WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps 2023

On 29 April 2023 the World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps took place.
In this sports car championship, drivers try to be the fastest during long races in Hypercars, Prototypes and GT cars. There are effectively 3 races going on at the same time, so there is always action to be found. The jewel in the crown of the championship is the 24 Hours of Le Mans every June.
The circuit itself is widely known for its legendary Eau Rouge and Radillion corners, among others.
Besides the WEC, there were also supporting races, these were Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.
The classes:
The Hypercar class is the fastest class and races for overall victory. In it, Toyota, Ferrari, Peugeot, Porsche, Cadillac and Glickenhaus participate.
The LMP2 class consists of prototypes driven by teams such as WRT, Jota and Prema.
The GTE Am class is aimed at paying drivers in GT cars and is run by private drivers. This class includes the likes of Iron Dames, Dempsey-Proton and TF Sport.
