    I've seen so many discussions that simply dismiss the fact that it has speakers as if literally no one would conceive of using it because it has lower quality than dedicated speakers. But for those times when I don't want to use headphones, like just watching youtube, then the desk space saved by not having a dedicated speaker on my desk is so much more convenient. I wish more monitors have speakers just for the convenience.

    Great review, man! You’re literally the only one who talked about the pixel sound feature and it was really important to me for a clean desk setup. I’m glad that it’s not a gimmick and actually sounds great! Brightness was also very important with lots of OLEDs having pretty low SDR nits. Throw in the fact that you touched up on MacBook compatibility and I’ll be getting this monitor for sure and you’ve got a new subscriber! Cheers

    This truly looks like a worthwhile endgame monitor and I’m really tempted to pick one up. That said after using the LG 45GR95QE-B as my main gaming monitor for a few weeks, I don’t think I can go back to something smaller as the sense of scale and immersion given by 45inch display is on another level entirely. Unless you specifically need the layout that works like two 24/27" monitors next to each other, UW is a garbage trend that is overhyped by AW and Samsung and looks cool in marketing but makes very little sense in practice. Most games get very weirdly stretched sides on UW, while the vertical scenery which is also an important part of most games gets cut off. 16:9 like the LG just makes more sense for most content, and fits movies and series perfectly, while also offering more vertical space for work and browsing. Go with the LG.

      to be honest - it's truly hard to say. I know glossy vs. matte divides the OLED user base haha. My real opinion is both are absolute sweet and it sorta depends on your space you know? Ambient lighting, lamps etc. - for me I'm lamps galore so matte is useful. Mostly I'm indifferent - sorry if this isn't helpful lol.

    1. Do you think the difference in quality is very big in the 24/27 inch mode? It doesn't look very bad when viewed from the video, but I'm worried that the difference will be big

    • @MinimalisTech
      @MinimalisTech  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yo!! Happy to review it and thanks for clicking!
      1. Yes! It absolutely is jarring going from 4k to 1080p - that said, you reaaaally do get used to the 1080p after about 5minutes. Typically you'd be using this mode for those competitive titles at 480hz, so it's expected. That said, for some reason the 1080p 480hz mode was less blurry at 32" vs 24/27, I mention this in the video with some examples.
      2. Yes you can lower the refresh rate to whatever you want. My MacBook through the dock for example is set to 60hz at 4k granted that's just a limitation of my thunderbolt dock. Still, 4k at 120hz on ps5 or my other PC with a 2070 I can adjust my refresh rate in windows display settings.
      3. Absolutely! Edited my last two videos on here. It's bright as heck in HDR mode so all my colour grading and editing went better than expected.

      Yup! I've got HDR on right now and the menus give me Warm, Medium, Cool, and then a manual colour temp option. Manual being a gradient of like 8 between cool and warm

      @@MinimalisTech this is fantastic news. Thank you for replying. I’ve just sent the Asus PG32UCDM back due to being locked out of colour temp settings in HDR mode. I’m used to a cooler colour temp and the asus wouldn’t let me adjust to get to that. Everything looked very yellow no orange, due to the warm temp. I’m so glad this monitor is different.

      @@Captain-Chatsyeah for sure. I didn’t go looking till you mentioned it. I landed on “W3” (warm 3 of 8) for my preferred look. Turns out there’s more gradient. There 10 cool intensities and 8 warm.

    i bought this monitor and i have a ps5 how do i make my games 120hz? can anyone help out

    • @MinimalisTech
      @MinimalisTech  Před dnem +1

      If you're thinking it's not 120hz cuz the video menu says 60hz, it's cuz the menu forces 60hz.
      Simple hop in game! Look for any settings that say performance or 120 fps mode etc.
      The menu will always say 60hz, but in game is where the magic happens.

    Do you recommend sticking to the full monitor for 480hz mode or 24.5? I just bought this monitor!

    • @MinimalisTech
      @MinimalisTech  Před 4 měsíci

      Yo! I think it comes down to preference. The 480hz 1080p on 32" will be clearer-ish than 24/27 but having swapped between them I'm constantly trying out the different sizes.
      when I'm ACTUALLY pushing rank on here I still do 24" but if I'm on quickly or w.e I'm rocking the 480hz at 32"

      @@pman93aqw I hadn’t even thought to mention that, good one. Since it’s OLED the pixels are legit turned off so I quite literally haven’t noticed it haha. You might make me notice now having mentioned it lmao.

      @@MinimalisTech Haha! Last question, if I am using the monitor for both work and gaming should I be worried about burn in? I wil be working 40 hours a week and mostly static stuff so definitely want to make sure I am making the right purchase!

    • @MinimalisTech
      @MinimalisTech  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@pman93aqw straight truth. I’ve been using OLEDs for my main desk monitor for about 2 years ish now. C2 OLED, LG 27GR95QE, KTC GP27, not a single one has exhibited any burn in. I legit do use all the burnin prevention tools etc though and they all do automatic pixel cleaning.
      I also auto hide any static elements. So far not one of them has had burn in.
      Maybe one day I will but as of yet it hasn’t happened.
      I work full time as an account 3 days a week at home and of course a crap ton of CZcams stuff. So an easy 60-70 hour weeks on my OLEDs, just for my usage reference. I really can’t complain

      @MinimalisTech  Před 4 měsíci

      The C3 is still sweet. I actually have a desk setup video planned for just my series X and ps5. It’s a dope display but for PC gaming and the all around use I think this monitor probably wins. For me at least.

    I have not seen anyone comment on this: Is the matte coat something to take into consideration or no?

    • @MinimalisTech
      @MinimalisTech  Před 4 měsíci +1

      It is something to consider. The OLED user base is split heavily over matte vs glossy. Truly it comes down to personal preference, lighting in your area, or whether it matters at all etc
