It is better then mediocre probably, because the ai will probably still rate them at a level below clanrats. Thus you will mostly meet forces you can annihilate. Also the upkeep is pretty decent.
@@SleepyFen nah, zombies are a unit you might wanna actually purchase at some point. Beefier than skeletons, still free, great at protecting your lords as they spam wind of death.
Skavenslaves should never be actively purchased, just use menace and plauge priests to make temporary ones for you to bomb into oblivion.
@@SleepyFen a zombie doomstack is alot easier to pull off via ghorst + magic + the RoR dogs and a couple heroes to deal with artillery and lords. its essentially a better skele-spam

On the plus side of losing a million rats in the enemy's territory, the bodies will decay and breed more diseases which will eventually screw over the other guy. So its still a Skaven Victory

Let's consider what Okoii made of them :
- Probably lowest upkeep army (except for vampire counts)
- Kinda decent melee stats
- Greatest number of models per unit (if I'm not mistaken)
- Unbreakable
- Very fast for a melee infantry
Considering that it would be very convenient to stack multiples armies of this kind pretty early in the campaign, I'm starting to think this would be a way to crush the AI very easily.
the problem is the time and expense of 6 mutations on each unit...it takes a ton of save scuming to get 6 per unit and not have them be near useless.
@@bodhisfattva7462 I think that you can have them to be rather efficient without needing all the 6 mutations though
@@Casimir2811 ya you only need a couple for them to be efficient it then is just do you want to devote the resources on slaves instead of something more stout so you get more bang for your buck.

The sheer *numbers* of soldiers would be enough to scare nearly any army. Add on the fact that, apparently, all the rats scream the whole time.
If I saw that army approaching, I wouldn’t even think to desert, there’d be nowhere to run against such a horde.

100 leadership on a expendable meat shield is pretty nuts. Not sure how fast theyd route but i assume with a lord nearby you'd probably have to break leadership in order to get rid of them.

It saddened me to realize we would never get Space Skaven in 40K. But I took solace in the knowledge that it's only because the Imperium of Man is already functionally indistinguishable from the Skaventide.
This even goes for its various constituent parts as well. The Imperial Guard? Clan Verminous. Sisters of Battle and the Ecclesiarchy? Clan Pestilens. The Officio Assassinorum? Clan Eshin. The Adeptus Mechanicus? Clan Skrye. The Space Marines? Glorified rat-ogres straight from the pits of Clan Moulder.
It's a massive empire built on the ruthless exploitation of masses of people, crowded into massive hives. Sent forth by the power-mad council of leaders to destroy everything not like them, all for the glory of a distant, cruel deity.
For every-one-one of us that fall-die; a hundred will rise-murder!
