you're right. I'm a united fan and other United fans are just impossible to discuss football with. I've got mates who are Chelsea, Liverpool, City fans and because they've all lived through trophyless eras, they understand football far better than my United mates do. My theory is that 20 years of success through the 90s and 2000s has completely distorted their ability to objectively analyse what's going on. Most of them still haven't realised ten hag still hasn't implemented a style of play. And the most egregious thing is they keep making the same mistakes. Every time we sign a new player they just blindly believe that he's am incredible footballer, remember the 'Tony Martial scores again' song.... thats aged like milk. They're now convinced that Hojland is a year or two away from being world class. I'm baffled. Are they closing their eyes when he gets the ball? He's shown nothing more than becoming the next Chris Wood. They're delusional. Even the second caller in this clip says "there's this young lad at crystal palace he's called olise"... like nobody has heard of olise and he's really got his ear to the ground on the next big thing.
Newcastle will put Andy's "Elite" manager out of his misery by 10pm.

Imagine blaming the Glazers for everything then having zero comprehension for why the Club isn't competing for titles anymore when you're watching the likes of Diogo Dalot playing week in week out. It's this sheer gormless nature a lot of United fans, especially those that subscribe to The United Stand, conform to and give proper United fans a bad name.
Manchester United have got to except the fact that they are not a big club as in the old days the last 10 plus years have seen a steady decline in the whole project, its not a mystery you cannot live on past results, Fergie celebrated victories on a very short term basis and constantly within budgets rebuilt the squad, he got lucky sometimes and unlucky in other times, the huge difference is that the players used to run through brick walls for him, the players regardless of the manager should have pride, its not the manager, who buys the players the manager, I dont think so not today its all changed, UTD will come back but its going to take a lot more patience and a lot more commitment from the playing staff.
