I live down south, but my Dad's family is from up near Kalamazoo. Thanks for the extra motivation to make the long trip up there. Just need to get connected with some local pilots before I go.

Great content. You'll have to come back again next summer, The Mitten has lots more amazing places to see & Fly, but you definitely hit some of the best areas.
If you ever want to adventure up and over to Northern California, there is some amazing free flight here. Come fly hat creek rim!

these temperatures is what i have every day here. most time of the year. 40-45C° and 90% humidity. taking the bloody paramotor out of the trunk and assemble it is enough to be ready for half hour break because you are soaked from sweat.

We went to iron river,mi last year and it was beautiful,the weather was nice,yoopers were awesome but the mosquitoes were TERRIBLE! I swore I would never complain about our mosquito population here again🤣 awesome Vlog!

I took my boys to camp out and fly at Greenpoint twice for a week at a time. We never got the nice West winds required to soar these dunes either time. 8^( Regardless, the area around there is wonderful with lots to explore. They didn't charge us anything to camp out right behind the hang glider launch. There was an outdoor shower with hot water available only requesting donations for use. Talk about a low-cost flying location! Even if the weather fails to cooperate for flying, this is a great place to relax and unwind. Nearing retirement and considering moving nearby in Northen MI even if the winters are too damn cold. It is even cold in the summer sometimes when you wake up in the tent feeling cold and need to drive into town with the heater on to warm up. If you got a motor to bring you will get to fly and enjoy the scenery even if the wind never comes straight in from the West.
