He wasn't cursing. It was just a video version. At that time videos were still on TV and certain things were edited in addition to curses such as n-word, and references to guns and drugs. Check out the unedited, I'm sure it's no big deal

Rakim always had a song here and there with a curse in it. The thing is he never has to lean on curses to fill a verse. In this song he cursed once and I bet most people wouldn’t even catch it. The rest of the edits were for the n word. Ra is still the God MC today. ✌🏾
That's one of many rhymes that he wrote. His use of curse words pales in comparison to the amount of profanity that is used today. He still has something to say.

Master P was not a good rapper, but he did spit real shit. He felt authentic, as did the whole No Limit roster. P wasn’t a great lyricist, but he has great charisma, and he had plenty of good-great talent following his orders.
