Something subtle you missed is that he also spaces backwards after his e, so when he throws r it does full damage. If you do it directly on top of them it deals a lot less damage, so the spacing is actually really important
I just had to check the wiki for this. I never knew that Seju’s ult did more damage if thrown over 400 units. Wtf

3 Things to note:
1. Only real difficult matchups are Gwen, Fiora, Rumble
Olaf is a slightly difficult matchup for tank seju but AP Seju wins easy
2. 1 AP Item into fulltank is much easier to play teamfights out with. Once you get into 5v5 scenarios and if you have to play front to back hitting a tank all your AP wont mean much.
Going ROA-> Liandries or Liandries -> Rylais is only better in skirmishes and sidelanes or when playing vs many squishies, so that you can onecombo them
3. Ionians are bought so you can W into W without losing the E stacks

Used to play sej mid and I think dobby should've mentioned that R deals lesser damage and has no explosion if used from point-blank range so you will see the player backing off a little before using ult

Best League Tuber outside the Rift
In case some people don't know, since this might not seem obvious at first glance, the AoE zone damage of your ult cannot hit the same person you have stunned with the initial part. It might seem like a big burst of damage if you land both (and also easy to do due to the CC chain), but Riot have thought of that already and have prevented it.
Thank you so much for this video, I have been preaching about AP Sejuani for a long time. These OTPs have quite large build variations and i tried to break down when which is used/most effective.
Also ever since 14.10 First strike is a good rune into some matchups for huge acceleration of gold income

I used to play alot of sejuani ap back in the season3, when riot did the rework, i thought that ap sejuani was dead and never played again that build, im so surprised my old main build is still op, great video bro, blessings from Chile, the LAS Server

something about seeing this is refreshing, i don't play sej or top, but many if not the majority of people kind of play sej at face value without leaning too much into the champ/learning how to play optimally with her kit. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but it's nice to see picks like these being covered

I like how you describe the back-and-forth in laning as "turns".
Most high Elo players in too describe wave states as turns. Alois really likes this term. It makes sense, if you're slow pushing 2+ waves it's your turn to harass and trade. If you're frozen on its their turn to trade. It brings a lot of clarity and simplicity to it I feel
@@The_King_Basi I wasn't being sarcastic, it's really apt and it's exactly what it feels like. Despite it being a real time strategy where the people with the best reaction time are rewarded, once people are around the same level it becomes a true back and forth, like it's a card game, and a waste or a misuse of a turn is more often punished than not. Which lets smarter players gain an edge against mechanical monkeys like myself

tbh, many laning tips can be applied on ordinary tank sejuani top as well. Also, even for full tank builds, starting with dorans ring is worth trying, and I think it is better than dorans shield in many melee matchups.
I've been doing sejuani top since 3 patches ago, but this guy is smarter!

never knew you could proc the stun % max health damage twice, especially with the stun cooldown being a thing, the game doesn't tell you anything about that and it's a total 20% max health
@LolDobby Could we know a bit more about what's in Dobby's nest ?
rare known seju mechanic - you can use Q to animation cancel E in team fights, letting you stun 2 people and break both with W. if you tried stunning 2 and breaking with W normally one will timeout.
if you want to know the hidden gem of an item overlooked by all ap sejus atm, its warmogs. the %hp dmg on W buff and the warmogs buff combined make the item SSS tier 2nd or 3rd in non-support roles.
each ruby crystal gives more damage to W than an ap item.
if yuo want to try ap bloodsong seju supp, warmogs/liandrys/riftmaker/horizonfocus/sorc boots. u will scale into being able to proc E only with W, the main thing is you get +36% bonus damage on passive and keystone, i like grasp )

other roles only benefit from warmogs after laning phase is completely over.
support however benefits from warmogs the second its built, instead of thinking of it as a HP regen item, you're thinking of it as an EXP printing item, you d ont recall until you run out of mana.
so you get an EXP lead over enemy bot lane and then u can start bullying any squishy.
follow the damage combos in the video and you will basically oneshot alot of adcs using the auto+w+auto+e+backspace+R+Q
ruby crystals give more damage to sejuani early than amplyfying tome.

You forgot to mention that if possible, ult at 750 range from target at least, it deals more damage and makes the freezing aura around it

Not gonna lie I've been running this build for about a year in toplane as a pocket pick, and its so strong because people don't expect AP sej to deal 500+ damage with a single W lol

You can land w easier because sejuani have 2 cast w
And first cast proc rylai passive so enemy cant easily dodge her second cast with is her main damage source in that spell
And you can't use protobelt with her w animation
so what are the counters to this? vpn?

@@shivas01 against olaf you can rush phase rush and having those sej slows you can avoid close range fights againts him. idk about vayne
since this strategy is all about burst, boneplatting and early MR can help mitigate damage if you champion allows it. if you can take defensive summs can also help.

@@LoLDobby Ah I thought Camille's passive works based on what the majority of damage stats the opponent has instead. Did not know it was based on what type of damage was dealt on Camille on first contact. Thanks I learned something.
