Did he though? Maybe jealousy at the time or not wanting to be outshined. The music was starting to shift, Diddy was trying to find his way trying to follow up "No way out.". He lost his magic touch around that time period when Missy was getting experimental. So maybe he really didn't get it at the time.

Diddy is what happened to all the artists/bands he signed. I can't name one artist he had that didn't either die, had only 2 or 3 great albums before disappearing from the music industry (Faith, Lil Kim, Mase, Total, 112), or was a one album wonder (Day 26, Danity Kane, Diddy Dirty Money).

112 still makes music maybe not under Diddy, I saw them in concert in 2018.
New Edition was on his label also.That album flopped.

I met Keisha at a movie premiere featuring Omar Epps. Even though the movie starred him, I was more excited to meet her! 🤗 she was so beautiful and super nice. I gave her her flowers by telling her how much I loved her and the group back in the days!

I really love how eloquent Total speak (of each other or of others) in interviews. They’re never caddy or disrespectful. The world could use more of that. Hopefully they’ll give us some more good music when they’re ready.

Great job on the mini doc! I thought Total was always a beautiful group of African American women that styles was amazing and young girls can look at.
The industry is no joke. Pam came by my radio show LIU Brooklyn campus around 2002 ,2003 and shared she had to work at White Castles to make ends meet. Apparently she had no writers or publishing to hold her down when fame starts to dwindle out. She gave a great interview, talk about a lot of real shit. I wish her the best.
