Thanks for a great video. Good combination of talk and playing. Also explains effects and general functionality of NP3 in a good and simple way. Really nice sound in general of the keyboard I must say, have tried it shortly in the stores in DK as well. Still, kinda tough choice between this and RD800, and now RD2000 from Roland.. I guess it is a matter of taste really...
@@robertg8680 if you actually think about it, you can actually hear a grand piano when you hear roland digital pianos like the fp50 or 60 exc. That's why I prefer roland over yamaha digital pianos
Haven't had any complaints about the keybed reliability so far. It's an improved version of the last keybed used on the Piano 2 and Stage 2 - Nord keyboards are historically one of the most reliable products on the market
Are the the keys weighted to simulate a grand piano feel or are they lighter to touch? When you take it out of the box, are the piano samples already loaded by default or do you have to download from the Nord Piano Library?
Imma be completely honest. I own the Electro 5 and I can get the exact same sounds plus organ minus A1 synth engine on it. They all use the same samples but I guess there is a subtle difference because Nord has an extra keystroke register point. If I would it be the most budget-friendly, I would get the NE5 and midi to a 88key board. If the key bed feels like the Electro series, it is not going to feel like a grand but it does feel really good. They have a different approach in order to reduce weight for the road travel feel. I don't think you're going to get more realistic than Roland on key beds.
I am a teenager trained on an upright piano achieving grade 8 afew years ago. I am in the market for a grand piano / keyboard. Can someone share some insights on the Nord Piano4/Stage3 as a grand piano. Or am I wasting time thinking about a keyboard ?
I would recommend giving us a call in store or contacting us directly via our website, where one of our Piano and Keyboard specialists will be happy to advise you personally. That way we can cater the choices to your specifications. We look forward to hearing from you! (01323 639335)
+Tyler Anderson yes it is possible to layer a piano voice with any of the pad voices in the sample section. You can also download more pad voices from the Nord webs
Nord Piano 3 is good but not so much better that it justifies that $3,000 price tag. Out of those choices, if you're going for a stage piano, Roland is great for that. The Kronos if you want a more full synthesizer experience. I personally prefer the Yamaha Montage, but many don't. Again, if you just want a stage piano, definitely Roland, though.
Keep your Electro 4. You get the same sounds in it as the Piano from the online store. If you want sounds go for the Kronos but if you want a real key bed experience get the rd-2000 and midi the ne4 to it. I did the same for my Motif XF but unfortunately it doesn't sound how the board feels
wow i completely forgot i commented this. I got the chance to play a Nord a couple of weeks ago and it had weighted keys :) But it didn't have a sustain pedal so i walked away furiously >:l
No, The Nord Piano 3 is designed for the traditional Piano player. Therefore it does not have pitch bend and modulation/effect wheel like you would find on the other models like the Nord Stage 3 and Nord Electro 5. These models have other sounds such as organ and synth that would require them. Where as the Nord Piano 3 does not.

No, no it is not.

Super great info, thanks for the video! I'm in the market for a keyboard and videos like this really help in the decision making process.
GREAT Demo...smooth. I wish I was in the UK to see you gig...
You play so well!!!
The best tool for make good music
gorgeous instrument, the sounds and samples in nord are unique, but in terms of hammer action and touch Rolands are the absolute best!
FARTUS MCFARTER FARTS FOREVER true! Didn't think of that ::0. (I'm more of a organ player so yeah)
That's not true, in terms of hammer action, kawai is better than roland.
To me Roland’s sound toylike.

this is the best keyboard there's absolutely no keyboard that can compare
Nah you're lying
No music stand?
What type of speakers i need for this nord3?
Great review with some helpful hints. How have the keybeds stood up to a work out? Only sticking point for me. The sounds are superb.

I've never owned a NORD before, are they generally simpler to operate compared to Roland's RD series?
YES 👍👍
Hi @bonners! Could you tell me the name of the organ sounds used in this review (17:47-18:00)? And, of course, where can I find it to use?
above all piano's which one is the best sir...
Does the piano have its own built in speakers ?

Yes everything you hear on the video is ready to go when you get the keyboard out of the box!
The action though, does it feel realistic to a piano? Because I know the stage series doesn't really. Thanks
I don’t know anyone who uses clav sounds. Pianos, EP’s, organs, synths yes. But clavs and harpsichords-nope.
cool.
I'm looking at buying one of these in 2022, what is a fair price to pay for a decent condition used one in USD?

I musically nutted when i heard that reverb
So does the Nord piano have other pad sounds that you can stack?

Is there a name for the song played in 13:04

Is the absence of seamless transition a pain in the arse?
do any of the Nords come with weighted keys?

Bonners Music Superstore it doesn't even have it on the Nord Electro. That's a whole separate issue.

High price!!
Lillypichu owns this one
I was so surprised because it sounds terrible on stream! Because of the look and sound I thought it had to be really cheap lol
It's oled, not LCD.
I love the way It sounds and it's easy to handle. But I really hate that red MC Donalds color everywhere you look
nord..CUT PRICES!!!
the mechanical key noise is terrible
Roland RD 2000 cheaper better
