Tyler, thanks, i didnt know how this called even, now i know how train this trick
Good information here and I loved the raking over the Am pentatonic that you did!
That easy listening in the background really sets the mood.
this is the best raking lesson online! Thank you !
Can you tech me how to shotgun 2 beers at once while smoking as well
love it! Been wanting to do this ever since I heard John M do it!
Nice way of explaining, dude. Good stuff!
I might rake and use pinch harmonix a little to much in some players opinion. I think they add a much fuller sound especially if playing acoustic solo or with three piece bands. It's just part of my playing style. Your raking technique is very impressive imo
Great video man!!!! Very well explained!
there is no thing called : too much raking
Listen to "Better" by Guns n Roses. Bumblefoot does a ton of raking on the second harmonic solo. He does it so fast, it's beautiful.
Here from 2021, wanted to see the original setup. Respect.
When I was studying classical guitar , I was taught that raking is the name for taking (usually) your index finger and plucking multiple strings with it in one motion. Sometimes playing more than one note per string, like sweep picking. Though sometimes just holding a chord and hitting multiple strings in one go.
What the fuck
Fuck the what
SRV was an absolute master of this technique.
right on thanks man, appreciate it
Or, lie it on the ground and step on the end, Sideshow Bob-style...
Never knew this was actually a technique, really cool
Best explanation I have seen yet
Helpful. Anyone know the backing track in this video?
Can you do a video about tap harmonics like you did at the beginning of this video? It's something I wish I understood better.
yes
wow. Your videos have definitely improved since these days of yore. :)
This was before he blew up 😀
Good thoughts. Raking may be 1st cousin to the percussive strum, eh?
why didn’t you break out the 2nd last lick? 😓 triple rake, single rake is easy to do, but i still dont get it how to do triple rake..
Hey man , nice video! , can you tell me what gauge of strings are nice for big bendings like david gilmour, thank you so much your videos are awesome , you need to be famous ;)
+Alejandro Enmanuel Cabrera Contreras Hey man, I think what's more important is that you master perfect intonation on a gauge that you're comfortable with. I use .09 and .10 gauge strings. Check out this video around the 5min mark for how I like to practice bending: czcams.com/video/hiNl2TpPyaw/video.html
+Music is Win thanks you so much dude, i will try diferent gauges and see what works for me, and thanks for the bending tip !! U got a Nice vibrato ,please keep it up!! :D
Gilmour was a raking nutter...
I knew how to do this.
I didn’t know it was called “raking”, I always called it “Scraping”.
David Gilmore is my favorite raker
4:30
John Frusciante does it a lot XD
why is this in my recommendation now
I didn’t know Kyle Rittenhouse could play guitar
