  • I can honestly say I have never seen a single wide quite like this! Hey everyone, this is Chance with mobile home masters and we have another wonderful mobile home tour for you. Be sure to subscribe and like this video if you enjoy please!
This new home has several awesome features you don't want to miss! This is a 16x80 mobile home. The manufacturer for this home is Hamilton Homebuilders, the model for this home is the "Lansing." This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and 1,140 sq ft. Let me know what you think about the video! I hope you enjoy this mobile home walk through video.

We have been in the mobile home business for years, and thought why not upload videos about something we can relate to and deal with every day.
We have seen the mobile home business come such a long way. In the old days most people referred to mobile homes as a trailer house. However some of the manufactured homes we carry are far from “trailer houses.”
Be sure to subscribe to the channel and hit the notification bell so you will know when we post other videos like this.

Hey Chance, not sure if you know this but Palm Harbor has a single wide with a similar floor plan. The biggest differences are a recessed covered entryway, drywall throughout and it measures 17'6"x76' and is 1282 square feet. Maybe you can film that one some day soon.

I'm enjoying your channel. Until I was 12 years old, my family lived in a 7" X 38" Spartan mobile home, (five of us,) while my parents paid off their lot. (They eventually built a house there.) On the weekends, we sometimes went to the "open house" events held at a mobile home sales lot in a larger city nearby. It was great fun roaming through the display homes, eating hot dogs, drinking sodas, and commenting on what we liked and didn't like about each of the homes. They were mostly all single wides back then, in the late 50's and early 60's, but they were so much larger than the old Spartan, they seemed gigantic to us! Your video tours remind me of those open houses. Thanks for bringing back the pleasant memories...I think I'll go fix myself a hot dog!

WOW! The price on this is amazing. I really like this as well. I love the floors, the basic layout and that master bath is awesome! That tub with the shelf to put towels, wash clothes, extra's on is wonderful. Plus you have plenty of space around the tub to sit all of your bathing supplies! Plus you have a walk in shower with the sliding doors....Man, oh Man.. That's nice. It's small but it's nice. I have never seen a galley kitchen that I like, until now. The only things I would change, (which would greatly increase the price of the home), would be: 1. Change out the trailer paneling boards with dry wall and go maybe a shade darker with the paint color. 2. Replace the microwave for a nice stove hood. 3. Change out the black appliances with stainless steel ones and the stove for a glass top, self cleaning one. 4. Remove the beams. I do not like those wooden beams on the ceilings. Never have, never will. 5. Replace the shower head and bathtub faucets with hand helds to make cleaning easier. 6. Opt for tile in the walk in shower. It's easier to clean and looks better. 7. Get rid of the wire racks and opt for wooden ones. But that's it. I know that sounds like a lot but compared to other homes I've seen and would change much, much more, it's not a lot of changes. All the changes would make the home more like $80k o $90k but it would still be a great price for this home.

DAM8658 The three things that have always kept me away from apartment’s are (1) too many people around you (2) rent fees every month and if you have a plumbing problem or another issue some landlords take their sweet time correcting the issue and most importantly (3) if you’re next door neighbor or even your neighbors across the hall are careless and have a fire, chances are good that your place will go up in flames as well. If I were to buy one of these single wides or even a sectional, I’d definitely have to have my own spread to set it up on. Preferably at least one acre of land or more.🙂

NORTH WOODSMAN BY BOBOLINK That’s true too. One night while living in Florida in 1991, our building neighbors were college boys. We had two kids and were fast asleep. Suddenly we heard a noise, a door slam and someone whoopin’ and hollerin’. I flew out of bed, out my door only to see one of the boys making a lap in the parking lot because the Gators won their game! The way the building was configured, our bedroom was over their living room. He came back up and apologized. That was our last time in an apartment.

You would have to. The minute you bought it you would NEVER recoup the financial losses and would be trapped paying monthly lot fees.
Mobile homes do NOT appreciate EVER. They only depreciate. They can (except in unrealistically extreme situations some eccentric buyers might go to - that aren't worth the costs) NOT be classified as anything but "mobile homes."
They can never be proper houses with a return on investment BECAUSE they are not "built on a permanent foundation with all required permits and modern zoning requirements."
In other words.... Unless you buy a prefab (precut lumber, modular, shipping container - whatever) that you construct on a PROPER foundation -purpose designed, then you are literally just buying a travel trailer that NEVER goes anywhere. Much like a new car, a new mobile home will Immediately lose a substantial portion of its value the SECOND you take possession of it.

And I was told by the Brad Of Health since I'm not on lease. I couldn't put my rent in escrow because you have to lease to that.
So l set here with out proper heating and cooling. I also bought 2 small heaters for my apartment, one sets in the living room and the other one sets in the kitchen. This apartment is around 1,200 feet plus.
It has 2 bedrooms up stairs and a complete full bathroom. And down stairs there is a large living room medium plus dining area and a large kitchen, washer dryer area, a large bedroom with double closets and a big full bathroom and a large closet.

One, I don't care for the wall as you enter. Makes getting things like beds and couches in or our much more difficult, I'd rather see an actual island. In the bathroom counter tops, where they hang over the edge of the cabinet, why not round the corners while they're doing it. I'm a big guy, the corners always bang into me was I try to move around in such small spaces.
With what I know about how many mobiles are built, I find them all suspect. what is the flooring underneath that linoleum? Particle board so doesn't cut it for my humid climate. Sometimes the walls are only 2X2 studs and even the ceilings have only 2x2 studs holding up the roof. The electrical is always suspect. They have these rope wire things that the outlets just crush into with these spike deals to make connection in some, those are worthless. Why the hell are the outlets always near the floor where nobody can reach them easily? That's true of all homes.
How do I know all this? I worked for a guy that had a business that did repairs on mobiles. Mostly it was the floors needing replaced with good plywood where the particle board had gone away, but there were electrical, and wall repairs and roof repairs. In one older mobile, the roof rafters weren't even 2X2 they were 2X1. Not good. Plastic walls suck, they outgas and if they see much sun, they will get brittle and break or just deteriorate away. There are companies that build em right, but until you can see how they're built, how does one know? They're more likely to cut corners on the low end single wides than anywhere else in my experience.

No matter how it looks, it's cheap bullshit.
      I've owned a single wide & a double wide.
If you buy them brand new, expect them to fall apart after 15 years.
      They're Disposable.

@@RobertAllenroballen2 to a large extent, you are correct, tho 15 years is generous. However there are makers that build them pretty much like any traditional built home. Anyone truly interested in a quick build home should look into Modular buildings, not mobiles. Modular are fully up to spec for regular homes.

You are such a bright light, Chance! I was watching an older tour vid, must've been early on in the Plandemic, and you took a few minutes to wish everyone well and healthy, you cracked a dumb joke (never stop, lol) and I'm sure everyone felt loved and comforted. You are a rare jewel, please know that I keep you and your precious family in my prayers. God bless and keep these home tours comin'. And it IS pronounced "You-till-ty" just like you say it, of course I'm from Texas soooo.....
