Russia vs Japan match, the most difficult matchup for the Russians!
Most Russian aircraft only have the speed advantage over the Japanese, and that's difficult and time consuming to use to your advantage when you're alone. However, when you have teammates who know what they are doing, speed becomes a powerful trait especially against the slow Japanese.
Yak9U is a great 4.3 BR fighter that often gets overlooked (including me). It has the essentially the same performance as the Yak9P which is a decent fighter at 5.0 BR, with only the armament that differs. It's a pretty good deal for the BR.
Yak9U is probably the best Russian aircraft to counter Japan at this tier due to its speed and climb and low and medium altitude.

5:54 JUST WATCH THAT.....that was nice
Hahaha and the rest wasn't?
Lol I would have shat my pants if I stalled out that close to an enemy. But that was awesome, perfect timing.
Nice to see my 2 most liked WT youtubers here.
Thanks for the video Adam, i was looking for a yak9U video time ago.
Cheers both of you.
I stopped playing soviets because 9/10 times they face japanese and unlike this video there is almost always 0% teamwork so we get rekt. This is epic though.
Yup I know the feeling.
Thanks!
Yeah I literally stopped just before getting the jets for the exact same reason
The other day I was playing vs bf109s and my killhungry team chased a dive bomber to the deck leaving me against 5 hungry and angry enemies at the start of the game...
Foehammer the problem isn’t just the team work: japanese teams are fully made by fighter, while half of soviet team is composed by useless il-2s.
10 Fighter vs 10 Fighter Russian s could just run and get the Energy advantage by running.
@@ferrarisuper being an IL 2 user that uses it as a heavy fighter let me tell you if an IL 2 gets to a high enough speed it can actually turn with some zeroes for a short amount of time especially the earlier ones so yeah I wouldn't call them completely useless
Just my 2 cents
My eyes was glue to the oil and water temperature.I was like "ADAM YOUR ENGINE GONNA BLOW ! STOP PUSHING IT!".
Hahaha don't worry about it! Russians need everything they can use against Japan.
This video makes ShVAKs look like the best cannons to exist. Meanwhile whenever I use em, they're a spark fest. Sometimes I fly my Yak-9T rather than my superior Yak-3 to get a cannon with some consistency. Great video though, makes me look forward to finishing up my research on it.
It's the 12.7 Russian gun that is doing all the work haha.
Thanks!
ahh nice the good old drag and bag. i miss those days
Where did they go?
me 1st came along lol
This kind of play, and teamplay, not VERY typical of what is going on in Soviet teams around this BR these days! :-) Japanese teams also seems to be good players in general, so usually it is a slaughter in their favour in my experience. 6 minutes into the game and I am the only one at altitude, that is pretty usual. Well done, as allways; both entertaining and educational. Love this plane by the way, nice to see it come to such good use.
Not very typical in any nation. Japan just has more fighters, and people who don't ground pound with those fighters haha.
Thanks!
teamwork? in MY warthunder?
what is this, sci fi movie?
The thing with turnfighters is : you don't really need to be a good player to be efficient, you "only" need to be good (take the good decisions etc.) when your enemy is a good pilot (in term of energy fighting) which is more rare.
The "skill level" is higher if you want to do good in a Bn'Z type of plane because you absolutely need discipline (+energy efficiency etc.) and a "good enough" wingman or team.
@@StealthySparky spitfires are turn fighters but you can't make them work without a decent team and playing like a moron
Zeros you kind of can :D
@@georgegeorge9361 No plane can work if you are outnumbered and your opponents know what they're doing.
Perfect planes don't exist. Your plane will always have strength and weaknesses (except if your plane is OP ^^).
Boom n' Zoomers can run away but they cannot win by running away so you just need to keep your energy up to stay a threat to them.
Turn-fighters are not the fastest and thus have difficulties to run away so you really need to be vigilant about that (like in any plane you need situational awareness). If you're in trouble you won't escape.
But It just means that you need to take the initiative and keep it, and that's not hard to do with "Spacefires" that climb like crazy (that Power/mass ratio). Also with markers you can easily choose your fights.
You can also easily have the energy advantage over other kind of planes from the start and, unlike you, you know they are harmless without that.
Of course it's always better to be in an aircraft that is faster than your opponent's but don't forget that in a turn-fighter defensive flying is easier.
What I meant is : if you're in a turn-fighter you don't need to have good knowledge of energy fighting to have decent results, because you can always count on your plane to survive (at least for some time). In a Boom n' Zoomer you will have a hard time if you don't have decent knowledge of energy fighting because one mistake and you're outright dead (your plane won't save you without speed). Also don't forget that you're not forbidden to play as a team in turn-fighters ^^
I often have carried my team at 1 vs 3 in Spitfires ... and it was because my opponents did not play as a team. With just that they would have won because I wouldn't have been able to take all of them at the same time. In a Boom n' Zoomer it would have been way worse because just doing 1vs1 would have needed a proper set up.
As you can see in this video, it's slow to start but when it gets going it's a snowball (and this was with Yaks which are pretty maneuverable).
However, if your opponent put pressure on you right from the beginning you cannot start anything without a good teammate.
Boom n' Zoomer really shine with teamwork because being faster they can more easily be at the right place at the right time (to help a teammate etc.).
My only issue with turn-fighters is that you need a pilot/crew with good G tolerance at high tier to be able to play (so if you're like me with a lvl 18 pilot good luck ^^).
If only American team fighters could bait this well, they can but the team work requirements are even more stringent due to the inferior agility and acceleration. And we know what American teams are like.
Good stuff.
Yeah any US turns is a death sentence against Japan, while some Russians turn as well as J2Ms.
Thanks!
You inverted the natural food chain of WT ecosystem...impressive!
I want to be that efficient at shooting with Yak 9U too! Right now only the guns prevent me from playing Yak 9U.
I'm happy that you finally flew yak9u.I was really surprised that YAK9U, 9P and 9UT have basically the same performace, while 9U is lighter and have 100 oct fuel upgrade. That makes YAK9U the best USSR fighter performance wise for it's Br.
I think you wrote La7 as La9 at 6:35 (EDIT: yup, i saw in comments, nevermind then). La9 climbs as good as YAK 9U at high alt, and is as fast or a bit faster depending on altitude, while LA7 climbs slower, and is slower at high alt compared to Yak 9U.
With hard work anything is possible!
Yeah, and Yak9UT is the worst for the BR lol.
Yeah I meant La7 there. It doesn't make sense to be talking about a 6.0 BR fighter and comparing it to the Yak9U (though they are comparable in performance ;) ).
@@AdamTheEnginerd but La-9 looks good and has 4*23mm and is a joy to fly most of the times
5:54, EXACT re-creation of the trailer
Haha but not the same planes though.
Yo adam, you were in the opposing team yesterday and I got embarassed as I said I would, love the content man keep up the good work
Haha thanks man!
Fly out the F4U-1A soon! I like to think of it as a Yak for more experienced players. The Yaks were great when I was starting out, since they were a jack-of-all-trades which could energy fight well and turnfight well. The F4U-1A is my new jack-of-all-trades: it can energy fight nicely, BnZ nicely, defensive fly well, and even turnfight pretty competitively if I use flaps, throttle, and energy correctly. The only plane that is difficult to face in it is a He 100 flown by an experienced pilot. 109's? Out-dive them or out-turn them. Yaks? Easily out-speed them. La's? Slowly out-speed them, but you can even stall-fight them at low altitude because your flaps are that awesome. Spitfires? Easily out-speed them at low altitude, or rope-a-dope them at high altitude. 190's? BnZ on them or turnfight them - anything works as long as they are not on your six. Zeros? Easily out-speed them. Chaikas? Out-speed them. Ki 43's? Out-speed them. Ki 44's? Out-speed them or stall fight them - their flaps are not great at all. Italian C-20_'s? Um, these are kind of hard but just use flaps and throttle. Typhoons? They're pretty fast but their roll rate locks up horribly so they're easy to reverse. Did I miss anything? The point is, if you go vertical with almost anything, you will lose more energy but your flaps will keep you floating for longer, which puts you firmly on their six with an altitude advantage.
Yeah F4U1A is a seal clubber for sure!
He100 is slower than F4U1A haha, and turns is probably similar. He100 has the climb advantage though.
Great stuff as usual. Went grinding up the Russian tree after they added the I-225 and always had the roughest match-ups against Japan. Nice to see them getting ganged up on in a dogfight. Good advice throughout and the switching gears to promote cooling was a neat trick. I'll have to put that in the playbook. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks mate!
You have a good eye for noticing the switching gear cooling ;). Switching gears is less efficient than reducing throttle/prop pitch, but it's faster especially when you cool in 3s anyway.
Another great video thanks for upload
My pleasure!
The dolphin dodge. I have no words.... Lol!
Lmao I saw someone say that and thought it was a pretty apt description.
First video I've seen from you, and it was fantasic! Really reminded me of Ramjb when he still uploaded
Thanks for the compliment!
No problem dude, your skills are insane. How many hours would you say you have in WT?
I've got over 100 days ;).
Kinda a good example why you don't want to fight people in a 2v1. One is gonna bait you and one shall slap you... very hard.
Yeah well I don't think anyone wants 1vs2s over 1vs1s haha.
only if they know what they are doing that is...
I look forward to your videos every Friday! Thanks for all your great content!
Thanks for the support man!
Adam514 no problem man! ;). Mig3 video next!! Haha
Haha I doubt it'll be the next one!
Adam can you have a video or something like a pic that has all of your controls? I’m having trouble setting prop pitch and all and would love to have your settings as a base and then change to my liking ;)
My MEC settings are not for the faint-hearted haha, they aren't ergonomical. I highly recommend setting it up on your own.
I'll do a video on my controls eventually though.
I have my MEC on my number pad. I haven't set up the multi engine controls though. Prop stuff is 1-4-7, oil is 5-8 with water 6-9 and auto radiator 2 with supercharger gears 3. Hopefully that will help in some way.
My MEC is all over the place haha.
@@AdamTheEnginerd thanks, we need a tutorial like that, about the settings
GG.
Can you cover more War Thunder physics? Maybe compare auto controls to MEC, or cover MEC performance for specific aircraft like how flaps, prop pitch and radiator impact performance of the aircraft. The last Physics related video was the MER and I'd love to see more.
Yes sir! I've got plans ;).

Haha shh!
Nah they crashed...

*Very honourabu*
5:46 is where the warthunder trailer got that idea from
Hahaha they traveled in time!
The Yak9U has to be one of the most ignored and slept on aircraft in War Thunder. I don’t think most people realize it has a VK107 at 4.3 when they bypass it because it’s another Yak9
Yeah it has similar performance to the Yak9P at 4.3.
Marvelous Gameplay !!
U are the Best Ace m8!
Haha thanks mate!
I tried the Yak-9U a while ago. It was much better than I thought! Damn, great baiting skills... you're like a cowboy herding the cattle hahaha It's so hard to fight against Japan :( but u did so well
Yeah I was surprised as well a few months ago!
Lol like the dog that herds sheep.
Yo adam nice video as always! Would u like to make a video on the spit mk 22?
Thanks!
It's on my list!
Hey Adam, the thing I struggle the most with in this game is accuracy in air battles. What sensitivity do you play with? Is there some sort of setting tweak that can help aiming become easier? I know that practice is the main thing, but I feel like I haven't gotten better over time. Thanks for the videos, they're awesome!
Unfortunately no, I use the default sensitivity. Try to predict what the enemy will do and maneuver accordingly.
What's your current opinion of the P-51H? I know you think it's difficult to micromanage the WEP and MEC, but aside from that do you think it's good at that BR?
Oh certainly, it has the best performance for a prop if it still has WEP left. And it's difficult to micromanage for the average person, I'm fine with it ;).
It can't go lower than 6.3, and I don't think it deserves 6.7. It's a good plane for 6.3 BR.
Nice! Is the Yak-9u as good as the Yak 9p? Been a while, but I though the 9u was too heavy and was at 4.0? 9p was a bit heavier than the 3p but they still were bias stronk! What is your favorite tier 4 Russian plane? I mean besides the BE-6! lol
I used to think the yaks were OP until I started seeing Japan with them and they easily get outturned and climbed usually, so in that perspective, no they aren't. Tough to manage that rip speed, combines with trigger discipline, no matter how good of a pilot you are, having to break off because no ammo is a terrible thing!
Well done!
It's better for the BR for sure. Russians do usually struggle vs Japan at that tier.
Better say YouThunder! Fantastic dogfight! I've seen changing frequently supercharger, does it really help a lot?
Thanks!
Supercharger is the least useful MEC setting. I use it to optimize power vs cooling. I'd probably leave it auto if I could and only use prop pitch and radiators.
i still prefer my la9 to be honest. the yak9u was never wrong but it is always tiered against japan or Germany, neither one will easily be out-climbed at that BR let alone be beaten. the higher tier stuff just seems to have more favorable BR to be put up against Murica or Germany (the yak9vk and i225 out-climb Germans in prop battles).
that being said, seeing teamwork like this in war thunder just looks awesome.
Yeah sorry I meant La7 if you're referring to the comparison between La7 and Yak9U vs Japan.
I225 doesn't outclimb Bf109s though.
Awesome because it's rare ;).
Ki 44 otsu premium review please ! Great videos
I don't have it yet though.
Thanks!
Those red temps make me nervous.
Hahaha don't worry I know what I'm doing!
Hi Adams.
With the last patchs. What kind of belt would you recomend me?
My logic says tracers for the 12.7s (apit apit murika fck yeah) and Universal for the 20mms as it "gives" me the most HEF (every 3 bullets) without be the Stealth belt.
Big cheers.
Keep with your nice vids.
Hmm nothing changed much with the last patches with regards to armament though. I'd recommend what is in the description of my videos usually. I avoid using Tracers though.
Can you try out the F-82 i often do well with it and im a PS4 player i can just imagine you going crazy with it
Yes sir!
Nice video. I loved that coordination.
How do you see the G56, is it better than the K4? Thank you.
Thanks!
Hmm it's a close call. G56 has the better turn, on par with Griffon Spitfires and better armament, while K4 has better speed and climb. I prefer flying the G56 though.

Haha indeed it is on the famous list.
Yeah should be good at 5.3.

It's on my list! Wyvern got a nerf, only does 633km/h at sea level instead of 650km/h.
@@AdamTheEnginerd which didn't change the sexiness of the plane so i still will be glad to see it flown out correctly by you
Can you do a video on how to use Manual Engine Controls?
Hmm I'll think about it. Every video I do I use MEC though.
@@AdamTheEnginerd thank you!
That was nasty
In a good way?
The Yak9U is such a nice plane, shame it has so little ammo and is in a tough BR range for non-axis teams
Armament is still sufficient to punish a few enemies.
I started flying the 9P and the guns, especially with the 23mm are much nicer, but it feels like the plane actually performs worse, though maybe that's partly due to fighting 5.7 and 6.0 props which manhandle it at medium altitudes.
Fire small guns when you're behind someone, and only use the cannon when you are really close (less than 300m) or need to take a snap shot. That way you still have the cannon available when you've BnZ'd a few planes with machine guns.
@@CountArtha I'm getting 3 kills with a single ammo load pretty regularly now. turns out the secret is just getting close to the enemies and not taking really difficult shots
another thing i realized about this plane: if you set prop pitch to 90%, you hardly lose any thrust but the engine is a lot cooler. 50% rads and 90% prop pitch and you can WEP nonstop and never overheat. bump it up to 100% prop pitch over 5000m since WEP isn't really useful at that alt anyway
Hey Adam, still waiting for the Fw190A video you promised. Is it coming out in the near future?
I don't have any footage for them unfortunately. Since Axis have been dominating I've avoided flying them.
You may want to do the same but using the i185 m71. However the latter often plays with ki84 and its too difficult.
It's on my list! Yeah Ki84s are tough in Russian aircraft lol.
Hey Adam, do you think the Yak-9U or the Yak3 perform better?
Yak3 has slightly better climb and turn, Yak9U is significantly faster. I'd go with Yak9U.
Video idea : Something to do with the Hawker Hunter maybe?
Ehh I'll keep it mind, but I'm not a jet expert.
Adam514 ah it’s fine cheers
does this plane have a supercharger that makes the plane still perform well at high altitude? All of the yaks that i use always seem to have such a weak engine when flying at higher altitudes
It's still a medium altitude fighter, but its performance is great for 4.3.
Hi, amazing video... Can you some Day do a tutorial to configure the manual control aircrsft? The total control. Of the plan, thanks!! (sorry for my bad english)
PD, you two guys are the gentlemans of the sky ;]
Thanks!
There are already tutorials on how to do it on CZcams that do a decent job though.
My experiences with this plane are very mix... By one side i feel it like a Yak-3 with larger wings and a bit worse roll rate... And by the other hand i feel that is very underrated as a fighter if his caliber
It's often overlooked indeed.
7:00 has 50 cannon rounds: "I have a decent amount of ammo" stupid god aim..... 🙄😅. Meanwhile I'm over here using my entire ammo load and not getting any hits.... I can't aim russian cannons for my life...
Gotta be patient!
Adam514 lol I am. I just haven't gotten gud 😅
It's all about getting close enough to make them count in my experience. A good plane to practice trigger discipline in is the 109 F1. If you can make 60 rounds with a faster cannon work for you, you can handle the small ammo loads on Russian planes EZ.
nanobug it's not really the fact that I don't have trigger discipline. I just can't aim the guns. I don't know how much to lead them. Even at like 300 meters I miss all my shots 😅😅 I don't even know how... they just feel so weird to shoot to me
@@FocusFrameMediaLLC That just comes with practice. Set up a bot match and just work on getting the lead right. You can even do it in an AB bot match if you turn the lead indicator off so that it's all faster paced and you can get more practice in less time.
God, I hate playing against Japan. I was the p47 when you were flying your i-185 just now, could've used you in the end as the last zero I was fighting got the drop on me. :(
Yeah an A7M came from the clouds to get me :(.
How do you manage the overheating on this thing? If I put the oil and air radiators to 100%, sure I'll delay it but the drag produced from that is immense, and it massively cuts the acceleration and top speed... It's a great fighter, but the overheating is a big issue and I really need help with it!
I switch supercharger gears at a big higher altitude, and reduce prop pitch to 90-95% and it's manageable.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Thanks! I'l try that out.
I got a small map and dropped 5 kills with this thing, easiest kills of my life too. 5th one was a premium ground pounding P-51 :)

Thank you and cheers!
I've done around half of those already on CZcams, and the rest are on my list!
I'm glad my videos are helping!
7:29 is it intended or mistake? whenever I get enemy with my wing man, I dive after wing man fully dived and "preparing" for zooming which is while enemy is doing evasion steering
In your video, you started attacking him after your wing man already zooming
I thought it was bit late, am I right? or you have your own plan that I didn't see?
I saw that he was still maneuvering, so I delayed my attack because I thought I wouldn't get a good angle.

Why don't more people fly the yak 9u? Yak 9t gets all the hype. I actually just spaded the la7 and really thought I'd be better with it haha the high alt performance kills me. But so do all the teams of zeros and 109s ive been facing lately.
I prefer the Yak9U myself. Russians will suffer until the Japanese spam dies down.
Is the 9U just quicker than the d5 or legitimately faster in a straight line and faster to accelerate? Also, what should I do to fight one in a D5 when it has the energy advantage?
Yup, at relevant altitudes. Retreat to teammates long before it's close enough to dive on you.
@@AdamTheEnginerd yeah, was late game, A6MX or A7MX was only fighter left, and he decided to chase a fast ME 264 fighter-bomber (luls since he dove into the late game furball and chased some fighters who were low on energy) all the way back to airfield while I spammed T-4-2 until my inevitable death. I did get some snap shots on overshoots, and tried to get him to break his wings on dives, but to no avail he'd pull out of the dives. Explains why I felt helpless. So if you stall later at 90 degrees which is your real stall speed? Need for a technical video?
For a proper stall speed test your plane should be horizontal. Basically you don't need lift and angle of attack when you're going straight vertical, so you won't stall (AoA exceeding stall AoA), so you'll only fall back down when you reach near 0 speed. Perhaps I'll do a video on it.
What are the major differences between the Yak9U and the Yak3, which one do you prefer?
Yak9U is better for the BR, faster and better climb.

Hi Adam can you play the Fw 190 A8 i don't know how to play Fw properly and im still dying without any kill :(
Fw190As are on my list! I did the NC900 which is the same as the A8.
default belt does that kind of damge? It's AP-I and FI so why not use either tracer or armored targets which gets more of either rounds.
Maybe both rounds are equally good, but just different.
@@AdamTheEnginerd I was pretty sure that the default belt was pretty weak due to the FI doing hardly any damage. AP was also pretty bad till they increased AP damage. The HEF seemed like the only good round but after they reduced the HEF rounds in Soviet belts I wasn't sure which belt to use anymore.
I generally take the stealth belt with the two HEF rounds but my aim with the ShVAKs was never very good and that just makes it even harder :/
Stealth seems to spark a lot. I have the most success with Default.
Hey Adam, what's your opinion on Spiral Climbing?
I personally like doing it in dogfights every now and then, maybe you could make a tutorial video on it showing its strengths and weaknesses while explaining how to do it correctly?
For me it's something basic everyone should know and yet many people don't know how to counter it or correctly do it themselves. (And maybe I'm also making a mistake without knowing it)
I'll think about it.
I personally use spiral climbing when I have the energy advantage to bait the enemy up so he slows down, preventing him from running away when he realizes he can't get the shot.
it's basically a rope a dope but this time you are more delicious for the enemy and he commits to turns while unaware of speed he is bleeding.
stop being soo good xD
Haha I refuse!

At what altitudes should I switch between the two supercharger gears?
3km or so IIRC. I switch in this game so you can base youraelf on that.
@AdamTheEnginerd
Ok thx, really like your videos btw, very helpful
@@enrisek610 My pleasure, and thanks!
Whats the supercharger gear and why i should set radiator to lower or higher percent?
A supercharger compresses the air before feeding it to the engine to increase the air density and hence the fuel that can be burned. In some aircraft there is more than 1 speed that the supercharger can spin it, those are called gears. At low altitude, gear 1 (lower supercharger speed) is more optimal, but as you climb eventually gear 2 becomes more optimal than gear 1 and you should switch.
Radiator should be open just high enough to prevent overheating of oil and engine/water, and should be closed to reduce drag when running or chasing someone.
Lol please do some video where u explain basic manual engine control
What do you mean by that? If you follow my MEC suggestions in the video/description, it's a good starting point.
Could you do a vid on the infamous mk24 griffon?
It's on my list!
@@AdamTheEnginerd awesome. That thing is a monster
Can you summarize the performance of the A7M
For A7M2?
-Great turn and MER
-Good climb
-Under average speed
Adam514 ok thx

Guess ill stick to p51h..
It should be easier now it got a br decrease now to 3.7 and can potentially face 2.7 Aircraft so yeah it would now be a bit easier to fight with
Russia vs Japan is really difficult solo, it's not a problem with you.
Yup BR decrease should be fun.
I usually play solo, i come from single player games, never were team player. I do bait a lot to help my teammates tho

What altitude should I change the supercharger gear?
3km or so IIRC.
What are the main differences between the yak 9u, 9p, 3u, 9ut?
Yak9U is the lightest Yak9 with similar engine power as the other 2, so better performance. 3U has the same engine as Yak9U but in a Yak3 airframe, so lighter and less draggy. 9UT is a bad deal for the BR.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Alright, thanks
Adam do you fly Simulator?
Not really.
Pls Adam I would like you to fly the p39 n 0 don't worry if you aren't that good on the 37mm cannon the majority of times it doesn't matter
P39 is on my list!
Thnx Adam!
that plane is amazing , i overlooked it for a long time then i got a talisman on it ; oooh boiiiii , it has the advantages of every US plane , max top speed , great dive , sturdy and to top it off it has a great climb at low alt and great acceleration as well , you can stall your self and accelerate back quickly like you were on a 109 lol , but it's kind of crap above 6000m .
i would argue it's better than the later p63s because of the 7.62 rounds which are useful at it's BR , you don't face many planes with armour and if you do the .50 cals or the 37 can finish em off .
@@rabbischlomobengoldbergstein I used p39n to farm 20 to 1 kill death ratio, so it's pretty good I confirm. No match for he100d tho
The first mistake these Japanese pilots made with A6M is to climb up high
Nah, Japanese are better off fighting Russians at high alt compared to low alt.
@@AdamTheEnginerd true that. They would be easy to kill @ low alt.

@@AdamTheEnginerd yes, hahaha. I asked about that because this was one of my first matches in Air RB after a break of Warthunder for half a year but remembered watching your vids a year ago.
You mentioned that the Yak-9U is the best Russian mid-tier fighter against Japanese planes, but what about the 9P and 9UT? The 9P has better armament than the 9U and the 9UT has both better armament and a better engine. Do you mean that the 9U is the best tier-for-tier?
Yeah for the BR. 9P faces Ki84s routinely and that's a different battle entirely.
Ehh... No i can tell by experience that the 9P is not really a match for the japanese fighters at BR and the Yak-9U, P and UT shares the same engine... But, the Yak-9U have the best because It have acces to 100 oct. Fuel and the other 2 is just the normal VK-107
9U and 9P have the same power and engine.
This are the same tactics for the all types of yak? Like 9ut for example
Yak9UT faces way different enemies, so no. Tier 3 Yaks yeah.
Yeah there is, and Russians used to fight Japan a lot.
Ty so much
Hi Adam I just wanted to know your opinion because I have been thinking about grinding this aircraft for a while I'm currently researching the yak 3p and I want to know is it worth the grind?
Yeah it's worth flying. It has better performance than the Yak3P in most aspects, but less cannons.
I'm talking about the 9-u not the 3p btw
@@AdamTheEnginerd ok good to know thanks I better get used to sparky cannons then
@@AdamTheEnginerd I am usually flying fw190s with their minengeschoß rounds so whenever I play Russia it feels like I'm using 7.7s
Yeah I'm saying Yak9U has better performance than the 3P.
German cannons are indeed better lol.
