There are factors that led to Hal becoming a villain - - In a sense, Megamind and Minion did manipulate them by turning into "step ma & step pa", "Bernard", etc... - Getting rejected on several occasions by Roxanne. - Failed date with Roxanne. - Theft in banks for unknown reasons. - Megamind's refusal to join Hal on his endeavour for squandering his powers that Megamind offered him. - Megamind trying to goad Hal into fighting him so that he could be a hero, however it turned out to be the opposite. Similarities between Metro Man and Hal are both find being a superhero too much work and too much pressure. Both could not keep up this charade. @@julianfrazier6459 You DARE Challenge Megamind?!!
It's actually sort of Megamind's fault that Hal turned evil
Technically Hal has always been evil to his core. After all, Megamind only gave him powers and taught him how to use them. But what to do with those powers Hal decided himself.
I know I'm just saying that Megamind made a mistake choosing Hal to be the city's new hero
He never intended for Hal to have the powers. Metroman's powers ac cidentally got transferred to him once Megamind and Roxanne were fighting over that gun.
@@flamerodbarrel1311 Yeah. But he still could have taken them away from him before all this happened, but instead Megamind decided to leave them to him believing that fate had chosen the new hero.
@@lpallad1Hal was corrupted. He was never an evil person.
I thought she was really dumb just revealing herself to Hal without some backup plan or defense and thinking talking him down was going to work. Guy is a psycho with powers. What the frick she think was gonna happen? Getouttathare! XD
It was really stupid of her.
It was also stupid of her that she grabbed Megamind's gun in the first place without knowing what it was. She's also the reason Hal got powers.
How it should’ve been:
Tighten: “This is all your fault Roxanne, you could’ve accepted me as your boyfriend and love me instead of treating me like a loser. But nooo, you chose me to be a Supervillain.”
That's not what he said. Misandrist
Nobody cares, I just imagine that’s what he would’ve said to Roxanne
It's not her fault. He's free NOT to destroy the city. Noone's forcing him to take his frustration out on others.
@seanbotti5385 he didn't, and that's not what he meant. He opened is eyes to the fact that she never saw him as a person or really cared. Another example of how women treat men as disposable
@@Regenmacher175 ok misandrist
I wish this movie got a sequel if it did I wonder who the villain would be maybe an evil clone of Megamind named Midgetmind he dosnt think and he destroys everything and don't care and he is literally a maniac not like the real Megamind like we all know this one is 10x as evil as Megamind used to be
I think it could be two things, or we see a survivor from the planet of Megamind or Metroman who faces some villain and needs his help or in fact the survivor is a villain or Megamind facing other villains who in the past were his companions as in the video game.
@@lila709 Former villain companions is the sequel I want.

Hal turned evil because Roxanne broke his heart
There are factors that led to Hal becoming a villain -
- In a sense, Megamind and Minion did manipulate them by turning into "step ma & step pa", "Bernard", etc...
Differences between Metro Man and Hal are - Metro Man faked death thus abandoning the job as superhero and pursued career as a musician. Hal lived a lie because of Roxanne, leading to a terrible end.
Hal always had evil inside of him, it was finally exposed when he was given power.
@@TheLatiosnlatias02 Technically Metroman was a superhero for years before giving it all up. Instead Hal decided to become a villain after just one day.
@@TazHall Yeah. Megamind merely gave him powers and taught him how to use them. What to do with them was up to Hal. And technically Hal had already decided to become a villain after being rejected by Roxanne and before discovering the truth about Megamind's deceptions. So even if Megamind hadn't told him anything, Hal would still have been evil.
