YOU MISSED! HOW COULD YOU MISS SHE WAS
*3 FEET IN FRONT OF YOU*
Mushu?
If I could log back into my old account, I would pin this to the top of the comment section. Well played good sir =)
@CountBleck2009
The prophecy came true after all
Lol ok mushu.
That’s what she said
If you beat Grunty before the age of 10, you were legendary.
I was 9 lol
i beat it when I was 13 on an actual n64
I was 8 going on 9! 😊
Yaaasssss! I was badass!
The game first came out when I was 9, and I managed to beat it without the honeycomb shield. No idea how I did it since it's still tough for me now lol.
6:13 In case you didn't know... This is Banjo's final smash.
He's in boys.
That's what I was looking for
Does this mean that you're gonna make a mashup music of Banjo-Kazooie and MLP?
I can’t wait to play as them
And what is that piky nose boi
It has no form to me :U
Ya, pretty much👍
It's awesome that Nintendo used this as Banjo's final smash!
Yeah. I missed Jinjonator. He's awesome! 😊
That's crazy, beating Gruntilda with only five honeycomb pieces.
I don't find it so challenging by now. Gruntilda's a piece of cake.
Yeah I know my brother got red honey combs
The main thing is you have to figure out how her spell projectile is programmed. It's quite clever the way they did it; but simple to figure out if you pay attention. It's impossible to beat her with 5 honeycombs if you don't learn this crucial step.
I remember doing it with six pieces.
I only beat her with eight
Jinjo! Jinjo! Jinjo! Jinjo!
*JIIIIINJOOOOO...*
Robert Jindra that was always my favorite part bro
Thank you! thank you! thank you! thank you!
*WAAAH!*
Lol 😉😉😉
@@_MIKIMOTO_ What if Grunty is a real witch who has a pointy ear that all of the witches have been around in their lives for the Demon Realm of the Owl House series? And then she’s going to be a new empress for the Emperor’s Coven who still has Belo’s loyalties with her monstrous army.
Gruntilda has always been so frustrating all throughout the game. But once you finally awaken the Jinjonator, it brings out one of the most satisfying endings in gaming history. It's one of those endings that you have to experience to fully understand.
I first beat her when i was like what.....9 years old? The ending was just awesome. Don't know how to even explain it but it's like.....damn she's tough! Can he do it? still love it 20 years later...Holy shit, this game is 20 years old?????
wtf
You're absolutely right. When I beat Gruntilda for the first time, I was so thrilled! 🤩 It honestly felt like I ended a tyrant's reign of terror.
Man, Grunty is up way there on my top ten list of frustratingly difficult bosses. I am massively impressed, this was an amazing fight to watch!
Wait, Seriously?! Grunty is easy
Sonik Hedgehg To you, maybe. No need to act all high and mighty about it. Not everyone has the same strengths and weaknesses. Personally, I found it frustrating to shoot eggs with fireballs flying up my ass all the time.
***** At first i thought, man, this is hard as all hells. But then I realized that her moves have patterns. aiming the eggs and the wonderbeak can still be a pain, but, when you notice the openings where you can attack "safely", it becomes a test of patience.
LMAO!!!!! I agree with you. She was definitely pretty difficult! A hell of a lot more difficult than I was expecting for sure.
***** Honestly the only hard part was aiming the egg
I love how Banjo kills K Rool the same exact way in his trailer!
I ever noticed that! OML
I guessed it
Dry bones k.rool is what I must have!
And if you don’t like it than that’s to sad!
*banjo kills K Rool*
Without context that sounds cursed
I bet DK and Diddy were grateful, not only to have their old friend back, but also to have his help. 😊
how the hell are you supposed to shoot eggs in to the final jinjo statue when there's firebombs on your ass?!
wiisalute ikr
wiisalute you should wait when she fires a homing fireball and then shoot 5 eggs in each hole, it can be done in 4 times
@@jorgemedina7176 I was actually able to beat this game years ago
I just said F it and just kept shooting with 1 honey comb. Missed like 5 then it went in
Wait for the fireball that tags you, wonderwing it, then shoot the eggs. There's a wait.
The most intense boss fight ever.
Wasn't too hard my ass! She was a pain to defeat, especially when you need to summon the Jinjonator while you have to deal with her blasting you with spells!
Strongly agree ^^ I hope yooka laylee can match this incredible battle :D
TheMostAwesomeMan242 Makes me fantasize of shooting the developer!!
I just did felt this intensity, of Gruntilda's wrath and her ferocity.
It was an amazing battle, even though my bones did rattle.
Every mechanic, one after another, was a perfect blend, I tell ya brother!
As if it was all in the end, that every stage was being played.
That's the battle I won't forget, even though tough, but ain't got regrets.
It took me two tries, to beat this witch, it wasn't so bad, just my voice have increased in pitch.
Real me: For real though, it was an amazing battle, which she beat me the first time, but then I beat her on my second try.
Flying part was the worst, the Jinjonator as the second worst part.
The rest, piece of cake.
Such memorable battle, won't be forgotten ever! :D
I just spent over 9 hours playing this ame, got many hollow honeycombs, 69 piggies, every jingo in the first six levels, and every music note in the first six levels, and accidentally deleted the fricking,file....!!!!!
Sixteen years old, sitting on the living room couch...
"Alright, you warty old bag! I've been climbing up this tower for the last 10 years to get at you, listening to you cackle at me... WE END THIS NOW!"
...15 minutes later
Grunty: "Grunty's fate this should not be, so hurry Klungo rescue Me!"
Me: X)
HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! Best comment ever! Absolutely true!!!!
i dont think this would even make top 10 man
Just Some Guy
I was a busy kid growing up :) Gaming was just an occasional hobby until high school.
2 years later
Me only one or two months
I've always loved it when the Jinjos came to help, then you got the big boy who pops up afterwards.
Definitely one of the more memorable moments in videos games for me
The most awesome final boss fight ever!
+Bruno Bahia One of the best of all time. And the ost of this game is amazing
No.
Absolutely agree. 😊
This fight is harder than most of the bosses in Dark souls 3.
Tony Wood no
yes
TheCrazyNintendoMan ! You haven’t done it then
No. This game is rated E for everyone. Dark Souls 3 is rated M for Mature!

Best game I have ever played. Ah, it brings back so many good memories.
Vinny Dupree and those memories shall live on, my friend! :)
I love this game but everything about this boss is infuriating. In the second phase you barely get time to shoot your projectiles and waste more eggs than you actually hit her with, and in the third phase the challenge is built around the fact that it's so freaking hard to aim when you dive. During the Jinjo part there's no clear indication of where her projectiles will land so you feel like you're just praying not to get hit while trying to dodge them. It almost makes me happy there's no other bosses in the game.
Well it is the FINAL boss, it's supposed to be hard. There's a clear technique to get through every one of her moves.
I think you're too used to final bosses that are only hard when compared to previous boss battles, Gruntilda is hard as balls, she puts your skills and abilities to the test, which a final boss should do.
Evan Poirier I know this is really late but i still play this game to this day and when ever i get to the grunty fight the game is programmed to predict where you will be in a few seconds time which is where the projectile will land which is quite easy to manipulate by simply changing directions once the projectile has been fired. On the 2nd phase there is a 5 second gap after every 4 projectiles which i use to fire as many eggs as i can at the witch. On the jinjo section i avoid projectiles and i think every 6 there is a gap which you use to shoot 6 eggs into the jinjos. Then when the jinjonator appears theres no gap at all but every 8 projectiles there is a homing spell which i use gold feathers to block then theres 2-3 seconds to shoot as many eggs into the statue.
@@Sixty4Horses This was the first boss fight I was scared of as a kid.. I had a fear of witches when I was 5 years old. Playing it now of course incredibly easy but never underestimated the underdeveloped brain of a toddler when playing video games.
SetsunaAngel99 I never grew up when the n64 and ps1 was at its peak, but when everyone started getting either an xbox 360 or a ps3 I played the n64. I must of been around 6 or 7 I first played these games on the n64, and don’t get me wrong; these games where extremely difficult for me to play at the time. I only beat sm64 100% twice if I remember correctly, as well as dk64. I never really feared anything from banjo, except engine room which I still hate till this day. I remember as a kid I used to be terrified of the ghost court yard in sm64 but that is the only thing I feared.
In the comment I made, I wasn’t trying to make the fight sound easy. I purchased the xbox live version of banjo kazooie a couple of months ago and on my first 100% play through in however many years, and I’m going to be honest I really struggled on the grunty fight at first, but I learned a strategy which was what I previously mentioned. I wanted to experience the game with a real n64 controller and a n64 console but turns out my n64 is broken so I’m trying to get that fixed now, but as a resort I used a emulator and the controls are much more difficult than the xbox controls but I got used to it after a while but I do still find it harder to get 0 deaths on a save.
Who came here just to see the jinjonator
The Jinjonator I did come to see, because it appeals to me.
Yep
Aaron Prince nope
I'm here because why i will fight with Gruntilda, specially why i don't have the notes for the red honeycombs door.
I came here to hear u.n Owen was her
the soundtrack is amazing
I came back for one specific reason
Smash
@@justaguy4498 yes, to smash grunty after the game over! You should be a fortune teller!
@@pastyle0001 XD
As a kid, this character (Grunty) always creeped me the hell out. In fact, the whole game did, to the point I couldn't even watch someone play it. I think my dad (who played it the most) made it to all the levels, but couldn't quite get everything in all of them to advance to this part.
This was the video that introduced me to Banjo Kazooie.
That's right, my first experience with Banjo Kazooie was watching the final boss.
So, thank you for introducing me to this game, I owe my love for this game to you.
This boss is so ridiculously hard. Replaying the game right now and got to this and totally forgot how hard it was. By far the hardest part of the game, no question. you really do need to get as many notes as possible to be able to have max supplies and double life. Otherwise forget it. And getting notes in the original n64 one is so hard because every time you die you lose them all, so it’s easier on the Xbox version. I managed to do it without double life but I took me about 15 tries and practicing and watching videos. And I had to endure the Jinjo statue glitch where it won’t take eggs about 5 of those times.
Você é geração nutella. Não tive dificuldade quando eu jogava no meu N64.
Skill issue
I raged so hard with this battle those fireballs can be bullshit!
I'm glad that they used this for banjo's final smash
Me too. They couldn't have picked a better final smash for Banjo and Kazooie. 😊
I've always wanted to play Banjo-Kazooie, because it feels like a 90's cartoon became a video game.
wait... why did we need to save these guys if they can beat the crap out of enemies themselves XD
...Yeah, it's even more disappointing knowing that Banjo and Kazooie didn't even deal the final blow to Grunty. Instead, it was some freaking Jinjobot deus ex machina nonsense that I still call bullshit on. And that's only one reason of several as to why I don't think very highly of the series.
How about we saved them and in return they saved us?
Carnage Darkwolfe yeah because fucking banjo kazooie is a game well known and highly regarded for being a master class in story telling, up there with the last of us as one of the best stories ever told. The gameplay is okay I guess, but it’s only a minor feature compared to the narrative. If the game basically didn’t bother with a story to focus on gameplay it would be forgivable, but in a game like this where the narrative is the whole point of the game, it’s an absolute sin
Maybe they can’t do it individually and have to combine their power to get the strength to fight them off? Regardless, it’s a game, they probably just thought it’d be fun to have another collectible XD Besides, I’d say this is satisfying in its own right. You go through this entire game trying to find these little guys and save Tootie from Gruntilda, then you’re rewarded for your efforts. In a way, it’s like Banjo-Kazooie and the Jinjos ended up working together, paying off for having worked hard and searched every knook and cranny in the game.
Jinjos explain it when you collect the first one, Gruntilda has put some spell on them which makes them trapped on the spot you find them on, so it seems they required someone to move them out of it in order to set them free.
I haven't played this game since the 90s nostalgia made me get it again just beat it today my God what a pain this boss is :)
This final boss is 85% Camera angles, 15% Gruntilda. I swear to God.
This was such a great way to end the game. Having it test the most important abilities you've learnt while Grunty changed strategy as the fight got harder and she adapted to her resources made it such an amazing climax.
I'm so happy Banjo and Kazooie along with the hero of Dragon Quest made it to Super Smash Brothers. Now I am eagerly awaiting for the two remaining others.
bsgambati1 Same here. I’m maining Banjo
Which are?
It took me 22 years to beat this game.
This is easily one of the greatest final boss battles ever.
The world NEEDS a HD Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie Remakes.
Thanks for uploading this! it made the jinjonator phase a breeze.
that spell at the end hit banjo in the beta and turned him into a frog
but not in the final as seen here
the first time I watched I had no time
I was sad because no more rhyme
I couldn't stop rhyming in my head
could not stop even in bed
now that's a rhyme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
man, the music is so freaking epic! i always will consider this game like the best game EVER!
Don't tell me I'm the only one who struggled on this boss please.
Wow, you made this look too easy. This battle took me a long time before I could finally pass (and jumped for joy when I did)
“Ouch, my butt, it’s now quite sore! I’ll make you suffer, that’s for sure!”
Man, that can so be taken out of context! 😆
I will say this, this is my favorite video game boss battle ever without a doubt. Sorry but not sorry.
I wish that the Banjo-Threeie, the real one would have come out on Wii, I would have bought it the first day.
I hope we get a Banjo Threeie on XBOX Series X, with the recent 3D platformer revival we need Banjo back
I think the only mistake Rare made on this game they omitted replaying the final battle. Once you've won you cannot fight her again unless you start a new game. It would have been nice to face Grunty again even if you had beaten her once. Why? Because this is one of the best boss battles in N64 history! I completed the game many times because I always wanted to play Grunty's Furnace fun and fight Grunty. :D
I made a file especially for this battle because it's such a badass final boss. You can watch the jinjonator pummel her, but as soon as the scene where she falls down the tower starts SHUT THE GAME OFF. Otherwise it will save and you can't battle her again.
Fun fact: You actually can challenge Grunty again after beating the game. But only with the help of Game Shark. Using a cheat code where you make Banjo levitate and go up the hole Dingpot shoots you up, you can redo the fight as much as you want.
of course in tooie you can replay fighting her but its not the same as this fight
why are you mad. you get to play the whole damn game again.
This was probably the most important moment of my life c. 1998.
7:11 let me continue your saying, grunty. "I see, my spell has failed. You've defeated me now, but I've witheld. I won't let this go to your heads. Could someone get my pain meds?"
This was the last game that i played with my father, when i was 7 years old he died , 17 years after I still playing this game with the Nintendo that my father gave me :")
Finally beat this witch. Thanks heaps for the help!
Banjo-Kazooie's is called "Overture" Banjo-Tooie's is called "Hag Overture" Gilvasunner has both songs, they are slightly different sounding.
This game has such great music for it's time
For the final phase I find it best to just stay on the defensive until she gets her super charged spell ready.
And while she’s firing it shoot the eggs in and use a gold feather to protect yourself.
That I noticed, I'm working to get better at it, I'll have to go through the whole game again, but that doesn't concern me. I did figure out an easier way, when I post a "retake" I hope to have the fastest time on CZcams.
This game was so creative.
Simple, I record off my DVD Recorder, it's actually an HD one, but I don't have a HD TV, anyway, then I use my Pinnacle Video Transfer to capture it to a flash drive and then simply upload to CZcams, I can't edit any of my footage however.
The most satisfying video I have ever watched
One of the best game ever, and the musics are great remind me my childhood once again, great days!
I completed this today after 16+ years. For those struggling, using R to try to get the camera to fix behind Banjo during the wall/egg section can help *a little*
During the 4 Jinjo section allow Grunty to fire her fireball and *then* move and it shouldn't follow you. Whereas in the later part it's better to run to and fro - or left to right and back again - during the Jingonator section to avoid those fireballs. Time the direction change per fired shot. I have no hints for the flying section and did it on 8 honeycombs with many, many deaths till I got it done. If you go into the last form with 4 honeycombs you can do it! :)
Don't we all wish we could relive the first time we ever beat Grunty? Moment I'll remember the rest of my life
At 1:55 her scream perfectly matches the beat of the music as it changes...ha!
If grunty was a rapper, she would be the best rapper in history and that's because all of her lines has at least 1 rhyme
Gruntilda Is One Of My All Time Favorite Villains

you make it look so easy. When I was a kid, Grunty was so hard to beat.
Omg you beat Gruntilda with 5 honey combs 😮 that's freaking insane 🤯
This is more epic than it has any right being
"Jinjonator, on the attack! You are not the only one who is back."
That final boss was tricky but at least I defeated Gruntilda.
i never tought i would see the ending, i never actually finished it
idk why the jinjonator scene is so funny to me
I can't believe you took her down so easily. Grunty was one of the hardest final bosses in video game history for me.
It's the worst feeling in the world when you fall from this stage during battle. You don't die, but it still feels like the games giving you a midde finger as you try to climb ALL the way back up to start the battle again.
i can’t believe they actually made the jinjonator banjo kazooie’s final smash let alone the fact they’re in at all. this all feels unreal
One of the greatest boss fights in any game.
And lo, not a single game had a boss battle as dynamic and epic as this still today.

I've been playing this game for years and I can't get past the mighty Jingo part
I miss this long lost genre of video games 😥
When I first rent this game at block buster in 1999 I was stuck on the snow level for a whole tell I got it for keeps around Christmas 2001.
I had so much fun watching my cousin play this when he would come over in the summers..
My E-mail I keep private, no one knows it, but I have a wide variety of games, usually Mario, but as of now I'm uploading Sonic Heroes, I also uploaded DK64 and Banjo-Tooie.
This is the hardest game I’ve ever played.
It makes Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Hollow Knight look easy...
Yay, I just beat this game again!!!
Ahhh the nostalgia...
I’m came here cuz I can’t wait to main banjo in smash
The final part could have been a bit easier if the firing analog stick wasn’t the same analog stick as the fucking camera
I know its impposible but imagine BK relaunched in 3ds? What an awesome dream
Gruntilda: I...am...inevitable...
Banjo: uh uh uh uh uh uh
Can I just ask WHY ON EARTH they made Grunty so incredibly frustrating and infuriating? To say I was happy when it was finally over is a BIG understatement. A great boss battle no doubt but my god, whenever you die you have to do EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN and that was more frustrating than anything.
Who all never reached this point😂 this game was so long
One of the most memorab.e games ever made
i miss this Violence from old Games
you mean with the shit box hit metre and the random damage you get from touching an enemy? Ill stick to today's standards where bs doesn't exist
When making a game like this nowadays, people are too much of pussies to implement the main antagonist's death and are afraid that it'll raise the age rating.
Yeah, gaming today is all about money so developers have to keep an E rating to appeal to as many kids as possible. Back then you could easily make an ‘offensive’ joke and no body would care, but times have changed now and ‘shooting eggs’ would be violent in the eyes of a minority.
i love this theme
Gotta say its pretty satisfying to land those flying attacks to Grunti.
I LOVE this game,i played when i was a kid,my N64 is still active,so i can play this game again from the start =3
