Adderall is the most effective one I have found, but it's also the most... "explosive" when combined with CAFFEINE. no joke, I had to basically cut my coffee to nearly 0. Once I did that, it worked a lot better.. Mood more stable, sleeping better, etc. Also, I don't know if I'm just an outlier or what, but I'm on 40mg/day and I have never lost weight on this.. In fact I put on some nice muscle mass from working out... Also, the FDA label says 20mg/day is the target dose for adults. 40mg is the FDA "max" for ADHD... but I've seen people on ADHD forums talk about 60+mg/day (which seems insane to me, but we're all different I guess). Good video.
Edit: as a side-note but Adderall has been getting hard to find. For the past 4 months, my pharmacy has been on backorder. 😔 I hate calling them to ask whether they can fill my script!! It makes me worry every month that I won't have meds that I take daily!
dr. aly- i'm currently on generic ir and have tried brand name adderall both xr&ir, all of these work great for met, however, i get muscle aches/strains, ligament/tendon strains, and joint popping along with goofy nerve aches that migrates all over the body, this happens within 5minutes of intake and last throughout the day/night. any answers to this?
also, dr. wants me to switch to vyvanse, she said it is smoother. my intake of water is around 100 ounces per day. thanks.
You don't follow your hippocratic oath by suggesting anyone of your patients should take any amphetamine. You probably didn't even take the time to learn about what the drug does to people, I almost lost my life because of it and I know dozen others who also went through hell because of it. For example in 2012 alone 116K people were admitted to rehab due to Adderal addictions. Now I know every single canned response you will have for me "it's not like meth it's slow release...", "it doesn't effect people with adhd like it does normal people" "if you take as prescribed there are no addiction risks..." etc etc. All these canned responses are a complete joke, you guys are killing people or worse turning them into addicts with psychological issues they will never recover from. What's sad is ADHD can be managed without drugs (I achieved this feat and it's very effective, more effective than when I would take Aderrall) but you want the easy way out, giving meth to people :) and calling it completely different than meth (I suggest you try both and tell me if you feel any difference before peddling this crap). If you want I would love to debate you about this subject, it's time you guys stop killing people.
@@thecontrarianman. Don’t confuse your worldview as an absolute. Adderall worked wonders for me, I am a completely different person who is a much better version of myself when I take it. I remember things effortlessly while not repeating or asking things multiple times.

The biggest mystery of my life is if I have adhd or if I truly just don’t give a sh** about the things I should give a sh** about.

That's my problem too. I felt good when I took Adderall, was ready to get things done, and didn't feel all sluggish like I usually do. I think I might actually have ADHD.

I've recently restarted Adderall and been on it for a few months now. (I took it in high school and I'm 35 now). I'm tolerating it pretty well, and it's been very helpful. I'm on the immediate release, 10mg, 2x per day.

I take 20mg of IR Adderall twice a day during week days. The medication has been a life changer. My only complaint is that I am very tired on the weekends while not taking the medication.

@@jen_counihan I always have to explain to people why I can't do things on weekends but I have to make up some reason.
@@Jason-zr6om I totally relate!! I’ve decided to keep taking weekends off but if I have somewhere to be like this Super Bowl Sunday party I’m going to take it so I don’t fall asleep 😴 😅 I make ADhD videos as well if you want to check them out
@@jen_counihan I don't see the videos. I would stick to taking weekends off no matter what. Even one day of the weekend just one time will decrease the effectiveness of your benefit and then you have to take 7 days off just to get back to a regular tolerance level.

Have you ever had patients complain of sleepiness or lethargy at low doses? I experienced this up until 20mg of XR then it went away? I have yet to find any explanation as to why?

I’m tired on it if I don’t take enough. It feels like a took a bunch of Benadryl instead of a stimulant. So weird.
Hi, I have been taking concerta for the last eight months, I am on 36MG and it does not help with my ADHD symptoms, I am debating whether or not I should switch to Vyvanse or Adderall or go up on 54MG of Concerta, what should I do at this point? I also take trintellix and seroquel.

I switched from Adderall to Vyvanse recently, 15 days now on vyvannse and I'll be going back on Adderall. Vyvanse has turned me into a zombie.

When my doc prescribed me 10 mg a day she said one cup of caffeine a day particularly green tea n black tea
I can have a small amount of caffeine while taking adderall, but usually don’t because it makes me super jittery and hyperactive. Not so much if I drink it without adderall.
I'd like to know more about people who have adhd but have medication sensitivity and a normal dose strongly affects them. Are there people who take less than the normal dose? Anyone cut 5mg in quarters?

I cut my 10mg in half and take 5.
I was on 30 mg 3 times a day and it worked great but insurance had issues. Dexedrine was stronger for me and 60 mg per day was helpful for years.

wtf thats a lot 90 mg total per day for adhd? why my doctor gave me only 15 mg twice a day then i dont feel nothing dont fking know what to do

I take this medicine the only side affect I really have is a really painful erection for Hours but it helps me a lot.

30mg max? I need 60 min. I wish people could have my normal brain for a day then see me on stims. I function on drugs. Most Doctors don't get it. 30mg might get you through a work day but your high and dry by afternoon. That's BS.
