  • In this video I show you how I make my Mason jar patio lanterns with copper wire. You can keep it plain and simple or jazz it up with beads (just string glass seed beads to wire and wrap it around the handle).
These are so easy and they make fabulous, inexpensive and thoughtful gifts. Give one to the hostess the next time you are invited to a BBQ.
    Tools and Materials:
    Heavy duty flush cutters
    3-step bail making pliers
    chain nose pliers
    Sharpie marker
    Mason jar
14 gauge copper wire-@ 10" for collar and desired handle length + 6.5" for handle
18 gauge copper wire for wraps around the handle.
Fill the bottom with some sand or pebbles so the tea light won't slide around.

Great video, did you use aluminium craft wire in copper or pure copper? Ive just tried 1.5mm aluminium wire in copper and it seems really bendy?

I use dead soft pure copper wire. Aluminum has its purpose...this is not one of them. Thank you for watching, Hannah.
