He's a high energy, younger version of Fred/McTominay. Heck, his aerial ability even pales in comparison to McTominay's and he doesn't offer any attacking threat. Lacks progressive passing capabilities, and doesn't look good for a possession-based style of football.

He is one of the best in the world at the exact two metric u used to try to criticize him. I have compared him alongside the top CDM’s in Europe and he is top 2 on tackles and interceptions very high on ball retention and ground duels. He is a CDM he doesn’t need to be creative or score goals. He does get dribbled past abit too often though because he tries to recover the ball too high. He is not yet Rodri but his present attributes and the fact he is just 23 so a possibility to be better plus his price makes him the best available option out there. I say we pay up and sign him, he is definitely better than both Fred and mctominay combined as a CDM
