Dahlias in pots in The Sunken Garden

- In this video I’m showing one of the gardens 15 rooms - The Sunken Garden. This is a white container garden and now here (medio July) there are many dahlias grown in pots.
For about two months ago - medio May - I have posted a video (see link above) and here I was showing The Sunken Garden with hundred of spring bulbs grown in pots and containers.
It’s a passion for me to work with colors and garden design. And is this video you can also see how Preben, my gardener, is cutting the umbrella formed trees.

My name is Claus Dalby, and I live in Risskov on the outskirts of Aarhus in Denmark. To date, I have written about 30 books on flowers and gardens in Danish, and my garden has been featured on many TV shows. In March 2022 my first book in English will be available. I consider my home (built in1908), and its garden with its neighboring wood, as my sanctuary. When I started gardening in 1996, there was just a large lawn covering approximately 1 acre (4,000 square meters), but today the grass is long gone - replaced by 15 hedged rooms with varying colors and moods. Additionally, one of my great passions is growing in pots, arranged to create spectacular container gardens, which I will share quite a bit about on this channel. Decor and creating moods have always interested me - both outside and inside - and I love to use the flowers from my garden for bouquets and to inspire other crafts that create a sense of hygge.

We bought a house 3 years ago with a garden that doesn’t even deserve to be called a garden. Just big conifers, sand, weeds and chaos. Now I made it my goal to have a diverse, colourful and relaxing heaven for me and the wildlife surrounding us.

Loved the July sunken garden and your dog ....what is his name again?....Pots are very expensive here in California.....For a number of years they used to sell them at a better price at our grocery store , before Covid.....but we haven't seen them again this year......my friend who lives about 45 miles from me hadn't seen them at her grocery store , either.......the garden centers are at least twice as much for the same size as at the grocers and in some cases three to four times as much....... learning to be content
