OMG 🐶, as a former Control Data Institute grad, that is the most detailed, thorough, educational troubleshooting circuit diagnosis I've ever seen - even better than my instructors back in the day! I can't see anything that you didn't do in your troubleshooting techniques. For you having both mechanical & electrical backgrounds you're an invaluable resource - exquisite training/teaching skills! Hopefully others gained comprehension on how a full circuit works to supply voltage ⚡ & direct current (DC) to their respective devices to make them operate!!
I appreciate the comment, thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Grateful for you and all you do to help us!!!
Thanks, same to you!
Absolutely love the video
Best explanation I’ve ever seen. Thank you
Love your channel
Thanks for your excellent video,
Same issue on my 2008 honda civic right rear window
This is a fantastic explanation of the diagrams and thought-process, thanks!
Thanks 👍!
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to explain.
Good work
Dave you did an awesome job breaking it down stop by step. Great informative video! Hope you're having a great Thanksgiving!
Thanks 👍!
Appreciate the content and great approach and thought process thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the comment 👍!
thanks a lot, sensei.
Hi, you can swap the switch with other window for quick diagnostic. The switches all the same except the master switch
Great video Bog Dog. I have a question. While doing the second series of the switch test on the white wire(press up and down) I did not get a voltage drop. Is that an indication of a bad switch?
Happy thanksgiving to you and everyone
Same to you!
I am having a similar problem with an 06 coupe in that after replacing the regulator, the switch is not winding the window up or down, but putting direct current to it will run the regulator, what would you suggest?
Impressive diag. I got a feeling it’s the regulator, we’ll see
Thanks 👍!
Really thanks! My problem is that only the piloto window works, you said that probably the problem is that the main switch on the right of the diagram going to ground is not working 5:37 . Where can I find It phisically on the car? And how can I fix it?
What would fault be if front passenger window works on passenger door switch but not at drivers door switch . Had key on for while and drained battery . Then after had this problem . Does it just need reset ?
Dave I have a question that I hope you can answer for me. I have a 2004 Ford F150 that has a driver side window that won't go up or down. When I tested all my switches all test good in the up a down position except the driver's switch. I'm puzzled because I saw somewhere on CZcams that said those with the automatic down switch has weird circuitry but he didn't explain that part. Anyway the up circuit works as it should showing power on the up button but the down wire only shows power on the up as well and not on the down. Of course I was hoping I had a bad switch versus a bad motor/regulator, but I was wondering if that particular switch had any kinda power feed from elsewhere when I hit down to complete the circuit. That didn't make sense to me but having power on up on both sides made me wonder if there's some short to power. I took the door panel off and gave those wire direct current bypassing the switch and still nothing I only hear a click. Any thoughts?
What would be the case if all the windows suddently stoped working ? All fuses/ relays are OK
my window makes a sound when i try to open it but it doesn’t open. i previously had water in the door from the rain and i drained it. i’m not sure how to fix it because it won’t open after that happened
Hi ! I am writing to you from KSA
I have 1999 Honda civic, i cleaned it from inside by water after that I have a lot of electrical problems . One of them is the radio .
It's not start normally when you open the switch until you switch on the dash lights.
Can you help me to fix this problem.
I have a diploma in electronics but i don't know the circuit diagram for this car and i hope you to help me !
@Big Dog50001 can i have a link to this diagram pls
It's common failure with 8th gen Civic's. I've troubleshooted my Civic with that issue and also find out it's window regulator motor problem. After disassembling gearbox and motor everything whose looking fine and motor started working again. So I've assembled everything back again and power windows worked... for few days and stopped working again. As long window is closed it's not bothering me that much.
I had a similar thing happen to me on an accord. Replaced regulator, worked for a while, then stopped working. Turned out the connector to the regulater was "crusty". Deoxed and cleaned that. Been working fine since.
It's a common failure item on many Honda models. Thanks for the comment!
Where to search, if BOTH rear windows don't work, while the passanger window DO work?
Since passanger window DO work, the problem is not in the "master" switch...
purple wire is not working my window only goes to one direction
😴
