I’ve never seen someone use lacker to smooth out a blend before applying base I personally just drop coat my base for a smooth finish on blend pannels but every painter has their own technique if it works for you fair play bro

I knew it! I could tell by your teaching technique that you had some kind of formal training; I picked up on your "tell them what you're going to tell them - tell them, then tell them what you told them. From a retired Lt. Paramedic Fire fighter (Orange County Fl) & ED RN whom used to teach at all levels and all environments, house wives to MD's, emergency responders... I knew you had some formal training! I love your work Brian, great job(s) painting and teaching! I recall you giving me some positive reinforcement (another teaching tech.) when I mentioned needing to paint my truck. Best wishes Sir and stay safe!

I agree. There's so many creators who just don't bother. Some people just want to say 'thanks' for the info, so I say thanks back. Others have questions and that's how we learn, by asking, so I try to answer questions thoughtfully. Yeah, it takes time and can be hard, but the payback is that people like yourself will come back and watch the video again, or other videos in the channel. So everyone's a winner.

Hey bro, thanks so much for all of the content the world is blessed to have people like you sharing their knowledge for free!
Any chance you could give some tips on how to paint parts in your garage? essential tools, how to hang or place parts when spraying, timeframe between coats etc.

NH797M, our solvent line has 12 choices, our waterborne line has 17. None of the chips match each other. I had an instructor tell a story years ago about how much the color can shift from the start of a shift to the end, at the factory. Try taking a hood off a car that went through assembly at 8am and put it on the car at the end of the shift, UNBELIEVABLE. I do believe that has become much less of a problem all these years later, I HOPE!

Very interesting. We have the same issues and have had the issues in many lines that we have had. We have a camera reading that is very close.

Really like your "no nonsense" video style. Question: Can I paint a motorcycle tank & fenders with basic Duplicolor spray rattle cans and then then take it to a shop for a professional, durable, Urethane clear coat ?

  • @homeboycustompaint3346

Nice blend sir. BTW you'd make a good teacher , it's overwhelming your way of projecting the whole procedure.
