- Last week, board members of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority held a press conference to talk about their response to a spree of high-profile violent incidents on and near buses and trains, but some passengers said they haven't seen any changes yet.

Same old bs. Significant changes will occur if our law enforcement do their job and have zero tolerance for fare evaders, loiterers, and other breaches. In Las Vegas, their transit buses have security taking pictures of those who sleep on the bus, and bus drivers won't give someone with no money a courtesy ride. Don't get me wrong, the RTC has some assaults and stuff, but at least they have security presence inside their buses to enforce the code of conduct.
Enforce fares. The crazies aren’t paying to get on transit. Problem solved.

Have everyone from METRO that doesn’t deal with the public on a daily basis, ride the bus and rail everyday for 2 weeks each month. Then things will possibly improve.
As someone who currently lives in the bay area and uses LA metro on business trips, the B and D lines are sketchier than BART. Saw people enjoying some coke at the entry to Pershing Square station couple weeks ago
I have not noticed a diffrence on the purple line and goldline in east la.
I hate security sometimes they would be picking on me while I was frequent paying rider

I used to ride the train for fun was fast and saved money.. but they only put it for a week that's all don't expect noting from metro.. be safe ppl

LA Metro response to emergency calls from station platforms is unprofessional and useless. Same goes for police presence on trains, if anything they initiate violence and/or intimidate paying riders while ignoring problematic non paying persons. This is not only a recent issue.

Less commuters on the metro (bus or subway) because it way too dangerous means more cars back on the roads and more traffic, longer commutes, quality of life just went down lower then before from spending more hours a year then before sitting in traffic wasting away! Everyone would rather text then drive which makes it even longer now to get home. You pay attention long enough you'll notice the difference, wait till this time next year! We'll see
