  • Today, we are doing a Kundalini Meditation to decrease stress and activate intuition. How it works is that we inhale in 8 different strokes and exhale all the way. In this breathing pattern, we do not only decrease stress but we also stimulate our third eye and activate intuition. This is perfect to students who want to explore kundalini yoga, no prior experience needed. Thank you for joining me in this kundalini meditation practice.

    I'm trying so hard to jog my intuition through all the stress and clutter in everyday life. I finished your chakra series, and this morning, I completed this meditation. I find it relaxing and calming, and eventually, I hope it will help to open up and access the wisdom that is out there somewhere. Thank you for all your really wonderful videos, I enjoy following you a lot!

    Beautiful, beautiful practice! Finally I did it! I knew that I should not quit up with Kundalini. It's still a demanding practice for me but for the first time I saw the light at the end of the tunnel! (so we say in Italy) 🙂 Thank you Brett

    It was nice to see your dog again :) For this one my center back was once again hurting a lot, as well as my quads in trying to keep myself upright. Just sitting up like that for very long is uncomfortable. I guess I just have to keep working at it.
    Namaste.

    Help needed! I did the meditation this morning first thing after waking up - everything started normal as I've done it before - , but at one point half way through I somehow involuntarily started inhaling in 16 strokes instead of 8, I did that intuitively a couple of times and after finishing the meditation I was able to retain the breath for what felt a very long time without feeling any need for exhaling. I first felt super clear and focused after the whole meditation, and I could feel how some blocks in my third eye were clearing up and the energy started swirling. However at one point my crown chakra began to tingle and I heard it literally popping open. It was like this super intense beam of white light was streaming through me and charging my body and whole being with bliss. This feeling was so overwhelmingly beautiful and scary at the same time it's hard to describe it with words alone. I can't recall all the details, but I still remember that I heard a very weird sharp and super high pitched sound like glass scratching or breaking and then i must have lost consciousness or at least passed out for a while. I just woke up more than 3 hours later with a super intense dream still in my head and while I'm writing this I slowly feel like I'm coming back to my normal state of consciousness. After waking up I felt completely spaced out and out of this world. I slowly feel more or less normal again, but I'm completely exhausted now... I also got a slight headache and I'm still feeling a slight buzzing on the top of my head.

      WOW, that is intense!! You definitely need to do some grounding things now. You could do my root chakra class. Walk outside barefoot if possible. Child's Pose, Forward Folds, Malasana, and Toe Squat are all grounding poses you can do immediately after any such experience. Also, important note, make sure yoou tune out at the end of your kundalini classes, even if it is after you wake up. Hope these tips help, let me know!

      @julesmarie1630 Před 6 lety

      Indeed, intense is the right word here. I'm aware that I'm rather sensitive to energies, but this one came a bit out of the blue so it caught me off guard. I'm gladly totally fine again and I'm feeling much more balanced and fresh again. I simply took some rest and a salt scrub bath, it normally does the job quite well if the energies and cleansing experiences get to overwhelming. It's an insanely hot day here today so I'll do some grounding outside in the cooler hours later today. Thanks for your quick reply and advice and the work you are doing here in general! You are such a great and knowledgeable teacher. I found your channel a while ago and it's a delight to follow your classes. I just realized once more today that i need to be super careful with any kind of activating exercises.

      Self care is really grounding too, so the salt scrub bath (which sounds amazing by the way) was a great idea. Glad you know how to re-ground, and that you are feeling better

    I love this one. Thank you! Why is it that sometimes you put the right hand on top of the left, and other meditations you put left on top of right?

      Thank you, so glad you liked it!! The easy answer is that the hand positions have different energetics. Practice with me again soon!

    I am Jw why most kundalini yoga is performed while sitting?? Is this to teach you to have a more optimal posture and realign your chakras in the best way?

    • @BrettLarkinYoga
      @BrettLarkinYoga  Před 4 lety +1

      Great question! Yes this does allow for optimal energy flow in the body. It is also so kundalini is accessible to a wide variety of people. Thank you for practicing with me!!
