Hey guys. As a fellow spearfisherman I love your videos. One piece of feedback. One of the great joys of spearfishing and freediving is how peaceful, quiet, and calming it is. I feel like this is lost with the choice of music you overlay on your videos. Something more calming would be nice :) Keep up the great work.

There are some butthurt, ignorant people commenting on this. This was an absolutely beautiful video, very well edited. Great shot on several unbelievable fish. Yes Sail Fish have been known to turn on their attacker and spear them with their bill. A Sail Fish cost my friend 36 stitches in his right shoulder:)

What's with all the dumb comments? Comments like "sailfish are not good eating", goes spearfishing every weekend but doesn't know when what's shown is not a shark, shoots everything, or those hate comments like "I hope you get shot" or "hope a bull shark chows on you" etc...
If you are not gonna like what is shown, don't click.
If you don't like killing something for food don't eat it.
If you care more about fish than your fellow man, well we too don't care about you.

Welcome enhancements to the Vecta mech. (loading butt, active spear-line release & slide on reel mount). Surprised how much and how often the RA trigger mech. changes - can't help wondering when they will get it "just right". Also, surprised they didn't bite-the-bullet and ditch the plastic line release - which seems to be the cause of at least some (perhaps all?) of those jamming problems mentioned. Time to move to all carbon barrels? Slimmer handles?

love me a nice rob allen steak. the japanese restaurant in my city also sells rob allen sushi. the best part is the cheeks and especially the belly fat.. garry grouper and sheryl shark who are respected restaurant testers in town also swear by rob allen meat. it rounds up perfectly any 4-meal course.. but due to the large amount of fat extra large plates are advised...

Dosen't the sword fish attack or struggle when you shoot?
First it was a sail fish and they are unpredictable if you shoot them in the right spot they will try get away or just die straight away or if you hit a body shot it will attack and charge

you just pull it in if its big and can swim fast you will need a real gun so it doesn't drag you usually you shoot it twice to secure the shot

Thank you. The Leonard Mecca guy that was talking about the shark had me irritated. He says he spearfishes every weekend, but he doesn't know the difference between a shark and a cobia. Seems legit.

Why would you shoot a sailfish? They are not good eating and they serve much more for eco tourism. I think spear fishing is awesome, but that sport needs to start thinking like sport fisherman for conservation.

What a waste... no food value in sailfish at all and thats besides the point that sailfish are morally a "catch and release" game fish
They do have "food value", spearfishing, just like any other form of recreational fishing is done for both the purpose of the activity and eating what is caught. They also have a very healthy population where this was filmed so harvesting them is not gonna be leaving any negative impact. If this fish was caught/harvested on rod and reel I doubt you would have left that comment.
If "food value" to you is coating the fish in seasonings and batter until the flavor of the actual fish is gone, or like Ive heard before, putting it in a "soup," its probably a trash fish. Don't shoot fish for the picture or the thrill, if the fish you're shooting isn't meant to be shot. Also, rod and reel is not an exception to keeping game fish.
+Max Laputka Last time I checked it wasn't you who we had to ask if a fish is worth eating or not. Billfish taste great grilled or in soup. Many expensive fish like Scorpionfish are used in soups.
Explain how catch & release - torturing an animal during an extended fight on light tackle for no other reason than your own entertainment and macho glory - is morally superior to spearfishing, please.
Just because you don't recognize it as a food fish doesn't place a ban on it being eaten does it now? I know of other countries that view opaleye as a food fish (not because there isn't a variety of fish) whereas here in the states it's seen as trash.
