Been there...............done that!
was sup Rip!
Hi Kyle. In Ireland we always use A and C control. As the wind is often very strong with bushes to snag. Even in the strongest of winds you can use the C or D lines to kill the glider if you are not happy with it. If you only have a few seconds and it goes wrong you can get dragged over the back. Love the videos. Frank
I do know that trick, but this ship stops at the B risers!😆
They are exactly the same. Fear, trepedation, doubt, and NAILED IT.
Just the video I need lol
Always interesting stuff thanks for putting these together
Kyle looks well rested after vaca, I'm sure well needed! I kept anticipating you having to run up the hill in that strong wind, which I didn't see. No thermal so you can fly all day? grt lil video wit a lot of info for the right guys here, so thank you again Sir! respectfully, esp the camera man! stay cool y'all. two speeds in that heat, slow & stop!
Having motored in MI, I had no idea there were dunes of that size up there. Wild stuff.
I only fly free flight for now, just started flying a phi maestro 2 light (it’s an amazing High-B glider) but eventually I’d like to get a motor, when I do I’d probably just start out flying my free flight A wing (UP Dena) until I decide what PPG wing i would want.
Paragliding sounds tempting. At least I wont be breaking as many props... Thanks for the vid Kyle!
That second launch looked like it was decent setup for a cobra launch!
I did a perfect cobra technique on my 1st flight. I was alone, so don't have a video of it.
Man, did you hire a camera crew? What great footage!
I'm in debt to the camera crew. 1 steak dinner, 1 ice cream cone, 1 spoon.
Kylo in his natural habitat 🤠
hey look another podcast for car arrived! ☺
he kyle, fastest abort on very high winds: grab B and yank the heck out of it? i feel when my wing is kiting above me and winds picking up that thing stays up whatever i try to pull.
Dune soaring = ground handling and mastering the cobra launch.
Looking to get into a paramotor and proper training. Some have said to pickup a used kiting wing to practice ground work. Do you think this a good move? If so what wing would you suggest? And do you have any for sale?
If you live in a place with good winds, it's not a terrible idea. But the caviat is how you use it. I've seen some terrible habits develop from self trainers. Take the same money, and buy some instruction is worth ten fold of an old beater wing.
@@kyleoglee kyle I enjoy your CZcams channel and your style if training. How much does your class cost? And you are in the the state of Louisiana correct?
@@aaronbell5743 Yes, Springhill Airport is our typical training location. $2k is current tuition/rental. Email is in the video description.
What's the best vario for beginners? Do you have a video on comparisons?
Xctracer is my favorite. There is no best. Some have options such as displays for airspace and such, but for a really simple vario, xctracer does it for me.
@@kyleoglee awesome, thank you for that.
lol why would you use a Zeno for coastal flying?
I use it for all my pg. Why would I not? Why would someone even ask this question? The Zeno is a magic carpet of which the likes I've never fondled.
@@kyleoglee Because it's designed for XC flying. And also you'll damage it on the dune.
@@turkeyphant I'll make a note of that. 😉
It looked like damn near quick sand, there. Lol
Sup Kent! I must agree.....
Bandit looks excited to fly… maybe a doggie harness?
Humans make me nervous enough.
Okay, all duly noted and good content!
Looks like 30 minutes of preflight, for 20 minutes of enjoyment!!!
To much like work!!!
Now, to be honest, I'd like to see a comparison of
PPG to PPC...
THAT'S WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND...
Free flying. It's like expensive caviar.
@@kyleoglee heard that!
