When my mom makes papaya salad we always eat it with rice and meat. It's like our version of kimchi. It's a very good side dish. 😄👌 The fish sauce is so over powering.

Hey Quang, how do you count food calories from restaurants? Any tips?
I appreciate your support always my friend!! This is always tricky. If you're tight with every number. I would say dont go out and eat. Haha. You will not get it to the T. Usually, If I order something and I am tracking. Lets say a Chicken Cesar Salad. You can look up the restaurant and hope to be lucky they have it all down on MFP (All restaurants are known to weigh and portion things out because of food cost) or just break it down as in. How much chicken, sauce, greens or any added cheese on it and rough estimate it by ounces on the chicken, Tablespoon with the sauce ( Get Sauce on the Side) and greens. I usually never track plain greens because its just like eating air to me. Haha I hope this helps my friend

QT please make the two types of Papaya salad: Thai Style (the one you had) with sweet flavor and roasted peanuts. The other one is Laos style with pickled(?) small crab Vlog. Another option or another Vlog on Laos/Isaan/Isarn dishes such as Papaya Salad, Grilled Chicken, Larb (choice of meat), Isarn Sausage, Crying Tiger, Beef Jerky don't forget the sticky rice! Those seemed more on the thai side. Lao tum mak hung has fermented crab in it and is normally darker because of how we make our pa deak( pronounced Pah Dak. like saying who dat but instead of a t sound its a k sound). something more laos is Larp(la-hb) which essentially a meat salad without any veggies. or pan pa which is a fish wrap, but its hard to find a restaurant that actually makes it laos style.
Hey Quang Ive got an idea you should do.. Do a week of food like, one week beef dish one week chicken week one week soup one week sandwiches and so on.. just one main ingredient for the rest of the week 😅💪🏻 make it a Weekly series brotha!
