- While the Jeep Gladiator has a best in class towing capacity with a gas motor, it doesn't mean it'll pull that weight without some serious rear end sag. In this video, you'll get to see how the air suspension system made by ACCUAIR will automatically level out your ride and make your towing experience, a much better one. As an added bonus, you'll even get to see just how easy it is to hook up to a trailer, simply by pushing a button. We hope you enjoy.

Wow a gladiator that’s being used for more than one purpose! Nice job and sweet trailer
Glad you enjoyed our video :)
You know your channel is awesome when we watch you make a dump run and somehow you make it interesting! Great video!
🤣 Now that's funny! Glad you enjoyed the video 😎
@@wayalife 2:06 that mountain, is close to my house.👍
They say things like this are a “Jack of all trades, master of none.” I haven’t really seen a down side to this air suspension! Always enjoy your videos
Glad to hear you enjoy our videos and yes, I'd have to agree that most people will find this suspension system to work out great for them.
Usually watch on Apple TV so don’t/can’t comment. I love all your videos how you make the mundane fun. This showed me what I have wanted to know. Older guy here who uses a camper now. Besides making it easy to get into for my vertically challenged wife hooking up is super easy. I need to really mull this over. Thanks
We appreciate you taking the time to comment and we're glad to hear our videos are something you enjoy and are helpful to you.
The Accuair is quite amazing, but the lift on the trailer to effectuate the dump was a surprise. At the start ,when the vehicle backed & lowered to the trailer hitch height ,that was a "smooth operation" . Impressive video, thanks.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for this video Eddie. I asked you a couple mos. Ago about this and there was just too much snow around then. When I get enough greenbacks saved up I’m going to get this for my Eco Gladiator!
Awesome! I'm glad we were able to make this video for you :)
Gotta get this system for my 20' JTR
love the air ride. So versatile. I do not have it on my Gladiator...yet...but do have it on my Danali. So useful.
It really does make a vehicle so much more versatile.
@@wayalife yes sir
Just what I'm looking for my JT Mojaves
Glad we could share this with you :)
What size lift was on that rig? Amazing content as always by the way. You have walked me through many installs on my "20 JT.
The default ride height for the ACCUAIR system is 4.5" on a Gladiator.
Didn’t know you were a Frey fan until this morning. 👍
LOL - we’re you out there today? Absolutely love Frey 👍🏻
@@wayalife - Just a few places behind you. I was in the red Power Wagon. Lucked out, as I was already in town with my daughter for a barrel race that morning.
@@nevadadrifter No kidding! Well, I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to speak with you. Hope your daughter did well with her race.
Glad to see jeeps are good for other uses. We are just getting into the jeep life. Thinking of trading in the Jeep compass north model for a 2023 2dr willys sport.
Oh yeah, we use ours for all kinds of things and I think you'll be happy with a 2 Door Willys.
@Wayalife I agree. Were in our 50's and it's just us and Bella our furry family member so it'll be perfect. Thanks again for all the great videos.
💪
Great 🇺🇸 stuff 🇺🇸 👍
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Looks like a really good investment in that air system. Very nice.
Trailer is dam nice too, is it a commercial brand or self designed?
The trailer is a PJ and we bought it from a local retailer.
👌
Nice!
Glad you enjoyed the video.
@@wayalife jealous… still working on my current things. Suspension, tires, and clutch upgrades. :-)
Heck I want the trailer lol
LOL
Videos like this sure make it difficult for me to stay away from my local Jeep dealerships.
LOL - glad you enjoyed the video.
Great video. What tire and wheel setup you have on your gladiator? Wonder for the air system - what’s the limit of size?
37" Toyo MTs mounted on TIS Offroad 556. As far as the air system goes, what exactly are you wanting to know?
@@wayalife thanks for the response. Wonder what maximum weight can the Gladiator take on top/bed with the Air system. Saw you pulling the trailer.
@@cmwilfred They've tested it carry way more than what the Gladiator is rated for and without any issues. But, I wouldn't. The bigger issue you should be concerned with it the lack of power the Gladiator has for that weight and braking.
Do you prefer Gas or Diesel for towing with the Gladiator? I'm on the fence for a daily driver, weekend light wheeling with the RTT, and long summer road trips with the teardrop.
Honestly, I prefer diesel in general and love the performance of the one in a Gladiator. That said, I am hard pressed to ever buy one if only because of the fact that I have multiple friends who've already had problems with the fuel system and the fix for it was over $10k. Sure, it was covered under warranty this time but WHEN it happens again in the future, it'll be on them. Also, I am discouraged by the fact that the engine has already been discontinued and just after 3 years. I imagine parts for it will become hard to come by. Such a bummer.
Been using my Gladiator for towing a bit and pretty sure I towed over 7k on accident (was towing a small building on a trailer). Only reason I think this is that when I loaded the load it squatted quite a bit. Later when I towed a confirmed 5500lbs it didn't squat much at all. This kind of worried me. Thankfully I didn't go far. But it still did a great job. I'll be towing a 6500lb travel trailer from Wyoming to Texas in November so I'll get to find out how well it tows in the long haul. I'll have load bars but I sure wish I had air bags. I've had them before on other trucks and there's just no comparison.
How much does the ACCUAIR affect the ability of the truck off-road?
We have multiple videos that highlight the ACCUAIR system but this one is probably one you should see czcams.com/video/GKZ-uwINK2k/video.html
Nice, good day what's the estimated lifespan of the airbag itself? Can't seems to get a answer from accuair about the material use to make it.
ACCUAIR will warranty their air pistons for at least 100k miles
I've not considered a gladiator based on reviews of instability when towing heavy (6k-ish lbs) loads. What was the weight of that load? Does the air suspension help with towing stability?
Not all Gladiators are rated for the same amount of weight. A Sport with a 3.6L has a 7500 lb capacity but others have quite a bit less. That said, our total load including the weight of the trailer was 6000 and yes, the air suspension did help a LOT with stability. However, it won't help the engine or braking.
I want this for my JTRD, i messaged AccuAir they said i needed to use the 4xE kit for the JL. That just leaves me with even more questions.
What they are telling you is that the kit you need will work for your setup as well or at least, in terms of it being a direct bolt on kit.
Brad, Trail Recon, had his burn out at 35,000 miles towing a tent trailer. A clutch system, not a gear system.
What's up with the Florida plates when you're in Nevada?
This video might help czcams.com/video/TWyj50BLL1M/video.html
We also have a bunch of other videos that might answer other questions you might have :)
How does the Accu air deal with the driveshaft? Any worries about slipping off?
Your drive shaft collapses the taller you go or droops out when flexing. There is no worries or issues to deal with.
IT has been months since you reviewed. Is the system still performing well? do you still like it?
Yes. I've been very happy with it. As I mentioned on your other post, this is the video you need to see czcams.com/video/fWDqCv5cjtM/video.html
Will it work on the Eco Diesel Sport? I don't see that option on their website? Thanks
Not as a direct bolt on kit but I have seen people make it work.
The future is here.
It is a good setup and one right out of the future.
👍
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Is Accuair going to come out with an air system for a JLU w/E Torque
They just don't have anything that will bolt right on. You could make it work though.
When is Accuair dropping the EcoD kit?
You can make it work now and I know people who have, it just isn't a direct bolt on kit.
Did the rancho diff skid plate work well ?
We don't have the Rancho diff skid on this Jeep but to answer your question, yes, I found it to work well.
Thank you for reply; learning a lot from this channel. 😇
I want a gladiator so bad, but I guess I'll be stuck with a zr2 colorado 20k difference in used prices!
The price of these things is a bit absurd. But, the Colorado's are real nice too.
Does the Gladiator have the same transfer case as the 392??
No.
Is that gladiator regeared , and are those 37” tires ?
Yes, they are 37" tires and yes, it has been regeared with 4.88s
Florida plates ?
ACCUAIR is located in Florida and this Jeep belongs to them.
Sweet trailer! Man u live under some seriously heavy chem trail spraying.
Saya lebih suka lihat kacamata anda can you tell me brand nya apa ? Thanks Bro...salam dari jkt indo
Wait those plates said Florida!
LOL - that's where ACCUAIR is based out of and this is their Jeep.
there s just some thing wrong with having a dump with that scenry in the back ground
🤣 I couldn't agree more. You should see it when the wild horses are roaming around.
Florida tag???
That's where ACCUAIR is. This is their Jeep.
Wonderful, but too expensive.
It's expensive for sure and clearly, not meant for everyone.
I like that air system, I never seen a Gladiator with one. I wonder how much it costs, another great Video, just how many Gladiators do you have 😂
You're looking at $7000 for the kit. Not cheap by any means but there are definitely kits out there that cost as much or a lot more and you don't get the benefits of air pistons.
I've been a Jeep owner and fan since I was a kid. Now at 60 years old, I am done. Jeep isn't even an American company anymore. Like so many other once great American icons, it has been bought out by foreigners, being owned now by the Fiat Peugeot conglomerate, Stellantis' multinational company based in Netherlands. I traded my 2022 Wrangler in for a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss. At least it's still an American vehicle.
Good for you. You should always buy what you want👍
