      @Mike White I'm moving there from the USA and god help me I will do everything in my power to prevent that from happening. "I come from the future and I bring you dire warnings good people of Poland, pray heed them" Wealth only leads to invasion if you allow it. Poland was never a colonizer nor a slaver so the media and academia can't use those guilt trips to instill ethnomasochism in the poles. I think Poland might still be polish in 100 years.

      Ow yeah. Against heavy armed elite SS divisions there were mostly unarmed CHILDREN. That's why Warsaw Uprising was only 63 days.

      @Bezimienny Z Gothic 2 Yes. Only third of uprisers were armed. A lot of them were children. Imagine if those were fully armed adults.
      And I think it's more reasonable to compare first days of invasion. Poland defended itself over 2 weeks, untill we were backstabbed by Soviets Sep. 17th. Paris surrendered BEFORE Germans got there...

      No, I actually only went to the Old City for one or two days and stayed in other parts of Kraków and Nowa Huta for the remaining ten days or so.
      And I loved it everywhere, found it super-safe, also jogging at night. It was very cultured, measured by the number of book cafés, libraries, art exhibitions, theater plays and people reading books on public transport.
      The transport system is excellent and very easy to understand.
      I would think that wages are lower, because rents are much lower too. Arguing with nominal wages, we should all live in New York or San Francisco (although we would then sleep on the floor of a friend's apartment's bathroom, because we couldn't afford to rent anything else).

    Just stop listening to all this propaganda.. We are a normal country of normal people who are very open to people from other countries who respect and care about values which build a healthy society. Just remember one thing - you are just a guests, so you should respect the rules prevailing here.
    As you will respect us and our culture, you will get the same in return. Simple but not easy to understand for everyone.

    • @DrSuperMonky
      @DrSuperMonky Před 4 lety +1

      As someone from the USA, trust me, you DO NOT WANT GUESTS. They will move in and take your country from you. Life here only gets worse every year. If there is such propaganda it is to your benefit that it exists, unless of course you want your children feel like outsiders in your own hometown. If that's your goal then I guess you do want guests.

They seek for traditions from the USA and generally from the west, they believe that everywhere in the western part of Europe is better. I have to tell'ya, that this year of the 2018, I was eating the same great Polish food (pyzy z miesem) drinking "Krolewskie Piwo" (Royal Beer) at the same bar, at the same street in Praga Polnoc, during celebration and festive of the nearby ancient Zabkowska Street. It was just f____n GREAT :o)) //// So, I believe that you really very much enjoyed your staying in Warszawa, the city which didn't practically exist after the end of the WW ||. The very tall building that is Soviet gift is actually Culture and Science Palace and for some time it was the tallest building in Europe. Also the part of Warsaw that was destroyed was partly rebuild in the old style (some of it was rebuild using paintings as a scheme) and part was rebuild in the socialist/communist. But the fact that most of Warsaw was rebuild hurt some other parts of Poland because they only focused on the capital so they took bricks and everything from other cities. Another thing is that I personally think that there isn't so much trauma in families after the war as after the Communist rule cause people still remember this from their lives. And also because of that in Poland many people, especially like 50 and older speak better Russian than English cause that's what they learned in schools.
