Bread abuse. Slap this. Slap that. Great!! Simple and direct. No fooling around. Just like my Mom would do. Thanks for making this video.
Ok, I’ve tried many bread recipes but this one is now my #1 go to. As a widow, alone, don’t need a bunch of loaves. Thank you, you have done justice
Thank you for this small batch loaf vid. This Southern boy loves you Yankee girls' accents, humor, and creativity.
I bought a KitchrnAid mixer for my Yankee wife also. She had wanted one for decades and had been making 5-6 loaf batches since college.
Her first KA use was a 5 loaf batch and the extra dough was made into apricot desert. Yummy.
Thanks for your recipe and technique - as well as your general awesomeness! Some ppl get so hung up on details that it becomes overwhelming to beginners. You're just like, "Eff it, lets make some bread." I appreciate that in a youtuber!!
Who's watching this video during the pandemic??? ✋🏽✋🏽✋🏽
BTW, thank you, I've been looking for an all-purpose recipe because most use bread flour.
You can improve the gluten strength of AP flour by adding vital wheat gluten (2 or 3 tsp) and make bread flour. Vital wheat gluten is in the baking aisle near the flours in most groceries. More gluten strands developed during kneading traps larger gas holes in the bread and rises more.
@@joepangean6770 yeah, problem is I don't have *that* in my kitchen.
I am, Arlene. Can’t think of a more cozy way to get through a pandemic than to bake some bread.
I just got 5 LBs of bread flour and some yeast from Amazon
She's DEFINITELY a mom... "Clean up your mess" in such a mom-ish tone xD (I've heard it SO MANY TIMES). Thanks for the tutorial! Mines finishing it's first rise now and it's looking great!
Yup, I clean up as I go!
That’s straight up GOLD folks, and leaving your towel will result in forfeiture...mine now!
This bread was a HUGE success today! I wish I could post a picture. Thank you SO much for posting this
Hahahaha! I LOVE it! You cook and clean the way I do. By the time it hits the oven, 95% of my clean up is DONE! 💜💜💜
Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Apparently My mouth didn't want to agree with my brain..lol But yes it is 2 1/4th tsp of yeast. Thank you stay well.
Yeah, I saw on the table but heard what you said. Thanks for the correction!
As I've watched dozens of vids on the kitchenaid mixers, and bread. Trying to figure out if she would not burn out a smaller model, we are a family of 4, so smaller would be better, but I myself am a fan of over building, and have seen a 6 at pro teardown video, and I trust what I saw. Especially since my wife is like me, hard on everything, even though the directions say elsewise, usually for convince purposes.
Thanks for the very enjoyable real world content, not the made by Mrs. Jones/barbie mom infomercial.
New Kitchenaid owner here - thanks for the excellent lesson!
I just made this. I'm making meatloaf and thought it would be great for a giant meatloaf sandwich cut into single servings. I changed my mind it's going to be a cheesy garlic bread. Smells amazing thank you.
Thank you SO much for this WONDERFUL video! I just received a Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas and kind of have that “deer in the headlights” feeling. Lol. Your video was so helpful to me! I’ll be making bread this weekend, thanks to your helpful instructions! Really appreciate your friendly, helpful instructions! 💗
Thank you! My dough is rising right now! Can't wait to bake it and have a chunk with butter and a cup of coffee! ✌🏼️❤️
Used this video as a guide to making some on my pellet grill, and it turned out amazing!
Thank you! For some reason KitchenAid doesn’t have the original bread recipes I used to use. This is great! Will try it with half whole wheat and half AP flour or if I get snazzy, Bread flour for a higher rise. I also used to use brown sugar with the whole wheat. I would add the brown sugar to the yeast water with a pinch of dried ginger, makes the yeast go crazy and no, you don’t taste the ginger.
THANK YOU! This will make life easier. Stay safe!
Omg thank you for this video! This is exactly what i need! Writing on the table, mixing and all!
Thank you for making bread making easy. I made it today and it turned out great. I used coconut milk!! Delicious.
Fantastic slow paced video that i can actually follow! Thanks so much. You made this look so easy. I'll be trying it today with my new mixer. Previously I couldn't get bread to turn out quite right. I feel like I can do this.
Your accent is delightful. "The soul of America". East coast anyway.
Just used this to make my first loaf of bread ever, with my kitchenaid I recently got. Thanks for the recipe and the funny offhand comments! 😂
You are so nice to show this and I’m excited to give it a try. I ordered a Kitchenaid mixer so I can make bread. And was so hopeful when I search for a how 2 on CZcams and you pop up. Perfect and easy to follow and understand. THANKS AGAIN.
Love this recipe in simple terms. My bread is rising and I can’t wait to pop it in the oven. Thanks for posting.
I’m making this tonight! I’m already at the resting stage! So far so good!
3yrs ago you made this recipe and I tried, loved it! Like current day lol. Easiest and the best and I've tried quite a few. Thank you and God Bless
This is the best tutorial so far! I loved the tone . I'll definitely try the bread with your instructions.
Thank you! You made it look so easy. I’m going to give it a try now!
Omg I adore you and your commentary!
This is the BEST tasting Bread and you really did display the Recipe to be easy understood! I broke my new mixer out of the box and and looked up a recipe and came across yours ! By dinner time we had fresh bread! It’s perfect! Thank you for doing this
I needed these instructions.. now off to make a loaf!
straight and to the point!!! love it!!!!
Love the accent, love the humor, love the education. What's not to love😘
Finally, a bread recipe I can handle. My dough hook came with a sticker on it to not run the mixer over speed 2 with the dough hook.
Yes...mine came with the same sticker.
Loving it.
Bread TONIGHT!!!
I made this and it was delicious! I made a round loaf with a tic tack toe pattern and it turned out beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for mentioning the speeds you used for making the bread. Cheers! Stay safe and healthy!
Thanks for the recipe! My son loves it!
On my TO DO list 😋 I have that same salt and pepper shaker 😋 been making my own bread since the pandemic started and I’m getting pretty good at it, thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe for us to try.
LOL! When you wrote that your "accent was sounding pretty thick" I thought it was going to be South American or Irish or Egyptian or whatever. But no, it sounds like where I came from! You speak perfectly, I don't know what accent you mean and this is a very nice and large loaf bread recipe. Thanks for the smile.
Thank you I wanted to used my bread machine but I have to find my paddle. So i decided to used my kitchen aid mixer. I did used to make it by hand but I work everyday I don't have time to do kneading by hand lol.. Great video! 👍👍👍
Great video! Can't wait to try it with my Kitchenaid. Thanks for sharing!
Made this today. Turned out awesome! Thanks. Very easy. 👍😊
Its in the oven! Looks good, anxious to taste it. Thanks
Excellent video. I like the ease of your techniques and recipe. Thank you so much.
I LOVE this video. The step-by-step instruction was great. It looks so simple... tytyty.
Love your relaxed approach to a perfect ending.
Thank you, this is easy to make and everybody in my family loved it.
🇨🇦 I like this video, clear precise instructions and the lady shows us each step as she goes along. I will try this one.
I like using the paddle attachment for the initial mixing.
I just made this today..wow it tastes SOOOO good. My first loaf.. fantastic. Had to Google what a half stick of butter is !
Really great and easy to follow! It came out really nice...thanks!
thanks so much for posting this video, just found it, June 2021. My bread machine quit and I wanted to try making fresh bread with my kitchenaid artisan :)
My bread is rising (I hope) 😳 as I am posting this. Great instructions and thought you were fun! Thanks!
Thank you so easy to follow, great instructions
I made this bread it’s sooo good 🤤🥰 thank you I liked this video!
I let the dough hook mix my dry ingredients for a few minutes and then pour in the wet ingredients and let them mix them in, too, before I turn the mixer up and let it beat it for a few minutes. Then, I dump it out on a bread board and knead it a little bit before I dump it in my proofing container for its first two rises. After an hour I dump it out, form it into a loaf and let it rise for an hour before baking. Nothing complex or difficult. I learned my bread making in a Breadman and making it in a Kitchen Aid is much easier and faster. It still takes about three hours but it is a lot easier.
Nice and easy - I'm thinking Boston or Waltham - but I could be wrong with that accent - but we all LOVE accents - it's what makes America that thang - as for the shot glasses - says a lot LOL
I feel like I definitely want the uncensored version of this video! I love you...you sound like family!!! :-D
Every other word out of my mouth is usually the F word...I'd have to put warnings on all my video's to monetize...lol
Make this twice a week! It's tasty!
Looks so easy, I will try this. Thanks
I have watched hours of bread videos and your instructions were so simple and straightforward that I tried your recipe and it came out so perfect and this was my first time making bread. I subscribed to your channel. Thank you for this video.
Thx Sue! Love this recipe ❤. I deal with anxiety and panic attacks so I’m also homebound. Living in Vegas that’s hard to do since there’s so much to do here. Also had the same surgery as you 😮. C3-7 back in May 2021. We have a lot in common.
Very helpful and informative. Looks great. Thank you.
I thought your video very comprehensive, start to finish. I love the single loaf. Everything was simple and easy to follow. I’ve got my first loaf working on the first raise. I’m sure all will turn out great. Thanks so much for putting this together!
Love the recipe! Love the accent! Gotta go I got fresh bread and I ain’t afraid to eat it!
fenomenal, muchas gracias desde españa
Thanks. I just got the smaller Kitchenaid and gave it a try with a favorite recipe of ours, chocolate granola wheat bread.
I was told to do the whole thing on speed one and it took almost as long as to do it by hand. The hook never picked up the dough. The dough pretty much stayed on the side of the bowl, so I kept pushing it in with a spatula.
Its a dense two loaf recipe so I was wondering if it was too heavy for the mixer.
At any rate the bread turned out fine. But your video has given me some ideas to try out next time.
Been looking for a fluffy bread recipe. All the ones I've tried have all been too dense for my tastes. Thanks for giving me another promising one to try. It really did look good. Been searching high and low for a fluffy french bread recipe but they, too, have all been too dense.
I just got a Kitchen Aid and this was helpful! I love your accent! It made nostalgic for my homeland...
What is the price pls
@@dilsheehensel2513 They run about $3-400. They are selling out fast these days, unfortunately, but definitely a worthwhile machine.
Thank you.. from England.
Your fabulous!
How your stove top glass is super clean and shiny.
Love this recipe and your accent lol thank you
Best result I have had to date. thank you. (Jersey? Philly?)
Make sure ambient temperature is at least 72 degrees. Yeast inside dough not like cold cold temperature. I will follow your recipe but I have to use bottled water since my tap is not good for drinking. Also I will leave yeast longer in the water. I want to see if that helps.
This is a great easy and delicious recipe!! First time making bread and it was a huge success!! I was wondering for next time if this could be baked in a loaf pan?
Im trying this now
Thanks for sharing.
i enjoyed watching you. guess I'll have to get a kitchenaid.
Thanks for this video. I’m sure your daughter will love it. I’d love to see you do it by hand. You said you usually would?
New subscriber and ❤️the receipe
This is perfect. I prefer not to use loaf a pan and it's a single loaf. I plan on trying this today. I would really like to use bread flour. Anyone know approximately how much more additional water should be used?
I love how she is using Alexa as a timer, that is mainly what i use it for.
lol, isn't that what's she for?
SUPER JOB! Thank You for the great vid...
Thank you sweet lady 😊
I hear Boston!
Is there a pdf for this recipe. And what other recipes are there.
I just got my Kitchenaid mixer! Gonna make a cake tomorrow...and maybe a loaf of bread as well!
So far I've NOT been successful making bread. After baking, it's still wet and heavy, i can't figure out what im doing wrong.
I use the bosch small batch for basic white bread.
My new bosch compact stand mixer arrived yesterday but from time to time over many years when ever i tried making bread it always comes out the same heavy, wet, not eattable. I had the artisian KA and the original Cuisinart with timer now the bosch compact stand mixer.
I thought it was going to work yesterday because I saw it pull away from the sides of the bowl, i let it knead 5 mins on speed 1 or 2, it made a nice a ball and it had some stretch but i dont think enough.
I split it into 2 loaves, rised it twice in warm spot, first time upwards to 1 hr and second rise about 45 mins.
But it didn't rise as much as ive seen on other vids.
It baked about 35 mins on 405F and looked and smelled gorgeous but not nice inside due to being wet. No big air pockets.
Should I be kneading longer, should i add more flour? It's not gooy but i do feel a little sticky
Can I make hoagie rolls with the dough? How many rolls do you think it would make? Excellent recipe and video!
I love your video, and I have done this a few times...but it has never risen as high as yours..it's delicious but not as high as yours...do you know what I am doing wrong? (I add garlic powder, and one time I used whole wheat flour) could this be the reason why it doesn't rise as high? Thank you
Hi, could you tell me where your daughter got those blue towels, I love them.
Hi Karol, It's been a while, But she thinks she got that one at Kohl's
I love this recipe;
Would I be able to use this recipe for my Pullman pan ?
I would also like to add Instant Potato flakes, Is aw one recipe and it was fantastic.
What do you think ?
Thank you for the video..
My mixer kept bouncing at the last stage. Is that normal? It was thud once in a while.
I used bread flour instead of all purpose and the dough ball was way stickier I don’t know if this is the reason also my bread never comes out as big as your loaf it always stays skinny and doesn’t proof well. Any ideas?
Have you used the KA to make whole wheat or sourdough?
I'm so excited to try this recipe with your instructions, you make it seem so much more doable than many of these other CZcams videos do! Quick question: Does it have to be whole milk? Can you use 2%? Thank you!
I don't see a problem using 2%, If I had it on hand I would use it. little tip, depending on the humidity in your home, you may need to ad more or less. You don't want too dry of a dough.
@@highroller777 thank you!!! I grabbed whole milk just in case and it turned out perfect ❤️
I’m a new KitchenAid Stand Mixer owner and have a Tilt Head but it has 300 watts of power. Will my Tilt Head handle it or do I need a Bowl Lift?
