    I receive many questions on which microscope one should buy. I recommend the following models for amateur microscopy (Affiliate Links to Amazon):
    Children’s/Introductory - Swift or National Optical SS110: amzn.to/2WdS4PX
    For Amateurs - Swift SW380T (with phototube) or Swift SW380B: amzn.to/3fu7aIY

    He should have done few sections of the beef patty, there are plastic beads in the meat as a filler. The FDA approved it because it's digestible.I know this first hand. My husband is truck driver. He went to pick a load up, as he was pulling off he got stopped because he didn't put his hazmat sticker magnet on the back of the load, he asked what the hell does mcdonald's need hazmat for, they told him he was hauling barrels of these plastic beads filler for their meat!!!!!!!

    This was both fascinating and revolting. I haven’t eaten a Big Mac in over 20 years. I have eaten the fries once or twice but they always leave a nasty film in my mouth. I was hoping to find out what kind of inorganic chemistry is used to cook or preserve them. Thank you for risking your life for science!

    I live in Toronto and recently sent a microscope capable of digital recording of specimen to my 8 year old grandson Nicholas and his 11 year old sister Sophia who live in Los Angeles. I am retired and plan to use the excellent video lessons on your website to do some long distance teaching during our Covid lockdown while I am waiting to go see them in person after vaccination which in Canada could take a year - even for 74-year old Asthmatics like me. So much for our underfunded and overloaded public health care system in Canada.

    The onion in those burgers comes to the store as dehydrated flakes with powdered flavouring. Then employees mix the packet in a bucket with a couple of litres of water overnight to rehydrate it.
    I suspect this is why you didn't see any skin and it looks different to real onion.

    Hi! I'm curious, why not add the methalene blue to the water drop before the cover slip and then place the cover slip on top so it doesn't risk staining the microscope? Is there a methodological reason to add the drop after placing the cover slip? Also because of your channel I've decided to buy my first microscope. Thanks!

    • @Microbehunter
      @Microbehunter  Před 3 lety +2

      You are right. The reason why I applied it under the microscope is because I wanted to film the methylene blue move across the slide(for better effects), but the danger of this can be seen.

      According to USDA standards, any product called ‘beef’ only needs to contain 40% beef. Also, according to USDA standards, ‘beef’ means ANY part of a cow. How about if we just compromise and just call it ‘mystery meat’? 😆

    • @tbmavenger71
      @tbmavenger71 Před 3 lety +2

      @@Willam_J You haven't stated a reason for me to think that it is not meat. I just googled several websites that all said McDonald's uses real beef. Mcdonald's is very unhealthy, will definitely kill you quickly, and I have no doubt that it is chock full of preservatives and fillers, but nowhere have I ever seen a credible source that gives me a reason to believe that they somehow manufacture a beef alternative without getting caught. If you could give me a source specifically talking about fake mcdonald's meat I would change my mind.

      TBM Avenger - Relax. It simply started as a joke about the quality of McDonalds food. All fast food restaurants use fillers, binders, preservatives and flavorings. Yes, you’re right, it’s ‘meat’. Yes, it’s ‘beef’. I was simply pointing out how low the bar is, in the US, for declaring something to be beef. Just take it in the humorous spirit that it was given and please don’t take it so seriously. I was simply trying to inject some humor into an otherwise crazy and hectic year. I really can’t argue with you, because I agree with you. Have a great week and stay well. Again... It was simply a joke. 😃
