Just put these on my 22 taco and the RCs are the best for the money hands down

Thanks. In the middle of installing mine and wasn’t sure of how the magnets were installed.
The instructions that come with the kit leave much to be desired.

Definitely going with the RC! I run the Diablo i3 platinum and I’m not trying to run a OBD splitter.. nice video my man 🫡

I chose them for the same reasons that you did for my Bronco. Even if the AMP's were the same price, I'd choose the RC's.

I have the Amp Research Powerstep Xtreme. Got it on sale. Still spent $2k. Great steps. The hardest part was connecting the trigger wires to the BCM. Pre refresh models only need to plug into the OBD port.

Great choice… as I said I can’t compare it because I never had the amp one… but I want to give a try for the RC ones… we will see, only the long run will tell if it is worth or not

@@Matty.Garage very true. This is the first time I’ve ever purchased electric runningboards. The only thing I don’t like about the Rough Country is the magnetic trigger system. One thing I don’t like about my steps is the LED lights. They look blue. Other than that I’m pretty happy with it. It took me literally four days to install it. I took my time and did one phase at a time spending several hours a day doing it. I still need to install the accessory switch so I can have them in the in or out position.

We have a 23 Tacoma TRD double cab Off Road. We lived in a very mountainous area of north central WA state and get 5-7 feet of snow every year. We're 5 miles from town on a private road that we have to plow and maintain ourselves.
I have factory running boards on my truck now, but they sit right under the rocker panels. I am looking for a running board that is closer to the ground and retracts up against the rocker panels when not in use

Love the truck! Could you please tell me what size tires and wheels you had on your Colorado. Love that look. I have a Colorado just like you had and I want mine to look like that. Thanks!

    My story,
All pretty easy…….. except “setting the motors and door triggers”, the lack of thought on securing the motors which are sooooooo important is pathetic. 1 (small) bolt and another jammed right against the motor arms….. mine are loose, I’m a metal guy so I’m going to customize support brackets. The bolt on the bottom is loose. (Factory hole is too big) Home Depot run to try and figure a solution.
    Triggers.
Did exactly as this kid shows and RC guy Gaston and …….. still didn’t work……… got magnets of my friggin fridge !!!!!!!!!! Works
Again ….. Home Depot to buy magnets !!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and I do custom work at an auto shop in Florida.
8 hours ran all the wires and triggers , aliging and securing the motors on the driver side ONLY !!
    Will finish tomorrow.
The body mount frame on the drivers side 2015 Sierra 1500 is hitting the step..
Will grind of some metal there.
    Tough Day !
    Do your research,
Watch videos and expect NO TIME LIMIT.
They are cool, cheaper and whatever,
    Later
