The unfortunate part about TP is everyone, riders, commentators are all talking about how people will be fighting for second. Everyone just gives up.
I'm not so sure people have given up, more like just being realistic. It would have been the same in the days of Eddy Merckx.
Cavendish said that he didn't want to break his record of winning a stage of the Giro every time he raced it by losing if he went and he said that given that he won in Rome last year that he wanted that as his final stage win at the Giro
I think Tadej is even money to do the Triple Crown this year. If he stays healthy 2024 is his year!

Unless p constrains himself at giro, wins but takes it easy, then there’s a chance he can win tour. To win tour he has to coast to giro win
Only Tadej can beat Tadej. By blowing up like he did at Granon or Loze. But the Giro will be much cooler than the Tour and this year's route is also not too brutal. So chances of that happening are minimal.
The answer is very simple… just himself can beat him… I mean, if he or the team dont make something stupid, the Giro is his.
