  • Just something i did quick as i have had a lot of people ask how to get out in shorebreak in the beginning. This is NOT meant for medium sized and above shorebreak unless you have a really good level. This is to assist a person wing foiling who wants to go out in some shorebreak to get to outside swell.
This how i have taught some people and tips i use. If your not sure, that tells you dont attempt it!

This is good advice. Just getting this gear from the parking lot to the beach is a challenge. I ventured into my local break with wing and foil and what a mess I had! Two leashes, wrapped around a large inflatable pool toy and a thick, stubby surfboard with big sharp blades attached to it. So many moving parts but it is pretty fun. Thanks

Cabarete. One of the best places for wing foiling.

I was on a Cabrinha code 72L and a 1200 front foil and , 180 rear and 5 meter mantis
Was early wind in Cab, so bigger set up
The camera is clamped on end of center strut. Then tied with a line or you will loose it :)

I don't have a handle on the bottom of my board should I turn my board around so that the foil is to the front of my board and means I can hold on to the mast?

What I would do is carry under your arm on the side making sure that the foil is downwind of you don't have it up in the front it's going to make it unbalanced that way when you start to walk in the water when it's under your armpit it will actually cause you to float as you go through the shore break it'll keep you buoyant so you won't lose control of it if that makes sense if not I can send you a picture
