Macho's response was pure gold
RIP sherry, macho, Liz, sapphire and dusty.....
@Jack Spade\It's a shame the list is that long!
@@pulsarstargrave256 yes it is.
Worst part is that drugs killed 2 of the 4 of them. Such a waste of talent.
Everything dies. Fact of life.
😔😔😔
I had no idea Pat Patterson was the voice of Super Mario 🤣🤣
Thought the same thing. May be Prichard's accident turns French Canadian into Italian or Italian plumber.
😂😂😂😂😂
He's not. Mario was created in Japan and Pat isn't even from there. You might want to actually research stuff before spreading lies. Also, Mario has nothing to do eith with wrestling
@@ToxicAvengerCleanYourMind ooooooh Nintendo fan boy triggered 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@yereldda4666 I like Nintendo, yeah. I like Sony Playstation too, though. Im pretty sure the person was joking now after I wrote that and I wasn't triggered. I was just saying that Mario isn't from here, he was created in Japan so Patterson couldn't do the voices for Nintendo. They didnt do celebrity voices in games like they do now
I loved this feud as a kid. Dusty and Macho could quite possibly he the most charismatic guys in the history of the business.
thalrg22 macho, easily, hands down, almost everyone imitates him. Dusty is the guy that pisses you off because he's the type that would be on the dance floor in cowboy boots and polkadots dancing with the finest ladies while you're in a 5k suit and every woman shoots you down, and runs near Dusty while you have the boo boo face.
@@kendallfleming5858 Bingo.
I liked dusty and Ted dibiasi . The rich guy vs the commoner. And he lured saphire away from dusty with gifts and jewlery .
Savage was such a boss 😂😂🤣🤣
His Randy and Dusty impersonations are spot on! Funny story!!
only dusty
It's sad to think Randy,Sherri,Dusty, Sapphire & Liz are all dead.
I would love to see these mixed tag matches that they all were in.
So so sad.
Love Bruce Prichards impersonations, he's the best.
His Dusty is uncanny. It sounds exactly like him.
Macho Man impersonation is the absolute best
no it isnt
The dusty impression Is beyond golden
LOL this story had me dying, loved it, great voices and storytelling Bruce
I like the impressions. I usually hate impressions but Bruce does a very good Dusty and Savage impersonation.
You should listen to The Lapsed Fan podcast. The Boss absolutely kicks Bruce's ass with his impersonations. Especially of Macho and Vince.
he doesn't do a good savage, look up dan soder
He's making Pat sound more Italian than French...
AlwaysaMystery Yes that’s the bit!
I thought he was impersonating sammartino or sumn 😂😂😂
According to Sherri Martel, Juanita Wright really was a huge Dusty mark and cried when she was told she was turning heel on him. Supposedly the partnership ending soured her on the whole industry.
OptimumTaurus she was in uswa
Hey Juan-Neeee!!!! Sheeettt Bay-Bee !!! Dah Dream is OO-Vah!!!
Sapphire had lust in her eyes.....oooooohhhhh yeah
Saphire turned heel?I don't remember this.
@@adamsmashups4839 yea, thanks to Dibiase's dollars. Started as gifts from a secret admirer. Turned out to be Dibiase. Barely saw her again after the big reveal. I believe this was right before Dustin coming in. So it could have been a way to separate Sapphire from Dusty, before Dustin came in.
2nd best Macho Man impression in the business. 1st is Jay Lethal.
Jake the snakes is pretty good too
@Time Child That's Heather Swanson.
Yeah, Jake Roberts does a great Macho Man
1st is comedian Dan Soder
🤣🤣🤣🤣 damm Bruce ...those Macho & Dusty (RIP 2 x's🙏🏾) voice impressions are so on point manee 🎯😂
Can you imagine a Dusty vs Savage blood feud in JCP ?
Hmm
Savage would destroy Dusty lol
"Well, Babe, that's what we're doing tonight. See you in the ring!" Tbh, I actually dig the IDEA behind "common man should have a common woman".
This could've been a great feud in the NWA
Dusty WAS in shape. Round is a shape.
Savage is a G lol dusty really was the babe Ruth of wrestling lol rip both guys
Bruce's Macho Man impression is starting to sound Rowlf from the Muppets.
LMAO!!!
Dan Soder does a way better Macho Man
Bruce was pretty excellent as Macho
That's part of the charm. ;)
His savage impression is spot on
Love Bruce's impersonations.
I loved Sapphire. I never saw her as a rib. The polka dots were absolutely a rib but I saw Sappbire as exactly how Bruce described her.
Saphire was not a rib. However, the polka dots...
Nobody made a polka dot leotard look cooler than Dusty.
These impersonations are awesome 😂🤣
Bruce literally has the best Macho Man and Dream I've ever heard
Great impersonation of both. I love this interview.
This is one thing wrestling is missing today two characters like Macho Man and Dusty Rhodes. Everyone now is the same
The Jerk Definitely
Yep.
Because no one would ever tell the difference between R Truth and Braun.
That's because back then the wrestlers came up with the gimmicks mostly they say their own lines not a script
@@marcusmajors6196 Actually Vince came up with most of the gimmicks. Macho King, Dusty Rhodes, Brother Love, etc. Vince creations...
@@kingphillieman I gonna look into that
I still don't see anything wrong with Dusty in polka dots or him Sapphire. They worked perfect together in my opinion, and to this day they're all memorable and beloved to this day by fans in attendance. Also, given all that Bruce has said and how others have talked about how Vince treated Dusty and his children, I think Vince has a GREAT amount of respect for Dusty and his family.
Now I think about, ALL these greats are dead; Macho, Dusty, Liz, Sherry Sapphire. Rest in peace.
Drugs don't pay.
@@terminat1 dusty died naturally
Yes, correct. I meant in general.
The most charismatic performer from the NWA meets the most charismatic performer from the WWF. I didn’t care about the polka dots, I loved this feud.
You lucky SOB, Bruce to have had the privilege of working with those five talented individuals. Randy & Sherri (with you) vs Dusty & Sapphire (with Miss Liz) That was the very definition of a fun feud! Two charismatic guys going at it, three lovely ladies and the pot-stirring televangelist LOL Great times! P.S. Your Randy and Dusty imitations: Freaking Pricele$$!
Tbh I’ve not really been impressed by Bruce’s impressions. But that Macho Man impression is sheer perfection.
They humiliated the hell out of Dusty by having Dibiase buy off Sapphire at Summerslam and then he loses to Savage and has to run after his lady in a leaving car lol
Which is how you put maximum heat on a babyface.
Bruce's impression of randy savage is amazing
Love this story, had to "circle back" and listen to again....
Y'all are forgetting about Baby Doll as a valet :)
MrMJC1968 I DIDN'T. She was a damn FOX.
MrMJC1968 she was ugly AF
Sorry about your eye sight there Harvey......Hows the legal trouble coming along?? LMAO!!!
lol I'm living like a docta , no worries
Damien Davidson Baby Doll was a big girl, she wasn't a slight little thing like Elizabeth or someone else, but she wasn't ugly. That's the last thing I've heard said about her. People may slag her off for this or that but being ugly is not one of those.
Dusty as a heel with Dick Murdoch was a bumper like HBK or Crippler Stevens.
I love the imitations! Sounds just like Randy and Dusty! Dusty was favorite as a kid!
Regarding Dusty returning to WCW in 1991, he was wise to return as the booker during that time because Dusty Rhodes was old. He retired in 1991 after his WWF run.
This wouldve been a "dream" match.. no pun....
sxhbk a westling match for the ages if you will
Dam Bruce sounds identical to macho man best impression ever rip macho ,dusty
no he doesnt
And "they never ribbed?" VIRGIL! RED ROOSTER!!!
6
Your point?
Sad thing is, Randy, Liz, Sapphire, Dusty and Sherri are all gone.
He has the voices and phrases down 100% 😂
I won't be told those polka dots weren't a giant F You to Dusty. He handled it like a champ but DAMN!!
Agreed. They’re just romanticized now because Dusty was talented enough to pull it off.
I forgot the story. I'm just listening to this for the impressions.
Great story Brudda Love.
I love this.
This is great...
Does Bruce know Brother Love personally?
I’ve almost watched all of these after seeing the 1st 4-5 on the @WWENetwork my new favorite show/podcast i hope there will be a @UltimateWarrior one on the network
Savage vs Rhodes should have been a co-headliner at Wrestlemania along with Flair vs Hogan. Smh.
Throw in Steamboat vs Perfect while your at it.
Man, Prichard is interesting to listen to but the co-host here is a real piece of work.
Bruce's impression of Pat Patterson sounds just like Super Mario.
And his impression of Randy Savage is just like Ralph from the Muppet Show. 😂
Thank you sapphire! Thank you sapphire! She was awesome !
maybe they were referring to Dream being Yellow (chicken) & Sapphire was the black, to coincide with the black & yellow polka-dot outfit. 😉
In my Monsoon best/worst: "WILL YOU STOP?!" ;)
damm his Randy and dusty impressions are gorgeous! lol
just dusty
on WWE network...Has Dusty's American Dream theme music been replaced by Wheel of Fortune music?
I love how OSW Review refers to Sapphire as Brown Sauce
Bruce's Macho Man is spot on lol
His Dream is great too!
its not though
bruce should do a wrestling impression podcast
Bruce at 10:30 said that Terry Garvin suggested Sapphire.
Conrad's question at 11:00 "Who suggested her?"
At least once per show, Conrad asks a question Bruce just answered.
I was reading your comment just as I got to that point and bursted out laughing.
Every single show!!! Like Conrad hears what he wants to hear lol
Best Macho Man impression of all time 🤣
...Blue Meanie had Jazmine St. Claire...so...
well to be fair in regards of the polka dots, that was kinda the style of the times, late 80s/early 90s had the worst fashion ever, funky looking bright colors, neons, pinks etc... ugh, it was atrocious, it's like everybody wanted to be gay rodeo clown for some reason, there was even a rapper who wore polkadots during that time named kwame, so nobody was immune, gotta give dusty a pass on that one
Lol so hilarious the imitation of macho man and Elton john
Vince came up with "Puppies". Never thought that childhood memory would be shattered
Damn shame we never got the Savage/Dusty 1v1 blow-off................. In fact, that was the case with each of Dusty's WWF feuds (Boss Man, Savage, DiBIase).
I would love to see Macho Man All Fired Up
Fuck I thought macho man made a cameo
I feel like Pat Patterson's main job in WWF/E was to ask why.
Going to today's wrestling that's what AEW and at time WWE needs....just when matches and stories are proposed, someone to ask why.
I don’t know why I am still surprised that anytime I hear a story of a NWA or WCW wrestler coming to the WWF that the WWF Chart into the biggest marks and I have to bury the NWA or WCW wrestler. Shit is fucked up.
lol Savage referred to Dusty as Virgil, his real name. lol but still called Bruce "Brother Love". lol thats funny to me.
I hated the way WWF used Dusty. Damn polka-dots. Worst tenure of his career.
FLORIDA GATOR That wasn't Vince Jr. Nor Senior, that was bookers. Dusty made the polk-a-dots iconic. He made people go, whose the big guy in polk-a-dots dancing? He looks like hes having fun.
And not one time had Dusty ever complained. Meanwhile 20 years later and Bret still won’t stop bitching about WCW.
WCW treated former WWF guys like gold whereas WCW guys were always shit on by McMahon. Brets the only WWF guy who can say he didn’t get put over like a million bucks, but he bitches louder than Vader, Ron Simmons, Dusty, Sting, and Steamboat combined.
No way. It was fun, he was having fun, people were having fun. That's a good thing.
I liked his WWF run but I do agree it could have been better if they took it more seriously
Same shit as today they sign the top talent from other companies and job em out and they are nothing more then mid card if lucky .... AJ is the exception ...
my question has always been during this time.........who did Sherri travel with?!
Dusty Rhodes ain't the first to run a business to a ground but but didn't own it like Randy savage went out of business
Dusty too good for the elbow drop!?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 his Patterson has me dead lol
early 90's WWF gimmicks were the shits.
Great voices
No Conrad, Your not the only one that didn't know about the puppies.
I remember back in the day when the UnderTaker was refered to as "Kane the UnderTaker". For years I was confused when WWF came out with Kane. Until the internet. But I remember those days. Mark had great purple eye make-up back in the day then.
Sure Bruce, Dusty was in great shape... if u consider round a great shape!!
He was kane the undertaker for 1 day lol
Bruce’s impressions in order
4. Dusty
3 . Vince
2 . Macho
1. Cornette
You missed Jerry Jarrett..that's 1a
Vince: "Dusty, don't change a thing. By the way, here's your polka-dotted gimmick."
Dusty, in all his glory, (if you will) could go for 30-60 minutes night after night. He may not have had the body, but he had the engine. Never saw the muscle heads of WWF do that....
The "muscle heads" in WWF worked 200 nights a year and had time restrictions. The guys wrestling 30 to 60 minutes yawners down south were traveling/wrestling far less and using a ton of rest holds. I laugh when i hear fans believe match length makes a match better. It doesn't. Unless it's a special special match, no match needs to be more than 20 to 25 minutes. Long winded matches suck the life out of everything. I. E. Edge vs Orton at WM 36. 20 minutes too long.
actually it was road dogg who called them " puppies" when he tried to make it a condition of a match that if either he or the outlaws woon we would see " her puppies"...I forget what the match exactly was but I remember that
He has one of the best Macho Man impressions wow and Dusty. Didn't Dusty have Baby Doll? A total opposite but was that in WWE?
So you're telling me that's Jimmy Hart voice on Dusty's theme
15:15
Coming from Pat. LOL
Jesus Conrad how many questions you gone ask about sapphire
Pat didn’t like Dusty at all.
About 3:46 Bruce turns into Pat Patterson lol
Interesting, vince didn't want to keep people from being happy, to move on back then, unlike today
Around WM6 was when I was probably the most into wrestling as a ten year old kid. And I absolutely loves Savage in his Macho King period, I still think he was the best heel in the entire business at that time bar none 1989 through 1991.
jerry didn't use puppies 1st on TV... road dogg did
I remember that too! He said that to Debra.
Thought I was the only one that remembered that...
He was talking about Debra if I remember correctly...
Now THAT was fucking hilarious, lol.
That sounded just like randy savage.
Dusty took credit for Sapphire and her polka-dots in an interview. It was his idea to keep himself from being the only heavyset dancing person in polka-dots. To be fair, it worked. It's like standing alone in your underwear versus standing in your underwear alongside somebody else. It was Dusty's way of fighting back against attempts to compromise his image.
