That's the beauty of Buddhism. You can practice Buddhism or things of it, without being distracted from your origin religion. You can be the best Muslim in the world and still practice meditation or anything else. Stay healthy!

I started today. I felt a peaceful feeling I never felt before. I got distracted sometimes. But a came back to the focusing again and again. Did it for 30 minutes and felt very calm.

I will be doing meditation this time. You are such a gentle, forgiving teacher. I am a sort of hyperactive person and easily distracted, hence, it is so frustrating for me to continue when I can't even get that 1,2,3,4 1,2,3,4 inhale exhale 😅 and just give up.
you can do it my friend! I too am very easily distracted as I have ADHD but I've been meditating for some years now! Sometimes it is pretty much impossible in bad brain days but overall I've been able to achieve a pretty consistent practice that also helps with the ADHD so all is not lost! I wish for you to have a successful journey! Much love! ❤

This is such simple and powerful advice. As somebody who meditates every day, there's an urge to "control" the meditation to get more out of it. Inner peace is more valuable than any cognitive benefit.

It is beautiful how simple this practice is. I can see my mind trying to complicate things, thinking: “it must be harder than this, I must be missing something, how can I maximize my chances at reaching a state of peace...” But by breathing for a moment, it is clear that peace is accessible by letting go of these very thoughts. For people that want to improve their focus/concentration, anxiety and brain fog.
Taking small steady breaths (without forcing or controlling) while focusing on your belly. When you breathe in, you say “in”, when you breathe out, you say “out”. KEEP focusing on your belly. If you start to notice your breathing, you say “up”, then you say “down” to focus on the belly.
The feeling should be very subtle so at first you can put your hand on your belly.
Your words resonated deeply with me. Feeling refreshed.
