Honda A/C Not Cooling and Engine Idle Fluctuations Troubleshooting
Thank you so much
Dude that was AWESOME you are a true craftsman. Thank You.
The main clamp on my air filter is basically off although it still sits in place. Its a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.9. sometimes when idling it will run real real quiet or sometimes when leaving a stop sign or getting up to speed it will have trouble and even jump or stutter. Does this have anything to do with the clamp not totally tightened down. Im going to tighten it down either way but im curious if this is the direct problem
Outstanding instructional vid. 😂😊😊😊😊
I will be trying this on my 06 Honda civic
Top job thanks
I noticed yours has a switch on the right side instead of a push button (like the first wave of these had). Why was it changed? Does it work any differently?
The g automotive 2004 Honda Accord ac not working, said the condenser and the receiver drier getting clogged is another cause. I hope the big dog does a video on that for those that still have a problem with the ac.
Awesome job
If the owners responsibility
For that you will have a loyal customer
Is the Civic similar?
I ❤my 2009 accord EX-L 2.4! I do all the maintenance and it’s straight forward.
Great job on explaining simply and covering everything, the shops hate you but we DIY people are very grateful! I'm sure you've helped atleast 100k of the 5 million that watched this if not more! God bless brother 😇
2008 Honda accord. Last night I’m in my car. Alarm started going off and red light blinking I believe security light. I don’t know what I did. Also key fob does not work in general probably battery ran out
After installing front and rear complete strut, car still rides a little rough. It doesn't feel smooth, feels like it hit the ground hard especially when going through bumps and pot holes. What would you suggest next?
Great video. Very informative ! Were you a previous Honda dealer tech ? Thank you
What would happen to the car if you don't torque it to its specification?
Thank you for the video. Do you know if this process applies for a 2012 accord 3.5l V6 coupe? Thx
Very informative video. Need some help here please. I just got a 2012 accord 3.5L V6 coupe with 66k miles. Do you know if your procedure applies tor the 2012 model? Sucks but there are not many videos about the 3.5 engine. Thanks for any help
Tried this for my 2006 Civic remote and it didn't work. Tried programming with both the lock and unlock buttons. Any ideas?
I just jammed a penny into the slot on mine. It's super ghetto, but it only cost 1 cent to fix. Super annoying how this is such a common failure point on these Civics, along with the rear door actuator, and AC compressor.
I did 33 ft lbs. on my 2013 Elantra and it had a slow leak. your thoughts?
08 scion tc. New master c. Press down 3 times and it’s normal (gets stiff) but when cars on pedal goes to floor..help!?
Did I miss something, surely he did a startup so people could her the sound?
Fabulous stuff, thank you.
Thanks i had the same problem it was low on freeon now its working fine!
Thanks for that thorough information, it was very helpful and understandable to a woman who knows very little about the AC issues, this is the problem I’m having and I’m gonna go to Autozone and get some and let my son fix it ASAP. Thank you 😊
Very easy way I highly recommend it
Hey BigDog, fantastic video!! I learned a ton. I am currently chasing an issue around my 08 RX350. I have no idea if you're still monitoring there comments, so this may be flying to no one, but I want to ask a quick question. At the 16:50 mark, you test the negative ground loss. Putting one lead on the neg terminal on the battery and one to the alternator casing. You show very minimal difference. When I do that, I'm showing a -10ish number. It bounces around. But I am definitely seeing some voltage loss, doing this check. When I check the same connection with my ohm setting, checking for continuity. I'm reading 0.0, so I feel like that connection is solid. Wondering if this voltage loss could be due to a failed alternator. I can't get the alternator out because I do not have the tools to get that bottom bolt off (those that have done the job, know how tight that one is). So, I'm just trying to isolate it the best I can. Any advice would be appreciated, I certainly won't take your word as gospel and claim "well BigDog said this" I just feel you're very knowledgeable and would respect any input. Thanks.
Thank you Big Dog
Is that T20 Socket?
As for an instructional/ do it your self video, this one is excellent! It leaves no questions unanswered.
Great video just about to order my parts. Question I was going to order ACDELCO instead of CENTRIC. Any reason why you selected CENTRIC?
Thank You SO MUCH for Teaching. We dont get access to TMs easily, any more 🙏🚂🎼🌹🎵🎶🛠~C< 3)>>-Z->}
I really appreciate this video. I just did this job on my wife’s 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5s coupe!
I am having the same problem right now I put in a new oxygen sensor
This is great video man. Mine is doing the exact same thing as this. I changed the ac relay and fuse but nothing changed. At first when I run on the car on the highway AC runs great but as soon as come to a stop or crank up the AC speed it starts fluctuating and then starts blowing warm air. Going to change that blend door. Should I have it vacuumed and recharged too? TIA
Thanks a lot for your very helpful and well explained video!!!!! I’m replacing both radiator hoses in my 2004 Honda car-v. Greetings from phoenix Arizona!!!
Your video gave me the confidence to go ahead and recharge the coolant system on my 2002 Honda Accord EX (4-cylinder VTEC engine). Interestingly enough, after completing the recharge, my hi/low gauges showed almost the exact same settings you had when you finished. I had never done this before and I'm quite happy with the outcome. My car's air conditioning is now working well. I'm planning to watch some more of your videos. Other CZcamsrs would do well to emulate your style. You do a great job. Thanks! - Richie
Would this work for a 2013 honda civic remote?
Have a question @BigDog50001 you once did some repairs on the door connector on a 99'Honda Civic Lx...do you have access to the floor harness diagram and the color of the wires that coordinate with the driver's side door harness...(Basically which wires go where color wise) So I can bypass the door connector and makes my own setup? Thanks in advance.

Im confused. Can someone help me? My fan switch will come on after i jump it when idling and getting to 207 degrees. Soon as i drive it the temperature will keep rising and the fan wont turn on? I will overheat. I also notice when i turn on tye a/c only the condensor fan turn on. I just tryed to get the fan to kick on at idle and it didnt. Its acting weird. Any info is much appreciated.
