What microscope do you recommend that has high magnification but user friendly. I want to see the same detail that you see.

Really cool little shell cells, and funky fungi background! Why i went to your video actually ties in to that: I was reading about the rust fungus and some of the weird, freaky, and awesome stuff that other fungi can do, and there was only one decent zoomed in picture on wikipedia and no microscope images. Would it be possible for you to get a sample?

Googling the species showed that the preferred name is now Elphidium Crispum (sigh) with a long list of older names as synonyms There is an article in Wikipedia on Elphidium

Great video.. I just did a video of thrips in my roses.. I did look at strawberries from the market under a microscope a month ago, couldn’t find any thrips or insects on them.. great video..

Erdbeerenland? Best place to get larger amounts of strawberries, if you make jams.

Thrips is the usual term, singular or plural (family Thysanoptera), which you clearly know. A lab at PFW discovered Soybean Vein Necrosis used thrips as vectors. There are dozens of species of thrips; onion thrips, watermelon thrips, soybean thrips, tobacco thrips; a fascinating species. Thank you for this up-close look. Most don't ever even see these little pests!
