- Katie from Detecting History Podcast joins us for the day! Here is her great podcast: shows.acast.com/64cd0f6ea0dba...
I love metal detecting, it's the hobby that just keeps on giving. I love sharing my finds & love competing with my Dad, the cameraman. Gordon introduced us to this hobby & the three of us enjoyed some great times with light hearted banter but always delighted for each other’s successes. We sadly lost Gordon in July 2022 & he leaves a huge hole in our detecting adventures BUT we continue, hoping he is watching over us. I’m now using his trusty digging tool hoping it brings me some luck!

Awesome finds!
Great finds Paddy! And Dad too! Amazing what can be found in a field!
Thanks a lot for watching, I agree it’s amazing the things you can find in a field!
Great lot of finds everyone. Do really like the spectacle buckle. Very nice. Good day out in the field with friends. Everything else is a bonus. Take care 🦘🦘😁👍
Thanks Andrew, went back on this field last Sunday and had loads of Roman and hammered!
👍👍
Lovely finds, Paddy! The spectacle buckle is beautiful. Congrats on the Roman! Yours is one of my favorite channels to watch!❤
Thanks a lot Cynthia, I loved the spectacle buckle to and the Roman was awesome to!
I had a couple of vespasians silver which is rare in the north. Only matter of time till u hit the jackpot, keep detecting
Wow, that’s insane! I’ve found some insane finds before, hopefully not long till the next!
Well done paddy your knowledge is staggering for your young years!✌️
Thanks a lot for watching and the kind words 😁
Great thumbnail and title here, that's how you draw people in and get the views. That's one heck of a busy field, so many finds, nothing exciting though, I imagine there will be some nice old silver and gold on there somewhere. The screen went small for the last 2 minutes, not sure if you knew this or not. Keep up the good work
Thanks a lot for watching Gareth, hope you and the family are well. I’ve been working on my thumbnails and liked this one a lot, thought it’d do good. Went on this field last Sunday with Marcus and Carl and had a heck of a day. I noticed the screen at the end, not really sure how I missed that 😂. See you Soon! Paddy
Hey Paddy, I have been thinking about the metal detecting hobby, and I was just curious, which metal detector and pinpointers would you recommend using?
Hi, Dad and I use the XP Pinpointers, he has the MI-6 and I have the MI-4. The 6 can connect to the XP headphones but the 4 can't. They both go to a depth of about 6 metres. Not that we have ever dug down that far, but that's what the literature says about them! Hope this info is useful.
Alright, tysm! @@paddydetects
@@EXENTR1K no problem, by 6 meters I meant underwater. Just for clarification 😂
