I had to rewatch it after your comment! Best trip yet id say! I use a mix of go pro and iPhone to film vloggie bits sometime! All to do with battery life 👌
@@DavidPMcEntee 😃 Yes must've been an amazing experience and adventure. Thanks for your reply, you've inspired me to try to make a little video myself when I go hiking this weekend, that's why I asked. 💪
stunning video, did you sleep a night in chamonix before starting the tour(to les houches/ les contamines) the next day or how did you do it? I'm curious if i need to stay a night in chamonix to have enough time to reach the refuge.
Keep the good content up mate :)
We did sleep in Chamonix! On the first and last day
Do you need cash or is card payment available everywhere?
Hey, love the video and your enthusiasm.
We’re planning this for next September but there’s some disagreement on whether we can do the whole Tour in 7 days.
From the info we’ve found it looks like it’s broken down into 11 sections. Is it easy to link them up or are they all up and down so you’d end up climbing on every section?
Watching the film again for some answers.
All the best.
Sorry mate we followed a guided path from Adventure base so had everything linked up for us! We took a couple buses too, as seen in the vid - so I can’t be much help on logistics! We had it all done for us! 🔥 Thanks for the support mate 👊
@@DavidPMcEntee Thanks David. That’s our plan too. Probably wasn’t clear in the question but the guide says 11 sections over 11 days or do the highlights in 7 days. We’d prefer to do it all in 7 days without skipping sections.
@@johnjohnstone8107 Curious if you've completed the hike yet.
Amazing footage 🤩 would September be good time to do TMB or July is best?
I did it in September! It was a bit late but still good 👌
Why u think it was a bit late? Was it the beginning or the end of September?
I don't know how you managed to squeeze your trip into a 26 minute video, but it was great to watch, well done on your epic hike and adventure, the views were amazing 👏
Thanks Richard!! :) So glad you enjoyed!
What month was this that you went ?
hi David, my husband and I are doing it early September. We haven't booked any accommodation as we' re not sure how far we'll hike every day. Will beds be available do you think? Many thanks
Probably not! Deffo book huts or you could be turned away when you arrive - nightmare situation!!
I wish I had a brother that was into hiking, I do all my walks alone. 😅
I’m super lucky!!
Hey, how much is the average cost of a night in one of the Refuges? I'm hoping to hike it this September
I booked everything through adventurebase
What time of the year did you go for the hike?
September! 💪💪
What was the pizza place called?
Pan Per Focaccia, not sure why it's secret...
@@uTubeismyTivo maybe because its kinda hidden? Either way, best foccacia I had, soooo good and fluffy!
what footwear did you use?
Trail runners! 😁
This was so nice to see! I did the hike this August (over ten days though) and it was incredible. It made me smile seeing all these spots again. Breathtaking scenery and met some amazing people too
Was 10 days to much , or just right?
