    Here at Sun Distributing, we believe that the supplier of the window film should know every aspect of the business. It makes it hard when a tinter or tint shop needs support but their supplier does not know the business from one end to the other. I started as a tinter helper in 1989 and worked my way up to the point of distribution. Along the way I have put together a successful retail tint shop and know every hurdle that a tinter and/or shop owner could face. I believe that there is an extreme value to having a company with our experience in the industry having your back.

    Love this. I had my first car tinted 10 years ago. The guy doing it let me watch the whole process and it fascinated me. Taught me the H process and such. I would love doing it, but I hear with some newer cars like Lexus, they have a thin film already on the inside that you can scratch. That sorta stuff stops me from watching to switch my career lol. I think for a newby...brown jersey gloves instead of a hard card...the hard card if your not experienced enough to me you might crease the film as you smooth the film up or down...the jersey brown glove will let you smooth the film up or down n let you tolerate the heat too...

    More videos please windshield on all side and rear windows!

  • @comingtofull-ageinchrist6736

    I noticed, from repeatedly watching you do front and back windows, that when the film starts to drape, you push it with the felt card to make it lay down. Until you start shrinking it, you have what you are always identifying as fingers that run from top to bottom. One more thing that I picked up on your last stream is what you said about which edges you can shrink are the ends of the film and not the sides; because of the way it's made. I didn't know that, but when you snap shrink the door windows, you are actually shrinking the sides; because of the way you double cut the door windows. maybe that's only because you don't need to shrink but a very little. You've been doing it for 15 years, so I'll take your word for it. Because you always do a superb job of tinting windows, no matter what. I actually ignore what other people say. Everyone has a style, but I don't want to bounce around on techniques. Somehow I found your videos, and I started watching them and you are very good and not only executing it but explaining it. I figure if I keep watching and listening to you, that I will eventually pick up on what makes you so good at it, and then maybe I can grow from there, and maybe I find a different way as I tint, but until then, I'll just listen to one voice on it; I think I'll have better chances of getting it if I do that. Thanks for posting all the videos and coaching us through the process, Matt; Great Job my man!

    hi, is there any chance that after applying the film, to notifice some sort of distortion on the windshield or it would be because of the windshield itself? there is no bubble or any type of material on it, actually it looks like it does not have a film on it , so clean, however i have noticed after a while, that i see a distortion , like horizontal line on the drivers side and it is annoying .

  • @comingtofull-ageinchrist6736

    I knew you had to shrink the front windshield to tint it, but this is the first time to see the process. Not sure if you took the film off when you were doing the shrink process. I'm guessing you took it off before spraying the soapy water onto it. I tried to do the door windows of my truck about 7 years ago, and I had a difficult time with cutting it to size. I didn't really see you show that process here on the windshield either. I know you done it after shrinking it, but you didn't show the process of making some nice clean cuts, so what is the process you use to accomplish some clean lines around the edges?

    • @shelbyhoneysuckle1080
      @shelbyhoneysuckle1080 Před 2 lety +2

      Sharp blade and a steady hand with plenty of light from the inside. There’s a dot matrix that’s used as an outline, or like in this video he has the white tape outlining it and uses that to cut the film to size. Super easy.

      @joshcortner Před 2 lety +2

      Wet shrink is very old school, that's how I learned. Dry shrinking using baby powder (messy) or dryer sheets is a lot easier to learn and is pretty forgiving. Pure dry shrinking is easy to do with a clean and dry window while using this pull method but if you force the film it is easier to crease.

    • @wazewaze8185
      @wazewaze8185 Před 2 lety +2

      @@jasongammoh4114 But why? Some windows are impossible to wet shrink. I can we shrink almost anything. But why do you choose to wet shrink over dry? Dry shrinking is at least 3x as quick for me, and Idk if youve done tesla 3/y/x back windows, but dry shrinking is the only way
